This month is a busy one astrologically as the planets' fall into position like a kaleidoscope and form some amazing patterns which you can see through the links above which take you to the charts. If you're a visual type like myself you will probably sense the energy emanating from them as the planets interact, first in a Grand Trine on July 17 then a Grand Sextile on July 29. I know what you're thinking about that Grand Trine, that it has to be a mistake since I've been talking about one ever since last month, which is true. However, this one is different. A variety of planets have participated in that third chair position including Venus, Mercury and the Sun but now it's Jupiter which means all three planets are outer planets, giving it a different energy, and all three are in the same degree on that day which is when the cosmic effects will be maximized. But I digress. Let's take these events in chronological order, even though there is significant overlap between them.

The New Moon on July 8 is is nextdoor neighboring sign, Cancer, your 2nd house of income, finances, possessions, needs, pleasures and what you value which has the potential to bring something new your way in this part of your life. It could be anything from a raise to simply indulging yourself in some small way. There could be some conflict involved, perhaps some unresolved issue from your past or there could be an unexpected element to it as well, perhaps an inheritance or even some sort of power struggle required before you get what you want. Mars is unaspected in your sign which can be a bit of a wildcard which could incite you to spontaneous action. This could also be a time when you're running around like the proverbial chicken with its head cut off, going in so many different directions simultaneously that you hardly know which end is up. Of course Gemini Twins are good at juggling and multitasking but this could challenge even you.

There's potential for a surprise with regard to your creative endeavors, perhaps a new, innovative idea that you're anxious to get started on right away. There's a good chance that it may require giving up another project, however, for you to have the needed resources, whether time or money, to achieve. It could also be something related to your children, romance, entertainment, speculation or self-expression that comes out of the blue, perhaps via a friend or group association. Achieving an important goal is another possibility.

So now let's take a look at this Grand Trine which is in its tightest configuration on July 17. Keep that date in mind if there is something you want to pursue that relates to its energy. Jupiter is in your 2nd house of income and such as described above and conjunct Mars, implying that you will be inclined to take action on something in this area, such as pursuing a new source of income or acquiring something new. Saturn is in Scorpio and came out of retrograde a day before the New Moon which is always good for getting things moving. Saturn retrograde is typically about something that needs to be restructured and by the time he goes direct you usually have a fairly good idea what that is. Scorpio is your 6th house of work, health, service and pets, suggesting you look in that venue for what it might be if you don't already know. Currently it looks as if going after a promotion and increase in responsibility at work is favored.

It can also be a time to address your health and restructuring your diet and exercise regimen. Neptune is the third component in his home sign of Pisces which represents your 10th house of career, reputation, public image and status. Neptune is dreamy and inspirational which can help you attain the vision you need for where you want to go. Thus, the Readers' Digest version of this Grand Trine is it's a favorable time to take action going after what you want on the job as a step toward your ultimate career goals. Bear in mind that this may be easier said than done. Something could be holding you back that you need to release or overcome before you can take this important step. The Full Moon on July 22 is in fellow Air Sign, Aquarius, your 9th house of beliefs, expectations, higher learning, politics, religions, other cultures, long-distance travel, legal matters and relocation. Typically a Full Moon brings a culmination, ending or shift to a new phase. If your birthday is right around May 21 you are most likely to see something significant come your way in this part of your life. It's going to require some adjustments, however, probably on the personal level and may constitute a new beginning or change of residence which brings mixed feelings. In other words, it may be an example of not being able to have your cake and eat it, too. The Grand trine is still in effect, albeit no longer partile but still operating. Jupiter and Mars are in the same degree, providing even more impetus coupled with a little luck to move forward. If you're still holding back, it's really time to address whatever it is and resolve it, once and for all.

There are two T-squares associated with this lunation which will usually bring some sort of challenge. Your responsibilities are likely to be at issue and whether you want to take on additional ones or perhaps let go of some former ones. It's not always easy to let go but sometimes it's required in order to move forward. Perhaps your current beliefs will be challenged in some way that affects you emotionally as new information comes your way. Unexpected news or information, perhaps of a financial nature, may come as well, and have a negative effect on your goals. If you're involved in some organization or group it may involve some expenses you weren't expecting. Transformational change may be required before you can figure out what needs to be done.

The Grand Sextile on July 29 (July 30 for those of you on the other side of the International Date Line where everything is a day ahead) is an unusual aspect pattern that has an interesting visual appearance you can see through the link. It reminds me of the facets of a cut gem which suggests the reflection of energy to a specific focal point. This is somewhat like the planets holding hands and singing Kumbaya. However, there is also the possibility of being pulled in too many directions at once because associated with all those nice sextiles which imply opportunities are four oppositions which require balance. Be wary of being too impulsive, emotionally motivated, or hanging onto something you no longer need. Also make sure you're being realistic but not so lost in detail you miss the vision. Another caution lies in waiting for someone else to do all the work for you or wanting it so badly that you will be emotionally devastated if things don't turn out as you want. Surprises and disruptions are likely, so expect the unexpected, though this does not necessarily say it will be a total bust. There are two Grand Trines involves, the preexisting Grand Water Trine now joined briefly by a Grand Earth Trine which will be fleeting since one corner is being help up by the Moon in Taurus, sign of her exaltation. Clearly this configuration favors those with Earth or Water signs. Air and Fire signs will have to make a few adjustments to fully utilize this energy but if you focus clearly on what you want you should be able to draw this energy to you and use it as you like. Due to its rather short duration due to the involvement of the Moon you may want to do so at the time it's in effect which is 18:39 GMT which translates to 1:39 p.m. EDT, 12:39 p.m. CDT, 11:39 a.m. MDT and 10:39 a.m. PDT.
