Lunations and Long-term Aspects

This month is another one that's loaded with potentially important events considering there are two eclipses, a Cardinal Grand Cross edges into place, and Pluto stations retrograde only about eight hours before the first eclipse which will give it a little more punch that it probably didn't need.  The Lunar Eclipse/Full Moon is on 15 April in fellow Air Sign, Libra, your 9th house of higher learning, legal matters, beliefs, expectations, religion, politics, long-distance travel, other cultures and relocation.  A Lunar Eclipse often operates more on the emotional level than in the world around you but take note of its effects since the Solar Eclipse a few weeks later may manifest something related to it.

The Lunar Eclipse trines your Sun if your birthday is right around February 14 which will give it a stronger influence.  Otherwise look for something in your 9th house as defined above to come to your attention.  The effects of eclipses can linger for months so you may not see any results for a while.  I know that's annoying but unfortunately the way things work.  With this one spanning the axis between your 3rd house of thoughts, ideas, siblings and neighbors and your 9th there is likely to be a connection, perhaps new information coming in that has an impact on your over all philosophy of life.  After all, your belief system is largely defined by what you think, see, experience and process mentally then determine is important enough to keep and affect how you see the world.  If your birthday is right around February 10th you are probably seeing some delays relative to your career, status, reputation or public image as Saturn continues retrograde in Scorpio.  Saturn RX is related to rebuilding and restructuring so don't be surprised if something along those lines is operating in that part of your life.

That somewhat ominous Grand Cross has been forming for quite a while and is definitely active with the Lunar Eclipse.  Over all it is probably going to hit the Cardinal Signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra & Capricorn) harder than you.  If your birthday is right around February 2nd your Sun is in the same degree but fortunately the aspects are not particularly harsh as far as your Sun is concerned.  If anything, you should be on the lookout for opportunities to come your way.  No matter what happens or how disruptive or even destructive it is, there is always someone who can benefit from it and you are likely to be one of the lucky ones.  Much of this will operate on the mental level but you may also see some interesting changes at work.  Keep your ear to the ground and be prepared to move if you sense an opportunity opening up.  This means you might want to update your resume and have it ready if the need arises.  New information or perhaps a brilliant idea may come your way but implementing it will probably not be simple.  It could involve changing jobs or even going back to school or relocating.  None of that is easy but the outcome looks promising if you put in the effort.

The Grand Cross is partile, meaning all the planets are in the same degree of their respective signs, on 22 April.  This could bring some interesting events in the world around you.  It's worth noting that the Sun for the United States' Sibly chart is in the same degree and will have Jupiter sitting on it at the time.  It's also interesting that Putin's Sun is there as well.  Considering all that has been going on in the news of late, this could bring some interesting action.  Mars is retrograde until 20 May which indicates if someone makes the first move they are not likely to succeed.  You might file that away for your own consideration as well.  It is still a time to sit back, regroup, back up or redo as opposed to moving forward on a new endeavor, which is likely to require redoing eventually, anyway, because action at this time is likely to be premature.  This does not necessarily mean you can't accomplish something, like ground work for a larger project.  Nonetheless, between Mars as well as Saturn RX, you can expect delays and obstacles at this time.

The New Moon on April 28/29 is a Solar Eclipse with a path of visibility that hits part of Australia, including the city of Melbourne.  It starts in an area northwest of there and then proceeds out into the ocean to the edges of Antarctica so isn't exactly reaching a highly populated area.  It occurs in Taurus and will square your natal Sun if you were born right around January 29.  Taurus is your 4th house of home environment, cultural roots, memories, endings and new beginnings so watch for something to occur that influences that part of your life.  Those of you experiencing career issues should watch for something favorable that could point toward the possibility for more income.   It could bring something you've been dreaming of or at least a glimpse of the possibility and some ideas on how to attain it.  Ideas and information should abound and could take you by surprise.  There could be a lot of scrambling going on all around you so this is another time to keep an eye on things with the realization that chaos can bring opportunity.
