This month the New Moon on December 2 is in fellow Fire Sign, Sagittarius, your 9th house of beliefs, expectations, higher learning, long-distance travel, legal and ethical matters, religion, politics, and relocation and will trine your natal Sun if your birthday is right around April 1. If your birthday is a few days before that you may have found your life full of surprises, disruptions and disturbances lately has Uranus makes a retrograde pass over your natal Sun. I've had Uranus messing with my Moon for quite a while now so I sympathize with what can be a rather annoying transit that can often have an unfortunate influence on things like your bloodpressure. Nonetheless, Uranus has a positive side as well which relates to breakthroughs, innovation, freedom and sudden change and the New Moon trines him, suggesting a positive change related to your 9th house. This could be an excellent time to take a trip abroad or pursue a new course of study.

Uranus is stills squaring Pluto, however, which has certainly intensified the effects. Pluto is in your 10th house of career, reputation, public image and status and squaring your Sun if your birthday is around April 1, so you folks are getting a lot of energy thrown your way. Pluto is all about transformation, letting go of the past and getting rid of things you no longer need. If you're not happy with your current job or career path this can definitely help or even push you toward doing something about it. There's a minor aspect known as a semisextile connecting the New Moon with Pluto which suggests an opportunity that will take quite a bit of effort on your part to achieve. It could be a nudge to go back to school or do something related to your career that you need to pay attention to.

Scorpio, your 8th house of transformations, is occupied by Mercury and Saturn as well as the Lunar North Node, all of which bring some energy to that part of your life. Also included in that house are sex, death and rebirth, shared resources, debt and intense experiences. Your sign ruler, Mars, is in Virgo, your house of work, health, service and pets, and sextile Mercury which suggests information that could take you in a new direction related to one of those areas. Saturn, planet that rules structure, responsibility and ambition, is also in transformation mode and being trined by Jupiter in Cancer, your 4th house of home environment, cultural roots, memories, endings and new beginnings. Jupiter retrograde tends to encourage introspection on philosophical issues which in this case will probably relate to your 4th house with the connection with Saturn suggesting that some positive changes need to be made. There could be a few complications, however. Venus is also in your 10th house of career which is a good thing as far as presenting yourself, being favorably received, and being viewed publicly in a positive manner. The opposition with Jupiter implies that this will have to be balanced with those issues at home. For example, perhaps a new and exciting career opportunity will present itself which will also involved travel so you need to make some changes to cover the homefront while you're gone. Both Venus and Jupiter are generally benefic planets so this shouldn't be too difficult, especially with trines from Venus to Mars and Jupiter to Saturn. In other words, there's help out there to balance things out.

The Full Moon on December 17 is in Gemini, your 3rd house of thoughts, ideas, siblings, neighbors and local travel. As always, a Full Moon usually brings an ending, culmination or shift to a new phase which will have some bearing on this part of your life. Your sign ruler, Mars, is slightly less friendly at this point as he applies to an opposition with Uranus in your sign as noted earlier. Furthermore, Mars is in Libra, sign of his debility, where his propensity to take action is often inhibited by the need for consensus. This aspect could easily relate to someone in your life impinging on your independence, perhaps due to being too unrealistic. Family issues continue to seek new definition and organization which will be most easily achieved through changing your current thoughts to a more philosophical approach. You're still looking good careerwise so pursuing any connections there is worth consideration.

About eight hours after the Full Moon Uranus stations direct. If your birthday is right around March 29 this will occur conjunct your natal Sun which may give you the feeling you've got your hand stuck in a light socket. Expect to be a bit nervous, irritable and probably not too nice to be around, perhaps without even having a clue why. Uranus has been giving you some trouble on and off for most of the year but the good news is this will probably the coup de grace and things should start to calm down by the end of February if not sooner. Uranus has been messing with me, too, so I understand and look forward to him moving on for good as much as you do. However, one thing you may have experienced of a positive nature was an increased sense of innovation and discovering your unique self with a new sense of appreciation. Over the next few months you should be able to get comfortable with what you're discovered and have a greater sense of freedom expressing the true you.

Venus stations retrograde on December 21 and will do so squaring your natal Sun if your birthday is right around April 18. There's a somewhat loose T-square that also implies dealing with some old relationships issues, perhaps unexpectedly or it may simply involve breaking free from them once and for all. Restructuring those family issues in what is likely to be a transformational way is still favored but some interference from the your ego may surface. Venus herself is unaspected, giving her free rein to do as she pleases independently. She is in your 10th house which includes your career, reputation, public image and status. Remember that "status" is broad and pervasive and includes virtually anything in the public record, what may appear in the newspaper or even Facebook. For example, the "status" of relationships can show up here, even if it's not as dramatic as marriage or divorce. Venus retrograde is the goddess of war as opposed to the goddess of love with implications of her going after what she wants in an aggressive manner as opposed to trying to attract it. As ruler of your 2nd house which includes comforts and needs along with income and also ruler of your 7th of relationships, pay attention to how this operates. For clues think about what was going on in your life back in December 2005/January 2006. Anything resolved from that timeframe when she last went retrograde in this neighborhood is likely to reappear. Bon chance.
