Lunations and Long-term Aspects The Full Moon on November 10 is in Taurus, your 8th house of transformations, intense experiences, debt, death and rebirth, shared resources and inheritances. When something changes your life this house is often if not always involved. If your birthday is right around October 12 this lunation will be more noticeable and is likely to bring about a change of direction or adjustment. Remember that a Full Moon typically brings an ending, culmination or shift to a new phase. Jupiter is also in the 8th house but is still retrograde, internalizing his energy from being expansive and optimistic to being pensive and philosophical. It is possible that you are considering an important matter which will have a significant impact. Jupiter will help you gather and assembled the facts such that you can make a decision, probably sometime after he goes direct next month. Note that the word "consider" derives from the Latin con for "with" and sider which is the root word for "stars" such as in sidereal. Thus, it means "with the stars" which certainly implies using astrology to understand the events of your life, which is why I'm writing this and you're reading it. Jupiter is very active this month, lending his energy to much that is going on. He is the ruler of your 3rd house of thoughts, ideas, siblings, neighbors and short journeys such as your daily commute so is even more helpful for Libras than some of the other signs. This is undoubtedly a time of contemplation. Jupiter is trining Pluto in fellow Cardinal Sign, Capricorn, your 4th house of home environment, family, memories, cultural roots and endings. Pluto in this house will direct you to ponder your upbringing and your past. Anything unresolved in that part of your life will be on your mind as you try to sort things out. Relationships are important to Libra and some have been known to stay in a bad one rather than not have one at all. Family relationships are obviously important as well. Discord is poorly tolerated so keeping the peace is also preferred. Your sense of fairness is typically strong and objective; thus mediating and discussing differences sometimes comes easily for you, provided you're not personally involved in the issue. If you are, then you may tend to let it stew rather than risk a confrontation. The problem is it is unlikely to ever go away until you deal with it, uncomfortable though it may be. Jupiter is in a loose, out of sign trine with Mars which will nonetheless promote taking action, perhaps only mentally. Mars is in your 11th house of friends, organizations, groups and goals and thus imparting his energy to that part of your life. He's only a sneeze away from Virgo, however, so won't be there much longer. During the past month or so during his sojourn in Leo you may have had a lot of action in this part of your life but this may be the one final thing you need to put on your "To Do" list at least. Neptune may be fogging the issue and giving you any number of reasons why you should continue to ignore it. Uranus, on the other hand, is pushing for change. Uranus is retrograde in your 7th house of relationships where he may be stirring up quite a few surprises. He may even trigger an event that figuratively rubs your nose in that old issue. And all of this leads back to whatever is buried in your past which you have never properly resolved. Your sign ruler, Venus, is in a partile (same degree) conjunction with Mercury in your 3rd house of thoughts and so forth as defined above. If your birthday is right around October 4 this lovely pair is sextile your natal Sun, providing an extra boost of favorable thoughts and the ability to communicate in a pleasant manner. This can certainly be useful if you finally decide to talk about a difficult subject. Thus, if you have something in your past which has been quietly haunting you the Universe is lending you a hand to deal with it once and for all. The New Moon on November 25 is also a Solar Eclipse which occurs in Sagittarius, your aforementioned 3rd house of thoughts, siblings, neighbors and such. An eclipse carries a lot more weight than the usual lunation and can last for a year or more. The degree of the eclipse becomes a sensitive point and when another planet contacts it later by transit it can trigger its influence. For example, Mars will pass that degree in October 2012, at which time you will have undoubtedly totally forgotten about this horoscope. Jupiter is even more involved in this eclipse than the Full Moon. By this time Mars has gone into Virgo and is now part of a Grand Earth Trine with Jupiter and Pluto. The houses involved are what as known as the "Endings Houses" which comprise your home environment and memories (4th); transformations (8th); and Angels and Demons (12th) which includes spirituality, inspiration, dreams, enlightenment, institutions, seclusion, confinement, hidden enemies and self-undoing. With a Grand Trine linking these houses together they will all be party to something. But remember this "something" may not be obvious for a while! On the other hand, you may know exactly what this is all about. Jupiter is quincunx the eclipse Sun and Moon pushing for a change of course or adjustment which has transformational potential. He is still retrograde so philosophical or ethics issues are likely to be involved. Venus is applying to a trine to Jupiter which will lend her kindness to these ponderings, helping you see the positive side of things and thus enhance your natural sense of fairness. She is also sextile Neptune in your 5th house of ego definition, creativity, children, romance, entertainment and speculation which may bring some inspiration from this part of your life. For example, if this issue has something to do with your childhood, perhaps a child will give you additional insights. Perhaps you've never quite forgiven someone for hurting your feelings when you were six years old but now that you're a parent yourself and bark at your own child you realize the reality of such relationships. Saturn is in your sign and right on your natal Sun if your birthday is right around October 19. Saturn transits can be pretty difficult except Libra is the sign of his exaltation which tends to bring out the favorable side of Saturn as opposed to the taskmaster. Increased discipline and structure are typically his message. His trine to Neptune in your 5th house of creativity, children, romance and ego definition may bring inspiration or insights into your responsibilities to your children or romantic partners or even your creativity. This should be a pleasant influence. Saturn manifests things in reality while Neptune can represent dreams and things which are intangible so this is favorable for making your dreams reality. At this time Mercury has gone retrograde which is also terrifically apropos in your 3rd house of thoughts and ideas. This is time to reconsider, rethink, re-plan, redesign, revise, research, or "re" something. Moving forward isn't likely, there is something which needs to be corrected or embellished with additional information. This also implies that you may not see the effects of this eclipse until at least mid-December when Mercury goes direct. Also remember that Mercury RX is a time when mechanical and electronic items are more likely to break down. Repair and maintenance are well-suited for this time. However, buying a replacement is not! Anything in those categories which you purchase during that time is likely to not function properly. Thus, you should avoid, if at all possible, replacing it until at least December 14 and preferably after the first of the year when Mercury has resumed making progress which is defined as when he reaches the zodiacal degree where he first went retrograde. This happens on January 2. Sometimes waiting is definitely uncomfortable. A year ago my fridge decided to go out during a Mercury RX cycle. I lived out of an ice chest for a couple weeks, which was really fun since I live 15 miles from the nearest town. Shopping daily was not an option. A few days after Mercury went direct I bought a new one. While it works okay it sounds like it's haunted and the freezer handle falls off on a fairly regular basis. If you must replace an appliance be sure to get the extended warranty because it is very likely to pay off. But buying a car at this time is REALLY not a good idea. Rent one if you have to, but please try to wait until the first of the year in spite of all those Christmas specials. Remember that repairing is favored so consider that carefully before deciding to replace it. That said, there are a few other aspects in the eclipse that need to be pointed out. Mars is squaring the eclipse from your 12th house. Mars in the 12th can definitely imply action on the part of a hidden enemy, which can also be you since this house also comprises self-defeating behaviors. This implies aggression or action which clashes with that issue you're pondering, perhaps subconsciously and will attempt to negate any of the good things Venus is trying to effect. This can also represent any subconscious anger you've been harboring. Uranus is trining the eclipse, thus infusing it with energy from someone close to you, perhaps someone who knows what the problem is and is trying to get you to take care of business. Or it could also be an event that sudden makes you think about it and resurrect all those feelings you thought you had effectively buried. All in all, this month's lunations have a stronger impact on Libra than most of the other signs. You may not see it clearly for a while but it will undoubtedly come about sometime, perhaps when you're least expecting it. If you already have a good idea what it is, use this cosmic energy to take care of it once and for all. Libras don't do well with discord so don't let it eat at you any longer. Git 'r' dun! |
