This month is loaded with explosive potential and I must say I haven't put it that bluntly for the other signs but figure if anyone can handle telling it like it is it would be Scorpio.  You are not put off by intensity and there is certainly a lot of that out there.  Some of that is being cloaked, however, with your traditional sign ruler, Mars, retrograde.  This is like driving with the brakes on in that it reduces your drive and energy and urges you to back up, go back or redo.  A sense of inertia and lack of ambition is typical as well.  Mars is in Libra, sign of his debility, which already was slowing him down, and Libra is your 12th house of inspiration, dreams, visions, enlightenment, spirituality, seclusion, confinement, institutions, your subconscious mind, hidden enemies and self-undoing which means these effects may not have been as noticeable for you since they're operating below the radar. 

This is a time when you may want to watch your back, where people who appear to be your friend really aren't and are trying to undermine you.  Mars in the 12th is typical of that and when retrograde, which tends toward passive aggression, it will be even more subtle.  Fortunately, if you're like most Scorpios you have a stronger than usual sense of discernment which is further strengthened by Pluto's presence in your house of thoughts and can help you see through such behavior.  Feeling that sense of inertia is highly likely as well.  If you have any self-defeating behaviors this is a good time to take a close look at them and trying to resolve them.  Self-sabotage can keep you from attaining what you want in life so the sooner you can fix it the better, even if it requires counseling. 

On April 8 Mars opposes the Sun, an important part of the Mars retrograde cycle which you can learn more about here.  The Sun is in your 6th house of work, health, daily activities, service and pets which implies you may be driving down a blind alley related to something there.  If so it is likely to become apparent around this time.  If you were going somewhere and were on the wrong road you'd want to know so you could turn around and not waste time and fuel.  This can help you recognize that and make the necessary corrections before going any further.  Take note of what Mars is up to, however, because he's not going away anytime soon.

Meanwhile, on April 14 Pluto, your modern sign ruler, stations retrograde.  This happens once a year and is usually not a big deal unless he does so aspecting one of your planets.  In this case, however, it has important implications.  When a planet stations he remains in that degree for an extended amount of time.  Since Pluto already moves slowly, this will be even more pronounced, meaning he's going to dump a whole lot of energy into 13 degrees Capricorn.  In fact, he's been in that degree since February 26 anyway and isn't going to leave, albeit temporarily, until June 4.  If your birthday is right around November 6 this is sextile your natal Sun from your 3rd house of thoughts, ideas, siblings, neighbors and local travel.  This blast of Plutonian energy will definitely fire up this part of your life.  It may also accentuate your need for power and control so if you notice people backing away from you then you might want to lighten up a bit.  While this is a favorable aspect, it nonetheless is a retrograde station which internalizes the energy so that it goes more subterranean.  This is an excellent time for research and your discernment may be enhanced as well.  This can be an interesting combination with Mars RX in the 12th as far as deep introspection is concerned. 

Pluto stationing in this degree is important in the big scheme of things because the upcoming Cardinal Grand Cross will culminate with Pluto, Uranus, Jupiter and Mars all at 13 degrees of their respective signs.  Thus, this huge infusion of energy will affect that as well.  It is already forming at the station, giving it a kick-start, if you will.  Also worth noting is a conjunction between Mercury and Uranus in that same degree which is likely to bring some surprising news related to work or some other 6th house element as defined earlier.  This could bring about a significant change of direction, especially for those of you born around November 6. 

So you have Mars RX in your 12th stirring up your subconscious mind or perhaps motivating a hidden enemy, Pluto in your house of thoughts going subterranean and something unexpected brewing at work or perhaps with your health.  Jupiter is in fellow Water sign, Cancer, your 9th house of beliefs, expectations, higher learning, legal matters, other cultures, long-distance travel, religion, politics, philosophy of life and relocation.  This house generally develops based on information coming in through your thoughts and ideas, i.e. your 3rd house, which is where Pluto is hanging out.  Jupiter is expansive and thus this implies that any deep considerations going on will have an impact on your overall belief system. 

Jupiter is usually considered benefic but in reality I've found him to somewhat neutral, his function to expand or increase whatever he touches.  For example, he tends to be involved in such things as big explosions and severe weather events which were far from lucky or beneficial.  So his function in this Grand Cross is likely to blow things up even more.  There's a caution flag here to not let things get blown out of proportion, especially if they relate to your imagination, which is possible thanks to Mars.  On the favorable side, Venus is in Pisces, another Water sign and where she is exalted, making her very beneficial, and she's trining Jupiter, so that looks like some positive things going on there.  She's in your 5th house of ego definition, creative expression, children, romance, speculation and entertainment which bodes nicely for that part of your life, especially with Jupiter expanding upon it.

Saturn is in your sign as he has been for a while and he will conjoin your natal Sun if your birthday is between November 13 - 15.  This can be a rather oppressive transit so if things aren't going so well this is likely to be at least part of the cause.  Saturn RX tends to stir up your subconscious with regard to something that needs to be rebuilt or restructured which in this case will be at the personal level.  This suggests those self-defeating behaviors again, if they apply, and Pluto in your house of thoughts can also assist in figuring out what needs to be done.  This may not surface into your conscious mind until near the end of July but you may be able to access it sooner under these aspects.

Seven hours and fifty-five minutes after Pluto stations there's a Lunar Eclipse on April 15.  This chart is so close to the station chart that it will further reinforce the energy present there.  Not only that, but eclipses tend to have a lot of staying power as opposed to the usual garden variety lunation.  They can sometimes manifest before they actually occur or sometimes months after the fact.  So this, also, reinforces that Grand Cross, this time as far as its effective duration is concerned.  On April 22 the Grand Cross culminates at 13 degrees.  This gets even more interesting when you look at it on the mundane scene considering that the natal Sun of the USA is at 13 degrees Cancer and thus conjunct the Grand Cross' Jupiter while Vladimir Putin's natal Sun is 13 Libra and conjunct Mars retrograde.  There has already been a substantial amount of tension with this situation and these astrological influences could certainly throw gasoline on the fire.  At this time there's some good news for those of you with Saturn conjunct your natal Sun because Venus is trining Saturn which can help you manage the energy and use it for personal growth of a positive nature.  This could help you see yourself as others see you in a way that provides a lot of benefit in your close relationships.  At this point the Sun has moved into Taurus, your 7th house where these people reside, and thus bringing some emphasis to that part of your life.

On April 29 there's a solar eclipse that will be visible in parts of central Australia, down through Melbourne and out into the ocean across the tip of Antarctica, then back into the ocean.  It occurs in Taurus and can thus have implications for your relationships including not only your significant other but business partners, business professionals, close friends and relatives, competitors and open enemies.  If your birthday is right around November 1 it will oppose your natal Sun and give it stronger influence.  There are a lot of opportunities out there at this time with inspirational help and insights likely.  Conversations and communications as well as the general flow of information and thought energy are favored as well which can be particularly fruitful for addressing unresolved issues from the past.
