Lunations and Long-term Aspects The Full Moon on February 7 occurs in Leo and will be conjunct your natal Sun if your birthday is within a few days of August 12. If that describes you, then you should see or hear something of interest with regard to a close relationship. I know that's pretty vague and statistically pretty likely that you'll hear SOMETHING about a person you know well, but this should affect you personally and be noteworthy. Mars is retrograde in Virgo, your 2nd house of income, finances, possessions, needs and pleasures. This is probably not exactly helping your monetary situation, no matter what it may be. First of all, since Mars provides us with energy and motivation, there is a good chance that your drive in this area may have deflated like a New Years' Party balloon. In other words, your interest may have simply vanished. On the other hand, you may be wrought with frustration because no matter how much effort you put in the results are null. Mars RX in this house can also bring a variety of problems you way as far as things breaking down, whether it's your auto or an appliance. Nothin' in this house will be properly motivated at this time. While you may just have to accept the inevitable and let this transit run its course, you should also use it to ponder whether or not you're taking the right approach to this part of your life. For most folks, your source of income is your job unless you're fortunate enough to be a trust fund baby. Currently Pluto is plodding through your 6th house of work, service, health and pets which is going to relate to this in one way or another. Pluto roots out corruption, unresolved issues, and all sorts of dirty secrets, some of which you see on the news with regard to government and corporate entities who are ruled by Capricorn and thus prime targets of Pluto's wrath. Needless to say, if you have any dirty laundry in this part of your life you should brace yourself to be exposed. For most of you, however, this may be a time to do some serious soul-searching with regard to whether or not you're in the right job. If you're in a line of work such as forensics this placement will be a tremendous boost to your abilities. Various other Pluto-ruled occupations such as plumbers, exterminators, and encryption specialists will also benefit as well as those in the darker ranks of illegal activities such as drug runners and prostitutes. These are not usually the occupation of choice of most Leos, but if you suddenly feel drawn to such endeavors, you can safety blame Pluto. Neptune goes into Pisces on February 4th which could affect you as well. Pisces is your 8th house of intense experiences, transformation, shared resources, sex, death and regeneration and so forth. If these sound a bit Plutonian you're correct, given that Pluto rules Scorpio, the zodiacal 8th house. Since Neptune rules Pisces his presence there will contribute significantly to that house's energy which is dreamy, given to excursions of fantasy, idealistic and possibly inclined toward escaping reality by whatever means necessarily. Most Leos like to enjoy themselves and will often indulge in various adult beverages. Neptune in the 8th may provide alcohol with considerable appeal for getting away from it all, which is not a particularly good idea. Whatever your challenges may be, transforming into a drunken sot is not going to help your situation. Trust me on that one. Saturn goes retrograde the same day as the Full Moon which is worth some consideration as well. Saturn is in Libra, sign of his exaltation, which is a very good thing since it tends to bring out his positive side which comprises discipline, responsibility and organization, all of which will be directed at your 3rd house of thoughts, ideas, siblings and neighbors as well as local travel. While retrograde, however, you will experience delays and various restrictions. Nonetheless, this is a favorable time to brainstorm, consider your situation in a logical manner and come up with an exit plan if you don't like where you are. If you're satisfied, then this may simply mean your daily commute is honked up by roadwork. Saturn is opposing Jupiter, however, who is transiting fellow Fixed Sign, Taurus, your 10th house of career, reputation, public image and status. Jupiter is trying to expand this part of your life, but Saturn may be holding him back. This could translate to negative thoughts on your part, which isn't typical of most Leos, or other obstacles keeping you from progressing. Of course if your career is stagnated, then it figures that your income is stuck in the mud as well. Consider whether you may be digging yourself deeper into a hole rather than climbing out. The New Moon on February 21 is in Pisces, your aforementioned 8th house of transformations. If your birthday is within a day or so of July 26 this lunation will quincunx your natal Sun and provide the potential for a change of direction. This could be a very good thing. The transformational energy will be there for all Leos, but those hit directly by aspect will feel it more strongly. There is a tremendous amount of energy in Pisces at this time, including not only the Sun and Moon but Neptune and Mercury as well. This can provide all sorts of inspiration which could have a transformational effect. Mars is still doing the backstroke in your house of income, but most likely any matters you're dealing with there aren't going to be solved overnight, anyway. The New Moon and Neptune are trining Saturn, described earlier, as being in your 3rd house of thought, so you can see how inspired thoughts could result from this lunation. At this time Jupiter is trining Pluto which can have favorable implications for your job and career. Perhaps you'll uncover something with regard to your job which provides a career boost, whether it's a scientific breakthrough that earns you a bonus or promotion or perhaps positive attention from someone in power will benefit you. At any rate, it has potential worth watching for. Note, also, that Venus is in fellow Fire Sign, Aries, your 9th house of beliefs and expectations, academia, religion, politics, legal matters, other cultures and long-distance travel, which can have a very favorable effect on any endeavors in that part of your life. If nothing else, this can be a good thing for having a positive attitude toward making the needed adjustments to get where you want to be. |
