The New Moon this month on May 9 is not only in your sign but also a solar eclipse which will be visible in a narrow path across the South Pacific as well as Northern Australia. If you happen to be in that area it is likely to have an even stronger effect. It is a member of the 15 South family in the Saros Series which, according to eclipse guru, Bernadette Brady, tends to bring with it a release of tension even though some melancholy may be involved as well. Those of you born right around May 10 are most likely to see something occur as a result, including some lucky break that has financial benefits or perhaps simply a really satisfying experience of some description. Mercury is conjunct the eclipse so brings a lot of mental energy along as well. Mars is transiting your sign and conjunct your natal Sun if your birthday is right around May 5 though at some point this month he will be there for all Bulls, though the effect won't be as dramatic. A Sun-Mars conjunction is great for feeling energetic and motivated with the main risk that of being too aggressive or pushy.

Mars is trining Pluto in fellow Earth Sign, Capricorn, which will further fuel this influence with a desire for power and control, particularly regarding defending your beliefs. Pluto is in your 9th house of beliefs, expectations, religion, politics, legal matters, other cultures, long distance travel and relocation where most likely he is helping you to discard old outworn paradigms that have been holding you back. That square from Uranus to Pluto bears some watching, however. Uranus is tromping through Aries, your 12th house of inspiration, enlightenment, institutions, seclusion, confinement, hidden enemies, self-undoing, dreams and visions or what I often call the "angels and demons" house. The good news with Uranus in that locale is that he can help you break free from anything in that part of your life that may be holding you back. The bad news is that the square to Pluto in your 9th house of beliefs wants complete control which, combined with being a Fixed Sign which is often know for being stubborn, could mean you get in a position where you cut off your nose to spite your face. Be aware of that inclination and make every effort to think it through or you may regret it later.

Your sign ruler, Venus, is in Gemini, your 2nd house of income, finances, possessions, needs and pleasures which bodes well for that environment except she is converging on a square to Neptune in Pisces, your 11th house of friends, groups, organizations, goals and networking. Neptune can be inspirational or he can be delusional so what you think you see coming your way in the 2nd house may not be real. It also suggests that your friends may not give you the truth or particularly good advice or could even cost you money in some way. Since you probably tend to be frugal you may have better control on this situation than others but there is also the chance that a friend will be in trouble and simply need some help since Neptune also rules charity. Saturn in fellow Fixed Sign, Scorpio, is trining Neptune which implies that someone close to you, either personally or perhaps a business partner or professional, may be involved as well and possibly supportive of the other person in some way. More will probably develop with this situation as the month progresses.

The Full Moon is another lunar eclipse which will be visible in the US. Lunar eclipses tend to operate on the emotional level while solar eclipses tend to bring events and situations. This one occurs in Sagittarius, your 8th house of transformations, sex, death and rebirth, debt and other people's money. The Sun is in Gemini, your aforementioned 2nd house of income and such so this looks as if it could have some impact on your wallet. The T-square with Neptune suggests a group or friend may be involved in some way, which ties in with the previous eclipse.

By this time the Sun is also quincunx Saturn retrograde in your 7th house of relationships. With Saturn doing the backstroke in this house it's likely that you will be restructuring one or more relationship before the year is out. This could bring the event that precipitates that since a quincunx implies a change of direction. With Saturn the ancient ruler of your 10th house of status and career that part of your life could be involved as well. Neptune is tough to read but the fact it often means lies or deception doesn't seem very positive. There is also the chance that after a few delays or challenges that you'll come out smelling like the proverbial rose. Nonetheless I would proceed with caution, get everything in writing and recognize that any information coming from friends or groups may not be accurate. The 11th house is also the house of goals so it could also indicate you need to make some changes there, that you're not quite on the right track but with a few tweaks it can be achieved. Not much usually happens when Saturn is retrograde so the results are most likely not going to be apparent until after July.
