Lunations and Long-term Aspects Take note that the Full Moon on June 4th is also a Lunar Eclipse, the companion to the Solar Eclipse on May 20. Both are members of the 14S family of the Saros Series which, according to eclipse guru, Bernadette Brady, is a success-oriented one, particularly with regard to something you've been working toward for a long time. Looking at the chart for this eclipse it doesn't look that friendly, but the fact of the matter is that you can't necessarily tell because it depends on how it aspects your natal chart. Or your secondary progressed, solar return, planet return or even your relocated chart, if you've moved a significant distance from your place of birth. It doesn't look overly friendly for Pisces, however, at least at first glance, given that the Sun and Moon are in Gemini and Sagittarius respectively which places them in fellow Mutable Signs which will square your Sun if your birthday is right around March 5 - 7. This will actually form a Grand Cross due to the fact that Mars is opposing your Sun from Virgo, your 7th house of close relationships. So let's see what's going on. The Moon is in Sagittarius, your 10th house of career, public image, reputation and status with the eclipse suggesting some sort of overshadowing occurring in that part of your life. The Sun is in Gemini, your 4th house of home environment, memories, cultural roots, and new beginnings along with Mercury and Venus, whom we'll get to in a moment. Of course having to balance the demands of career and home are pretty typical, but the 4th house is also where new cycles begin, so that is another possibility. Mars in Virgo is squaring them both and implies a lot of action with regard to your relationships, including your significant other, close friends and relatives, business partners, competitors and business professionals which is likely to conflict with whatever is going on with your career. These are all angular houses which are where the action begins so it looks as if there will be a lot going on this month. Mercury is in Gemini and trining Saturn who's retrograde in Libra your 8th house of transformations, debt, sex, death and rebirth, intense experiences, and shared resources. When Saturn is retrograde he is typically stirring something up at the subconscious level which will become apparent once he stations direct, which will be June 25. At that time you can confront whatever it is and begin to take care of business. Thus, Mercury could bring you news of a new cycle related to this part of your life. For example, you may payoff a major debt or perhaps set out on a shared venture of some sort. Venus is retrograde and conjunct the Sun for the eclipse and thus participating in the T-square with Mars. Venus rules your 8th house, where Saturn is hanging out, so these two are likely to be working together. She also rules your 3rd house of thoughts, ideas, siblings and neighbors. The thing I want you to consider is that when Venus is retrograde she is no longer the Goddess of Love but becomes the Goddess of War, changing her character substantially. This is when she will fight for what she wants and needs, so bear that in mind with regard to whatever is going on in your life. In other words, this is the time to stand your ground and go after what you want. A long-term aspect to take note of is a square between Uranus and Pluto which will last until the end of the year. How much it affects your life will again be determined by how it interacts with your chart(s). Nonetheless, Uranus is in nextdoor neighbor sign, Aries, your 2nd house of finances, income, possessions, needs and pleasures. Aries, of course, is impulsive and direct. Now add the influence of Uranus, the planet which rules disruptions, disturbances, sudden change, surprises, unexpected events, rebellion, breakthroughs, technology, and explosions, to name a few. Needless to say when you put all that together you can expect anything but boring stability with regard to your income and possessions. Pluto, the zodiacal roto-rooter who is in hard aspect with Uranus, is in Capricorn, your 11th house of goals, friends, organizations and groups. Pluto is about such things as power trips, eliminating things you no longer need, letting go, and resolving old messes from the past. There is a possibility that some old matter lurking in your past could come back like a zombie and cause you a bit of trouble. The New Moon on June 19 is in Gemini again, which is somewhat rare. This is because the Solar Eclipse/New Moon last month was at 00:21 Gemini and this month the New Moon is at 28:43 Gemini which illustrates the 28 days lunar cycle along with the fact the Sun moves approximately one zodiacal degree per day. The good news is that this gives you a second chance to start something new including a new phase or cycle, especially given this occurs in your 4th house where New Beginnings originate, though it could also pertain directly to your home environment. This lunation is a bit friendlier. For one thing, the New Moon system comprising the Sun and Moon are both trining your sign ruler, Neptune, who is happily plodding along in your sign where he's the ruler. His influence is powerful there and you may have already felt his influence in such ways as a significant increase in your already strong intuitive powers, more vivid dreams, being someway unmotivated and dreamy and so forth. Neptune is also excellent for providing enlightenment and inspiration so if you need that for anything, the energy is just waiting for you to access it. Note that Venus is in full battle regalia at this time and can be seen as the Morning Star, if you're so inclined to go look for her prior to sunrise. As you recall, she is ready to help you fight for what you need and is thus working with that Pluto - Uranus square in that regard. This may sound like a bit of a strange combination but it looks promising for doing you some good. Venus is quincunx Pluto, an aspect which indicates a change of direction or adjustment and Pluto is in your 11th house of friends and goals. Thus, the implications are that you can revamp one of your goals in such a way that it is more likely to meet your needs. Venus is also sextile Uranus which, even though he can be a bit of a trouble maker, there is no law that says his surprises won't be favorable ones. So this seems to be saying go ahead and go after what you want, even if it shakes a few things up initially, because it is likely to come around to your benefit. One caution to bear in mind is that Jupiter, your ancient sign ruler before the discovery of Neptune, is squaring Neptune. Jupiter is typically a benefic planet who usually isn't too troublesome, but he does rule excesses and in cahoots with Neptune this could be a bit too much imagination or fantasy, so don't get too carried away without a sanity check. Another aspect for the New Moon involves Mercury, now in fellow Water sign, Cancer, where he is aspecting both Saturn and Mars. He is squaring Saturn from your 5th house of ego definition, children, romance, creativity, entertainment and speculation. This looks like news that may not be particularly enchanting whether it involves your ego or something else residing in that house, but it's probably going to relate to a responsibility of some description. He is also sextile Mars, however, which is a more favorable aspect which denotes an opportunity, in this case to pursue something with regard to a partnership or other close relationship. Perhaps someone you know can assist with getting you out of that other mess, whatever it might be. Mars is just barely coming out of the shadow period of his retrograde cycle a month or so ago, so whatever it is will finally get rolling around the 20th, or the day after this lunation. It looks as if this month will be a rather active one with a mixture of happenings. Be sure to take advantage of your sign ruler, Neptune's, ability to help you manage the stress in your life by escaping in (responsible) ways as required if things get a bit hectic this month. It looks as if various new cycles are coming your way and even if it means clearing the deck with regard to some old baggage, there is no better time to make a fresh start.
