Lunations and Long Term Aspects The Full Moon on February 7 is in Leo, your 8th house of transformations, sex, death and regeneration, shared resources, debt and intense experiences which should bring a culmination or shift in phase to something in this part of your life. If your birthday is within a day or so of January 9 this lunation will quincunx your natal Sun and thus have the potential to shift you in a slightly different direction. Pluto is still cruising through your sign and is currently confronting the natal Sun of those of your born right around December 31. As a Christmas baby myself I have recently been through a Pluto transit and can assure you that, while it is no cake walk, by the time you get to the other side you will not only be a slightly different person but probably better off. Your sign ruler, Saturn, goes retrograde the same day as the Full Moon, keeping him in Libra for a while longer. This is the sign of his exaltation, which brings out his positive traits such as discipline, organization and responsibility though, as usual, while retrograde you will probably experience delays and restrictions. Libra comprises your 10th house of career, reputation, public image and status, so if you're trying to move forward with something in this part of your life, it probably isn't going to bear fruit for several months. If your birthday is right around January 20 this effect will be the strongest as Saturn squares your natal Sun. Furthermore, Mars is retrograde in fellow Earth Sign, Virgo, your 9th house of higher learning, legal matters, religion, politics, beliefs and expectations, other cultures and long-distance travel which will stall efforts in that area as well. Mars provides us with drive and energy and when he goes retrograde, which occurs approximately every two years, that often grinds to a screeching halt, at least in the house he's transiting. Since Mars rules Aries, your 4th house of home environment, memories, cultural roots and endings, you are likely to see some effects there as well. Since you are typically driven with ambition this may provide a much-needed rest and time to examine your goals. This is when you can determine whether or not you're headed in the right direction or pursuing something you really care about. Dissatisfaction, suppressed anger, and frustration can arise, particularly if you're trying desperately to move forward. Doing so is going to be similar to running through a swamp. If it's not the sticky mud and plant life obstructing you path it will be alligators and other wildlife distracting you until you wonder why you're there in the first place; which is exactly what you need to figure out. Neptune recently entered his home sign of Pisces where he will rule and reign with tremendous power and influence. Pisces is your 3rd house of thoughts, ideas, neighbors, siblings and local travel. This can provide all sorts of insights, inspiration, enlightenment and even transcendence but also be aware that delusions, illusions and all sorts of deception can lurk there as well. As an Earth Sign you have a strong, practical nature that tends toward logic, so make sure you use that to give your ideas a reality check. Your dreams are likely to be more vivid at this time as well as your perceptions more keen. This is an excellent time for research and defining your dreams and is going to last until March 2025 so don't think you need to do it all at once. Jupiter is in Taurus, another fellow Earth Sign, which comprises your 5th house of ego definition, creativity, children, romance, entertainment and speculation. Jupiter is a bit inhibited in Taurus but a favorable influence nonetheless. However, he's opposing Saturn which will bring some of those restrictions into this part of your life. This is not necessarily a bad thing because Saturn can ultimately help you structure whatever you have going in this part of your life into a form which will be even more viable later this year. Remember that timing is everything and the Universe has this defined. No matter how obnoxious the cosmos may seem at times, everything is intended to help you to ultimately achieve your chosen destiny. The New Moon on February 21 is in Pisces, your 3rd house as defined above. This is likely to bring a new idea your way or perhaps a new situation with a neighbor or sibling. There is a whole lot of energy is this sign at this time including the Sun, Moon, Neptune and Mercury, making this an absolutely perfect time to work on defining your dreams and aspirations. If your birthday is right around December 25 this lunation sextiles your natal Sun, implying an opportunity awaits. Remember that "thoughts become things" and you can't go after your dreams if you haven't quite figured out what they are. My favorite book in this regard is Mike Dooley's "Infinite Possibilities: The Art of Living Your Dreams." Use this time to get inspired, make yourself a vision board of what you want, then use that Cappy drive to make it so. This is not going to happen overnight, but putting together an air-tight plan is the first step toward achieving success. Even Mars retrograde can work in your favor as you examine your current belief system and philosophy of life for any flaws which may have been holding you back. For this lunation Jupiter is trining Pluto, an aspect which will help unearth anything from your past which may need to be resurrected, such as a childhood dream long since buried. These transits may currently have all the appeal of miles of roadwork when you're anxious to get to your destination but later this year you'll be able to look back on them and see how they helped you adjust your course as required to head toward what you really want. Patience and planning is all it will take. |
