This won't necessarily be easy but possibly required in order to pursue meaningful change. If your birthday is right around March 8 Saturn is trining your natal Sun from Scorpio, your 9th house of beliefs, expectations, philosophy of life, politics, religion, higher learning, other cultures, long-distance travel and relocation. Jupiter, retrograde in Cancer, is trining Saturn from your 5th house of ego definition, creativity, children, romance, entertainment and speculation, tying these two areas together in a positive way. The implications are that you can get to know yourself better during this time as you examine who and what you are along with how it's expressed through your view of the world. Jupiter retrograde internalizes his expansive energy, making it more philosophical, which will aid greatly in this process while Saturn will restructure it into a new attitude and approach.

Venus is opposing Jupiter from our 11th house of friends, organizations, networking, goals, hopes and wishes which suggests a need for balance between this part of your life and the "new you." Consider how your friends and previous goals shaped your life so far and sort through the favorable and not-so-favorable effects to extract any relevant lessons, which Jupiter will help you understand and apply. The trine from Venus to Mars in Virgo, your 7th house of close relationships, implies that this is a positive time to pursue new relationships through this networking process. Raising your sights to the person you want to be is greatly assisted by associating with people who exemplify where you want to be. Not only can they provide useful information to show you the path to success but associating with those with a positive attitude is contagious. Use this New Moon to initiate positive changes related to your status which will have far-reaching effects.

The Full Moon on December 17 is in Gemini, your 4th house of home environment, memories, cultural roots, endings and new beginnings. A Full Moon typically indicates an ending, culmination or shift to a new phase, which fits in nicely with what the New Moon is telling you, that it's time to go in a new direction. If your birthday is right around March 16 the Sun/Moon system forms a T-square with your natal Sun, providing an additional push, even though it may not feel particularly helpful and appear more like a challenge. Bear in mind that unless you're entirely satisfied with the current state of your life that change is the only way to improve it. It may not be easy but it will be worth it. Balance between home and career or your current status and steps toward change will be part of the challenge. Think of yourself as walking a tightrope with a balance bar to keep you steady and focused. Mars is now in Libra, your 8th house of transformations, intense experiences, sex, death and rebirth, debt, shared resources and things you suppress. A caution flag always come with Mars in the 8th since this can be a time when you're predisposed to accidents, so don't take any unnecessary chances over the next few months. However, this energy is also favorable for giving you an extra push toward those needed changes for which you can draw inspiration from your modern sign ruler, Neptune. Be wary of overspending during this time and maintain financial reserves as much as possible because an unexpected expense may arise, such as major car or home repairs.

Jupiter and Saturn continue to work together helping you reinvent yourself. News or information related to your status will continue to help you with this quest but don't expect the path to be easy. Changing direction, even slightly, involves a period of instability which requires faith and confidence to pursue and may wane from time to time.
