Lunations and Long Term Aspects The New Moon/Solar Eclipse on June 1st is in Gemini, your 6th house of work, health, service and pets. Typically an eclipse is much stronger than the usual lunation so watch for significant events or situations to arise in this part of your life which necessitate a change of direction of some sort, especially for those of you with birthdays within a day or so of January 2. Your Sign Ruler, Saturn, retrograde in Libra until the 13th of the month, has been ruminating on something related to career, reputation, public image or status since the beginning of the year and he's about to tip his hand and let you know what it's all about. If you've been a bit restless or in a quandary about this part of your life during this time, this transit undoubtedly had something to do with it. This eclipse can be very useful for helping you get it together at last, figure out what needs to be done, and then take steps in that direction as appropriate. Mercury, Venus and Mars are in fellow Earth Sign, Taurus, which represents your 5th house of creativity, ego expression, children, romance, entertainment and speculation. Venus rules Taurus and is thus in her dignity, making her very effective, particularly with regard to matters that relate to love or money. Mars can provide the motivation you need to act and Mercury can give you some new ideas or information to work with. This, of course, can also tie in with those work/career issues or whatever else you have going on in a similar part of your life; in other words, those things referred to in the preceding paragraph. There is a T-square which represents challenges out there as well to watch out for. Pluto, who's been moving through your sign like a bulldozer for a few years now is at the apex, indicating there is something at the personal level you need to confront or eliminate. He is "linked in" with your sign ruler, Saturn, the planet ruminating on your career, and also Uranus, stirring things up in Aries, your 4th House of home environment, memories, cultural roots and endings. This could come about as something unexpected at home that forces you to deal with something at the personal level which needs to be eliminated but conflicts with your career or status in some way. Perhaps you're going to get a bunch of new ideas and want to go in a direction, but letting go of where you currently are isn't going to be easy. The Full Moon/Lunar Eclipse on June 15 is in neighboring sign, Sagittarius, your 12th house of enlightenment, inspiration, dreams, institutions, seclusion, hidden enemies and self-undoing as well as various other angels and demons. This could be a time when you identify some self-defeating behavior or individual who's holding you back, so give that some thought. Inspired ideas are favored which will be directed at your creativity, so make sure you make time for pursuing them. Neptune recently went into Pisces, which he rules, and while he'll make a brief return to Aquarius due to retrograde motion in the coming months, in general for the next few years you can look forward to a lot of inspiration. However, this will sometimes also bring confusion, idealism, or failure to see things as they really are, so keep that in the back of your head as well. As a practical Earth Sign you should be able to handle this reasonably well, but in case you wonder if you've lost your mind, rest assured you probably haven't but are under the influence of the King of the Deep, who also, by the way, rules drugs and alcohol, if you get my meaning. A change of course or two is likely, one related to your work, health, service or pets as you consider any financial implications on your plate and eliminating something you no longer need from your life. There is a slight chance your ego may take a bit of a beating during this time, so don't be too hard on yourself if this occurs; with an eclipse in your 12th house this could easily come about. A more positive manifestation would be a revelation on the emotional level which drives action on the creative, romantic or entertainment plane, though children or speculation may be involved instead. All in all, challenges and benefits are out there along with some necessary changes, including doing some figurative if not literal housecleaning. Eclipses tend to be significant, so pay attention and be prepared for some action that may keep you occupied for quite a while to come. |
