Lunations and Long-term Aspects The New Moon this month on October 15th is in Libra, your 8th house of transformations, sex, death and regeneration, debt, and shared resources. If your birthday is right around March 14 it will form a quincunx with your natal Sun which suggests a change of course or direction. That Uranus - Pluto square which was described in previous horoscopes is still in effect but I won't belabor it further; just be aware that it's still there and may be demanding a complete renovation of your goals and/or stirring up your finances among other possibilities. This lunation bring another square between Venus and Jupiter. These two are usually considered benefic planets but they are in signs where they are both somewhat dysfunctional which combined with a hard aspect may not be particularly good, even though it's not as ominous as a square between the "bad boys" such as Mars and Pluto. Venus is in Virgo, your polar sign and 7th house of close relationships. The love goddess is in fall in this sign where its critical, picky, detail-oriented nature isn't compatible with her peace-loving nature. If your birthday is right around March 6th you'll be dealing with a T-square with your natal Sun so can expect to encounter some relationship issues. Jupiter is in fellow Mutable Sign, Gemini, where he may stir up grandiose ideas or expectations. This is your 4th house of home environment, memories, cultural roots, endings and new beginnings. He goes retrograde on October 4th and if your birthday is the 6th then there will be a specific message associated with it since stationing planets provide a huge infusion of energy when they connect with your chart. Jupiter retrograde is often about ethics issues, so keep that in mind. Jupiter is your ancient sign ruler so has even more influence, making this aspect worth serious consideration, particularly with angular houses (4th and 7th) involved, which are cornerstones of your life. This aspect won't necessarily be a bad thing but will nonetheless provide a challenge or situation of some importance so keep an eye out for what it means in your life. Mercury, natural ruler of information and thought, is involved as well with the Jupiter - Venus square. He's in fellow Water Sign, Scorpio, which can help you sort things out. Scorpio is a discerning sign and represents your 9th house of beliefs, expectations, higher learning, legal matters, foreign travel, other cultures, religion, politics, and relocation. This should help you sort things out, particularly if ethics issues are involved. Saturn is in Scorpio as well and trining your modern sign ruler, Pisces, which you probably realize is in your sign and thus in dignity. You have probably noticed an increase in your intuition and imagination which may even have you slightly off balance as you find yourself afloat in all that dreamy energy. Saturn can help you stabilize again and integrate it into your belief system. Seeing the world in a different light and determining your place in it is highly favored. These two planets, though extremely diverse, can work together to manifest your dreams or solidify your philosophy of life. So if you're feeling a bit destabilized use this energy to get back on solid ground, even though it's perfectly okay to still be standing on the beach and looking out to sea. Mars and Uranus are in trine as well, but this one bears closer scrutiny. A trine between planets that can't always be trusted may only mean that their energy is blending together well and not necessarily indicate a favorable result. Uranus can bring surprises, unexpected events and disruptions which are likely to affect your possessions, finances, income, needs or comforts. You may experience major changes that come suddenly in this part of your life which can go in either direction. Remember that ongoing square with Pluto in your house of goals. Mars is in Sagittarius, another Mutable sign, and your 10th house of career, reputation, public image and status. This is good energy for moving forward and taking action on something in this part of your life. The trine to Uranus in the 2nd may even indicate a sudden windfall is on the way. Use this energy in a proactive manner for best results. If you ignore it, then it could conceivably turn against you in the form of an attack on your reputation or career with less positive results on your bank account. Vision and a positive attitude should be able to bring something good your way. The Full Moon on October 29 is in Taurus, your 3rd house of thoughts, ideas, sibling and neighbors. As always a Full Moon typically brings an ending, culmination or shift to a new phase. By this time Venus has moved into Libra, your 8th house of transformations, where she is dignified as its ruler. This has pleasant implications in itself and could be beneficially financially given the 8th is also the house of other people's money. Mercury and Venus are sextile with Mercury in Sagittarius, your 10th house of career and status as noted above. Those of you born around February 19 - 20 are most likely to see something from this, especially with Neptune conjunct your natal Sun and squaring Mercury. The caution here is confusion, delusion, or not thinking clearly which can happen with Neptune and Mercury square each other. Venus and Neptune are quincunx, an aspect which indicates a change of direction or adjustment which will be of a transformational nature. Use your intuition but make sure it's backed up by facts. Jupiter and Mars are in opposition with Jupiter still retrograde. If your birthday is around March 6 they form a T-square with your natal Sun and will have more impact. This could indicate the need to formulate a solid set of beliefs with regard to a new endeavor. Remember that Mars in your 10th house of career, public image and status can be a mixed blessing. It's lots of energy which you need to utilize and use to assure it doesn't use you since it can also indicate an attack. This is not the time to be passive or it could turn against you. Some sort of balance needs to be achieved between your 4th and 10th house so give the various possibilities your close scrutiny and consideration for what this means in your life to assure a positive outcome. The Sun in Scorpio, your 9th house of beliefs and expectations, is quincunx Uranus in your 2nd house of income and possessions, indicating the potential for a change of direction based on your beliefs.
