This month there is a tremendous amount of energy accumulating as that Cardinal Grand Cross converges which has various other events reinforcing it.  But first a note on the Mars Opposition on April 8.  This is part of the Mars retrograde cycle which could bring the realization that you are heading down a blind alley as far as some part of your life is concerned.  Mars is in Libra, your 11th house of friends, groups, networking, organizations, hopes, wishes and goals so this is the first place to look for something that isn't moving forward as expected.   The next place to look for hints would be your 5th house of creative expression, ego definition, children, romance, entertainment and speculation.  Mars RX is famous for slowing things down, perhaps even grinding to a stop and then feeling as if you're sitting at a red light waiting for it to change.  You may discover that you need to go back, back up or redo something during this time.  This is particularly helpful if you've inadvertently been on the wrong track so even if it's a bit annoying it actually saves you trouble in the long run.  If your birthday is right around December 10 you're likely to encounter an opportunity in this area.  If you feel a lot of inertia and lack of drive or energy that is typical of Mars RX which will end May 20 when the cosmic light will turn green.  Just don't expect to accelerate too quickly as it will take a while for the momentum to pick up again.

On April 14 Pluto stations retrograde.  This happens every year so normally isn't that big of a deal unless he stations aspecting one of your planets.  However, this year it has some interesting implications, again due to the Grand Cross.  When a planet stations it dumps a whole lot of its energy into its stationing degree.  This is especially true for the out planets which move fairly slowly, anyway.  Pluto has been at 13 degrees Capricorn since February 26 and will be there until June 4.  That is a L-O-N-G time and a lot of energy, needless to say.  It's pretty obvious that Pluto in Capricorn has been up to all sorts of things for the past few years.  Pluto is about power grabs, control, corruption, elimination and secrets as well as exposing these things so they can be cleaned up and healed.  A perfect example of a Plutonian personal experience on the physical level is having an abscessed tooth that needs to be removed so that it can heal. 

With Pluto in your 2nd house of income, possessions, finances, needs, comforts, pleasures and your physical body you have probably been experiencing various situations in this part of your life.  Pluto is all about transformation and will ultimately bring about significant changes.  This is a time to closely examine your spending habits and make any needed changes.  If, perchance, you have been unfortunate enough to have experienced tremendous loss under this transit there is more going on than meets the eye.  There is always a reason for such experiences.  The 2nd house also includes what you value and if all your material possessions are taken away it forces you to look closer at what counts the most.  This can be a time of reckoning and confronting whether your values were in proper alignment and if not correct them accordingly.

You don't have to look too far into the news these days to see all sorts of Plutonian events, especially when you consider that Capricorn rules governments and corporations.  Also bear in mind that the natal Sun for the USA is at 13 degrees Cancer and has thus been opposed by Pluto since before February when you consider transits are given a one degree orb.  Then consider that the Grand Cross will culminate at 13 degrees.  And as if that's not enough, Vladimir Putin's natal Sun is 13 degrees Libra, squaring both the USA Sun and Pluto.  Needless to say it will be interesting to see how that develops this month, especially with retrograde Mars conjunct Putin's Sun, an apropos symbol for the various sanctions directed at him.  The Pluto station chart also has a partile (same degree) conjunction between Uranus and Mercury, also at 13 degrees.  This carries the potential for some surprising news.  If your birthday is right around December 5 your Sun is at 13 degrees Sagittarius which trines this conjunction, making it more likely you will notice something at the personal level.  This could also be a burst of creative genius. 

Just under eight hours after Pluto stations (seven hours fifty-five minutes to be exact) there will be a Lunar Eclipse on April 15 in Libra.  If your birthday is right around December 17 your natal Sun forms an aspect pattern known as a Triangle of Potential with the Sun and Moon.  This provides you with the right energy to mitigate any effects of a conflict between your 5th house of creativity and ego and your 11th house of friends and goals to find the proper balance between them.  For example, if you have a creative work in progress and your friends or a group of peers give you a critique, this suggests you'll benefit most by balancing their comments with your own view of how it should be done. 

Eclipses have a lot of staying power compared to the usual lunation.  Its effects are sometimes seen prior to the actual eclipse and they can also linger for months.  This gives the Grand Cross a tremendous boost as well including that Mercury - Uranus conjunction.  On the positive side, Venus is in Pisces, sign of her exaltation as well as your 4th house of home environment, cultural roots, memories, endings and new beginnings.  This is a very favorable influence and she is trining Jupiter in Cancer, sign of his exaltation, your 8th house of transformations, death and rebirth, sex, things you suppress, intense experiences, debt, and shared resources.  This suggests an important change that appears to be beneficial.  Those born between December 3 - 5 are most likely to see something from that aspect.

The Grand Cross culminated with Uranus, Jupiter, Mars and Pluto all in 13 degrees on April 22.  This is when these aspects will peak then gradually begin to fade away.  Mars' and Pluto's effects were discussed above so let's take a closer look at Uranus and Jupiter, your sign ruler.  Uranus in your 5th house of creativity, ego definition and so forth can bring a hectic pace, a lot of disruptions but also tremendous innovation.  Uranus is also the planet of freedom and rebellion and with this the house of ego you may be trying to break away from anything holding you back.  The opposition with Mars retrograde is probably holding you back and perhaps Pluto is as well if finances are an issue.  Jupiter in your 8th house of transformations is working at some important changes as well but these are also competing with those other areas.  The Grand Cross is likely to call attention to these conflicts. 

Venus and Jupiter are still in trine which is definitely helpful.  Venus in the house of home environment and new beginnings is also trining Saturn at this point which can be useful as well.  Saturn is retrograde in your 12th house of the subconscious, spirituality, enlightenment, inspiration, dreams, visions, seclusion, confinement, institutions, hidden enemies and self-undoing where he is nudging you toward rebuilding or restructuring something in this part of your life that combined with Venus is likely to constitute an ending followed by a new beginning of some sort.  Remember that where the cosmos is involved resistance is futile.

There will be a solar eclipse on April 29 which will be visible in parts of central Australia, down through Melbourne, out into the ocean to across the tip of Antarctica and then back into the ocean. The eclipse occurs in Taurus, your 6th house of work, service, health, daily activities and pets.  Mercury is there, suggesting information, and he joins the Sun and Moon in trining Pluto, which could bring some favorable news.  Inspiration is favored as well in case you're unsure of what course to take when these events manifest.  There is a lot of opportunity out there so it looks as if it will be positive, even though that does not mean it will be without challenges or other complications before you achieve what you want.
