Lunations and Long-term Aspects

Just a note for those of you with a birthday right around March 6th.  Right now you are experiencing what is called a Nodal Square which is probably stirring up your life a bit, perhaps even to the point of being life-changing.  First of all, this involved the Lunar Nodes which mark the zodiacal locations where the Moon's orbit intersects the ecliptic, which is the Earth's orbit around the Sun.  The North or Ascending Node is where the Moon moves into the Northern Hemisphere and the South or Descending Node is where it moves into the Southern Hemisphere.  Since they are related to the Moon (obviously) they also have some intuitive and emotional energies.  As you would expect, the nodes oppose each other and work together.  Typically the North Node brings something new into your life while the South Node escorts something out, making room for whatever is coming in.  The houses involved are your 4th of home environment, memories and endings, where something is likely to exit, and your 10th house of career, reputation, public image and status, where something new is coming in.  Clearly the South Node in the house of endings fits nicely.  Therefore, keep watch for something to come your way that relates to your career or other matter.  "Status" is a rather vague term which also relates to that house and includes anything you might find in the newspaper or public record or, as you may expect, Facebook.

The Full Moon, which also typically denotes an ending, culmination or shift to a new phase, is in nextdoor neighboring sign, Aries, your 2nd house of finances, income, possessions, needs and pleasures.  So far, if you're one of those unfortunate people who has been without a job for a while, this bodes quite nicely for finding one.  Uranus, planet of disruptions, disturbances, rebellion, breaking free, innovation, surprises and the unexpected, is also in Aries in this house which isn't especially good news since it implies you can continue to expect such things in your house of income for several years to come.  This is not to say that they'll all be bad because that is not a given, but Uranus is unpredictable by his very nature so there's no telling.  For this lunation that bad boy is quincunx Venus, natural rule of love and money, who's in fellow Water Sign, Scorpio, your 9th House of beliefs and expectations, legal matters, higher learning, religion, politics, other cultures, foreign travel and so forth.  A quincunx usually indicates a change of direction or adjustment is needed.  In other words, something unexpected may come along which is going to challenge your beliefs and/or your wallet.  Perhaps you'll win a trip abroad, yet it only covers airfare and you don't have the money for the rest of the expenses or something like that.

The Sun, Saturn and Mercury are in Libra, your 8th house of transformation, sex, death and rebirth, shared resources, debt and intense experiences, bringing emphasis to that part of your life.  The Sun and Saturn are conjunct, suggesting some sort of group involvement given Saturn rules your 11th house of groups.  These two also emphasize responsibility and structure which could relate to debt with Mercury in that same house useful for facilitating a resolution.  Your modern sign ruler, Neptune, is back in your 12th house, Aquarius, due to retrograde motion though this is certainly not a bad place for him to be.  Pisces are the domiciled residents of the 12th house making it one of your favorite places to be with Neptune's energy in that venue about as good as it gets.  Even better, Neptune is trining Mercury which will provide some strong intuitive energy and possibly inspiration with regard to whatever you're dealing with in the 8th.  This will help you further access any spiritual dimensions for additional assistance in understanding or dealing with any difficult situations.

Pluto is in your 11th house which of course is going to be the case for a long, long time.  This house comprises your friends, groups, organizations, goals, hopes and wishes.  Pluto's work in that venue is going to help you shed anything that is holding you back, whether it is supposed friends who consume too much of your time without giving anything back to any supposed goals you're hanging onto which are no longer worth pursuing.  Something in this part of your life may be relevant to that financial surprise as well.  Your traditional sign ruler, Jupiter, is retrograde in Taurus, your 3rd house of thoughts, ideas, neighbors, siblings and local travel.  While retrograde Jupiter's expansive energy is internalized and will direct your thoughts toward more philosophical ponderings which in this house will make you think a little deeper and process information coming in slightly differently than you usually would.  This can be beneficial provided you don't go too far overboard trying to justify something that you really need to ditch.

Mars is in Leo, your 6th house of work, which is good for action in this part of your life with the trine with the Full Moon also suggesting a favorable change to your income.  Mars energy is great for getting motivated and moving toward something you want or a new project so don't let it go to waste.

The New Moon on October 26 is in fellow Water Sign, Scorpio, your 9th house of beliefs and so forth as noted earlier.   If your birthday is right around February 22 this New Moon will trine your natal Sun, giving it even more power to affect your life. This is an excellent time to begin a new endeavor such as going back to school, embracing a new belief system of either the religious or political variety, or especially taking a trip somewhere you've never been before.  Mercury and Venus are in Scorpio as well, further contributing to this being a favorable experience as well as facilitating the thought process.  Mercury and Venus are conjunct and squaring Mars, however, which implies that whatever is going on is going to possibly conflict with your job.  Going back to the trip analogy, maybe you don't have any vacation days at work so taking off will present a problem there.  Saturn in the 8th may help work it all out, however, perhaps by facilitating a reasonable loan.

As some new beliefs or other experiences come your way you will see more clearly what housecleaning needs to be done with your friends, groups or goals, even though there is some chance this will have an unfavorable effect on your income for some reason.  An unexpected change of direction is highly likely.  Spiritual insights, however, are also highly likely which can make it all worth it, whatever it is.  There may be some conflict between your thoughts and beliefs at this time as well which will cause significant introspection.  Of course your beliefs ultimately evolve from individual thoughts, but in this case you may come into a situation where you scrutinize your beliefs and find they no longer fit.  Leaving them behind and setting out on a new path is more than appropriate given this is a New Moon.
