The New Moon this month on May 9 (or 10th, depending where you live) is also a solar eclipse which occurs in Taurus, your 6th house of work, health, service and pets. It will be visible along a narrow path through the South Pacific and the Northern portion of Australia, where its effects will be more powerful. Eclipses are already stronger than the usual lunation and tend to last longer, sometimes even manifesting before they actually occurs. An astrological conjunction occurs when two or more astrological entities are in the same zodiacal degree. However, they may be significantly above or below each other by declination, which is the term for their distance in degrees above or below the celestial equator. For an eclipse or something like the transit of Venus they are also aligned by declination, doubling their contact and the effects.

If your birthday is right around December 11 then this eclipse will be quincunx your natal Sun and even more likely to have an influence. Watch for something significant to occur with regard to your work or job or perhaps related to your health. Mercury is conjunct the eclipse, thus suggesting news of some description. You sign ruler, Jupiter, is in your polar sign, Gemini, which is your 7th house of close relationships and semisextile the eclipse suggesting that a work relationship, possibly a new one, has potential so keep an eye out for that.

Mars is also in your house of work and separating from a trine to Pluto in nextdoor neighboring sign, Capricorn, your 2nd house of income, possessions, needs, finances and pleasures. Pluto plodding through this house is a time to trim your budget and take greater control of your spending habits as well as how you take care of your possessions. The trine to Mars suggests that taking action on the job can have a favorable effect on your income.

However, Pluto is also being squared by Uranus in fellow Fire Sign, Aries, your 5th house of ego definition, romance, children, speculation, creativity and entertainment. This aspect will be in effect for quite a while and particularly strong this month since both planets move relatively slowly. They will be doing this particular two-step over the next few years, so keep an eye on it. Uranus is the planet of surprises, breakthrough, technology, freedom and rebellion. Transiting your 5th he will help you be genuine in your self-expression, really discover who you are, and perhaps want to break away from anything that has been effectively holding you back. The square to Pluto suggests this will have an effect on your income and such. In other words, you may discover that you really rather be a street mime as opposed to an engineer, which could go over like the proverbial lead balloon with your significant other.

Saturn is transiting your 12th house and currently retrograde which suggests some restructuring at work behind the scenes. This house comprises inspiration, imagination, enlightenment, spirituality, confinement, seclusion, dreams, visions, institutions, hidden enemies and self-undoing. According to traditional astrology, your Archers are "besieged" being flanked by two malefic planets, or in some respects between a rock and a hard place. If you're not feeling that way, great, but if so, now you have a reason. Saturn is trining Neptune in your 4th house of home environment, memories, cultural roots, endings and new beginnings. This could be useful for discovering something about yourself that will change the course of your life. The applying square from Venus in your house of relationships to Neptune, however, suggests this, also, may not fly with your significant other or business partner.

The Full Moon on May 24 is another lunar eclipse but this one is visible in the USA unlike the one last month and it's also in your sign. If your birthday is right around November 25 it occurs on your natal Sun which is likely to bring something significant your way. Lunar eclipses tend to operate more on the emotional level while solar eclipses tend to bring events and situations. The eclipse is forming a T-square with Neptune in your 4th house of home, endings and new beginnings with the Sun in your 7th of relationships and appears to again hint at delusions, deception, false starts, or failure to see something. Saturn is still trining Neptune, as described above, but the Sun is now in quincunx range which suggests a change of direction. The Sun, Venus, Mercury and Jupiter are all in Gemini, your house of relationships, so there's a lot of energy and thus influence in that venue.

The Uranus - Pluto square is partile (same degree) which is likely to stir up something as well. See how you feel about yourself, your creative endeavors, romantic interests, children and so forth. This is NOT a very good time for speculative ventures so some nasty surprises in that part of your life that have a financial impact are also possible. However, oddly enough, a favorable surprise is also a possibility if your birthday is right around December 3rd because at this point Uranus is trining your natal Sun. So, by transit it looks bad but when connected with your natal chart, if you're born on that date, it could be the opposite, but it will probably take a bit of effort on your part to make it happen.
