The New Moon this month on December 2 is in your sign, Sagittarius, and will be on your natal Sun if your birthday is within a day or so of that date. The lunation is trining Uranus in fellow Fire Sign, Aries, your 5th house ego definition, creativity, children, romance, entertainment and speculation. This bodes nicely for some surprises in this part of your life, an opportunity to make important changes and starting a new endeavor. You may have a few obstacles in the way, however, perhaps related to finances where you may not think you can afford to pursue the desired path. This is when you need to harness your inborn optimism to recognize that it may not be easy but it will be worth it. Letting go of something you may have been hanging onto from your past, which could even include your lifestyle, may be the first step in pursuing something of much greater value.

Venus, ruler of your 6th house of work, health, service, pets and daily activities, is in your 2nd house of finances, possessions, needs, comforts and pleasures, which should have a favorable effect for attracting something in this part of your life. At least until she goes retrograde on the 21st, which I'll get to later. She's trining Mars in Virgo, your 10th house of career, reputation, public image and status which suggests she will help you pursue something in that part of your life that will have favorable implications for your 2nd, such as a promotion that comes with a raise. Tune into your inspiration, assisted by Mercury in your 12th house of dreams, visions, spirituality, your subconscious, the collective consciousness, enlightenment, institutions, confinement, seclusion, hidden enemies and self-undoing, which can guide you regarding the action you should take at this time. Saturn is also in your 12th, implying additional discipline and responsibility at the subconscious level which may relate to money and your thoughts toward it. Venus is separating from an opposition to Jupiter, your sign ruler, who's transiting your 8th house of transformations, intense experiences, sex, death and rebirth, shared resources, debt, and things you suppress. Jupiter in this venue, especially retrograde, implies ruminations regarding your attitude and philosophy of life that can have important ramifications. The opposition with Venus suggests the need for balance in this area. If you've been a bit of a spendthrift and have more debt than you can comfortably manage because you're trying to live a champagne lifestyle on a beer budget then all these aspects are trying to get your attention for a reason. Much of this type of behavior does derive from the subconscious level and Jupiter and Saturn can work together at this time to help in that area.

The Full Moon on December 17 is in your polar sign, Gemini, your 7th house of relationships including your significant other, business partners, professional with whom you interact on a one-on-one basis, competitors and open enemies. A Full Moon typically indicates an ending, culmination or shift to a new phase and will have the most impact if this occurs on your birthday. If this is the case then you may have this aspect for the entire year in your solar return, also indicating you're at the doors to a time of change and transition. Mercury is in your sign and parked on your natal Sun if your birthday is right around December 10. Mercury is quincunx Jupiter which can help you find the way along that path of change with the information coming from someone close to you and can be powerful enough to also work at some important changes at the subconscious level. Inspiration for change is also coming your way from Mars in your 11th house of goals, friends, organizations, networking, hopes and wishes who is quincunx Neptune in your house of new beginnings. None of this looks like a cake walk but it does look as if it's the direction the Universe has in mind.

About eight hours after the Full Moon Uranus stations direct in fellow Fire Sign, Aries, your 5th house of ego definition, creativity, children, romance, entertainment and speculation which could bring a brilliant flash in your head like the proverbial light bulb. This will be strongest for those of you born right around December 1. This could feel like a figurative electrical shock at the core of your being which will need to be balanced with your newly defined goals which will not be achieved immediately. Changes of direction are all over the place and each of them will involve a certain amount of inertia as you attempt to change your direction on the sea of life.

December 21 brings some significant events as well as the Sun leaves your sign for Capricorn, marking the winter solstice in the Northern Hemisphere and summer solstice in the Southern. Not only do the seasons change at this time but the theme for the upcoming quarter is also established by this ingress chart which can be used to predict weather as well as the general tone of world events in the months to come. It has a less-than-friendly T-square which further reinforces the situation noted earlier which will continue as a time of transition and transformation was you examine and let go of certain parts of your belief system. There's quite a bit going on for you at this time, which coincides with your solar return and will be reflected in the coming year as well.
