The New Moon this month is also a Solar Eclipse that occurs in fellow Earth Sign, Taurus, your 9th house of beliefs, expectations, higher learning, philosophy of life, politics, religion, legal matters, other cultures, long-distance travel and so forth. The eclipse visibility path is mostly in the South Pacific other than a sweep across the northern portion of Australia. Like the lunar eclipse last month this one is part of the 15 South family in the Saros Series of eclipses and tends to relate to a release of tension, which is something that is usually quite welcome. If your birthday is right around September 12 it will trine your natal Sun and more than likely bring something interesting and thought provoking your way. If you've been pursuing something in this part of your life now might be the time to see some significant progress. Other planets in Taurus include Mercury, which typically travels within a sign of the Sun, and Mars, which is in the sign of his ancient debility. Mercury is conjunct the eclipse which provides an element of movement and mental energy, important to Virgo since he's your sign ruler and ruler of your 10th house of career, reputation and status (yes, like in Facebook).

Mars likes action and may feel somewhat stuck in the mud in Taurus. However, this can also be favorable for slow and steady progress and especially helpful to those of you born around September 7. Mars is trining Pluto which effectively creates a Grand Earth Trine for those of you with birthdays between approximately September 3 - 8. Pluto is in Capricorn, your 5th house of children, romance, ego definition, entertainment, speculation and creativity. Pluto can plumb the depths of your soul and in such a configuration may be useful for discovering a part of you of which you were unaware previously and alter your view of life in some manner. There is one note of caution that even though this is a trine which has the reputation of being favorable we are nonetheless dealing with two planets that have the reputation of being malefic. In modern astrology this is not viewed as black and white as in former times when we know how to take the helm of our life and direct the energy at will. Nonetheless, the two of them pack a lot of energy and power that is even stronger in a trine. The good news is that you can use this to your advantage when you know it's there and what to do with it. For example, if you have been pondering going back to school, now would probably be a good time to act on it.

Pluto is also moving into exact square with Uranus in Aries, however, which isn't particularly good. Uranus is in your 8th house of transformations, sex, death and rebirth, taxes, debt, shared resources and other people's money and is likely to bring some surprises your way in that domain. If you do encounter some sort of revelation, however, this suggests it may be a bit hard to accept or cause a bit of an upset or, perhaps, the revelation will come from some surprise event that has significant impact. Whatever it happens to be, view it as a good thing and incorporate the lesson into the energy of that Grand Trine for long-term favorable effect.

Retrograde Saturn is in Scorpio, your 3rd house of thoughts, ideas, siblings, neighbors and local travel which implies you may be rethinking something, albeit at the subconscious level, or pondering the need to restructure a relationship with a neighbor or one of your brothers or sisters. This is sextile your Sun if your birthday is right around August 31 and should thus bring an opportunity of some sort your way. Saturn is trining Neptune in your 7th house of relationships which suggests relationship issues that should be of a favorable nature. On the other hand it could be some sort of charitable activity or being placed in a position to help someone. It's possible it will cost you money, however, given that Venus is squaring Neptune from your 10th house of status and Venus also rules your 2nd house of income, finances, possessions, needs and pleasures. Thus some degree of sacrifice may be involved but the relationship will be the better for it.

Jupiter is in Gemini, your 10th house, which should bring a lot of activity your way as far as your career and status is concerned, particularly with the semisextile to the eclipse. This could relate to expanded expectations with regard to your career or simply tie in with those other personal revelations. Jupiter rules your 4th house of home environment, cultural roots, memories, endings and new beginnings so the start of a new cycle is also possible.

The Full Moon on May 24 is another lunar eclipse, this time in Sagittarius, your 4th house as defined above. Lunar eclipse tend to operate more on the emotional level while solar may bring events and situations. Nonetheless, emotions can also be motivating. The Sun is in your 10th of career so you can see a lot of energy in this part of your life right now. The eclipse forms a T-square with Neptune in your 7th, suggesting the involvement of a relationship in some way, though Neptune tends to be somewhat mysterious and can even dissolve what he touches. Thus, if some career or status situation arises, be aware that there may be some sort of illusion involved, particularly if someone close to you is involved. If your birthday is right around August 26 - 29 this is more likely to have noticeable influence.

Venus and Mercury are in Gemini which could bring some money news your way, perhaps even a raise given they are both conjunct each other in the same degree as well as within range of Jupiter. This looks good especially if your birthday is right around September 12 - 15. A change of direction is likely which will be generally a good thing but will nonetheless involve a challenge or two. At this time the Uranus - Pluto square is partile (in the same degree of their respective signs) which bears watching. Keep a close eye on your children, especially young ones, since they may be somewhat accident prone at this time. It's probably not the best for romance, either, and speculations are another area you should approach with caution.
