The New Moon on May 9 this month is also a solar eclipse in Taurus, your 2nd house of income, possessions, finances, needs and pleasures. This one is a member of the 15 South family in the Saros Series which, according to eclipse guru Bernadette Brady, brings a release of tension with perhaps a touch of melancholy. Solar eclipses tend to bring events and situations your way so keep an eye out bearing in mind that sometimes the effects of an eclipse can manifest before it occurs or up to several months after. Of course that makes it much more difficult to associate with the eclipse but sometimes as other planets contact that degree, particularly Mars, which will be coming up in the rear and happens to be your sign ruler, then you see something happen. Mars will reach that degree right around May 17.

Uranus is currently on your natal Sun if your birthday is right around March 31. Given that he and bad-boy Pluto are converging on an exact square this could bring some disruptions or surprises into your life which are likely to relate to your career or perhaps simply your past. Pluto is also trining Mars, however, which implies you could put on your armor and turn whatever that disturbance is into some sort of advantage and maybe even make some money from it or at least derive some satisfaction.

Jupiter, ruler of you 9th house of beliefs, expectations, philosophy of life, legal matters, religion, politics, other cultures, long-distance travel and relocation is transiting your 3rd house of siblings, neighbors, local travel, thoughts and ideas and semisextile the eclipse. What this means is that you could come up with some lucky thought or get a tip from a sibling or neighbor that changes how you see the world and offers a chance for some potentially big bucks. Mercury is conjunct the eclipse and rules your 3rd so this pretty much guarantees some serious mental energy coming your way.

One caution, however. Venus, ruler of your 2nd house of income as well as your 7th house of close relationships is converging on a square to Neptune in your 12th which includes your imagination, dreams, enlightenment, spirituality, confinement, seclusion, hidden enemies and self-undoing or what I've nicknamed the "angels and demons" house. Neptune is in his glory in that sign and while some serious inspiration is possible, all those less than nice items are also possibilities, especially with a square. This suggests that some or all of those ideas could be a bit delusional or perhaps you'll sabotage yourself in some way and not follow up on them, not believe it's possible or something like that. The upside, however, is that Saturn retrograde in your 8th house of transformations, shared resources, sex, death and regeneration and other people's money is trining Neptune which might help by setting you straight in some way. Saturn RX is about restructuring something and in the 8th it should be intense enough to get your attention and figure out exactly what needs to be done to make it so. This implies that your first impression may not be accurate and by the time Venus moves around to quincunx Saturn the needed adjustments or course changes may be more apparent.

The Full Moon on May 24 is another lunar eclipse. Unlike the one in April, this one will be visible in the USA. It occurs in Sagittarius, your 9th house of beliefs and such as defined above. Lunar eclipses tend to have more of an emotional effect while solar tends to bring events and situations. The eclipse forms a T-square with Neptune which combined with all the mental activity likely to result from the placement of the Sun and Moon could bring a few delusions, even though Saturn may help bring it to fruition. If you believe in the "thoughts become things" approach give it some serious focus and visualization and see how it goes.

For this eclipse that Uranus - Pluto square is all but exact so particularly powerful. Those of you born on April 1st should be particularly alert for something to come your way that takes you by surprise, perhaps not in a good way. This is not a good time to throw your weight around or take on the system or it may blow up in your face. This eclipse comes with some hard aspects but there's just enough help it should turn out fine. If nothing else, even though the eclipse itself forms a T-square with Neptune, the eclipse forms a Triangle of Potential for Aries, especially those of you born around March 24 which mean if you take charge, which you are prone to do anyway as a cardinal sign, you can turn it to your advantage. This is not the time to sit and do nothing but I sincerely doubt I have to worry about that with you Rams, anyway.
