This month the New Moon on December 2 is in Sagittarius, your 8th house of transformations, sex, death and rebirth, intense experiences, things your suppress, debt and shared resources.  If your birthday is right around May 1st this lunation will quincunx your natal Sun, suggesting an adjustment or change of direction.  Any change implies a period of instability which is often uncomfortable, especially for a Fixed Sign.  Unless everything in your life is entirely satisfactory and even beyond that to enchanting, then change can be a good thing because your situation can't improve without it.  The trine from the New Moon to Uranus in Aries, your 12th house of spirituality, enlightenment, dreams, visions, your subconscious, the collective consciousness, institutions, seclusion, confinement, hidden enemies and self-undoing implies a breakthrough in this area may be what the lunation brings.  Pluto has been hanging out in your 9th house of beliefs, expectations, higher learning, religion, politics, other cultures, long-distance travel, legal matters and relocation and will be for quite a while to come.  During that time he is likely to cause you to make considerable changes to your philosophy of life and attitude.  Something along those lines could occur at this time, perhaps as something emerges from your subconscious that clashes with an existing belief.

Your sign ruler, Venus, is in Capricorn downstream from Pluto and opposing Jupiter who's retrograde in Cancer, your 3rd house of thoughts, ideas, siblings, neighbors, and local travel.  Jupiter rules your 8th of transformations which adds more energy to the New Moon.  He is currently retrograde which internalizes his energy and makes him more philosophical.  This suggests that your thought process may wander beyond its usual bounds and clash with some of your beliefs or at least require balancing them out.  This can have a favorable effect on your ego definition or possibly on a creative endeavor, a romantic interest, speculative matter or even entertainment.  This could be as simple as going to a concert or party and changing your mind about the performers or one of the guests. 

Saturn is transiting your 7th house of close relationships which includes your significant other, business partners, business professionals with whom you interact on a one-on-one basis, competitors and open enemies.  He is currently opposing your natal Sun if your birthday is right around May 8.  This is often a somewhat grueling and difficult transit which will involve your relationships, assuming responsibility and dealing with others but Jupiter's trine to Saturn for this lunation can help you understand and see things differently, even if they clash somewhat with existing beliefs.

The Full Moon on December 17 is in nextdoor neighboring sign, Gemini, your 2nd house of income, possessions, finances, needs, comforts and pleasures and whatever you value.  A Full Moon typically brings an ending, culmination or shift to a new phase so look for something in that part of your life to fit that description.  This could have a transformational effect with the Sun highlighting your 8th plus Mercury is there as well.  Mercury rules your 2nd house of income and such as well as your 5th house of ego definition, children, creativity, romance, speculation and entertainment.  It's possible this could put the brakes on something you wanted to do and could cause an adjustment or change of course that further relates to your thoughts and attitude.  Coming to a deeper understanding of someone close to you is also possible.  Mars is in your 6th house of work, health, service, and pets which can bring a lot of activity there, especially with that opposition to Uranus.  Approximately eight hours after the Full Moon Uranus stations direct which could be when this work issue comes out.  Watch your back for flaming arrows out of the blue and realize that you cannot control everything, as much as you may want to.  Calling upon your Taurean patience may be the best way to get through it, whatever it happens to be.  Your goals may need to be changed as a result or perhaps you weren't realistic in the first place.  There is some chance of health issues so if you're having any at this time these transits probably play some part in it.  If you're having physical problems it's always best to consult a medical professional.  If you happen to travel abroad at this time be sure to bolster your immune system and do everything you can to assure you stay healthy.

On December 21 there are two significant astrological events.  The first is the Capricorn ingress which marks the winter solstice in the Northern Hemisphere and summer solstice in the Southern.  Besides marking a new season, the astrological energy present in the ingress chart also relates to the weather and other mundane events for the coming three months.  Relationship issues are likely to continue and you should give plenty of thought and consideration to the people in your life, your thoughts toward them as well as your expectations.  As they say, it "takes two" so if there are any problems lurking out there this is a favorable time to confront them.  Shortly after the Sun enters Capricorn Venus, your sign ruler, stations retrograde.  She is still in your 9th house of beliefs and expectations so this, along with Jupiter retrograde, brings about a lot of energy related to your attitude and opinions.  When Venus goes retrograde she becomes the goddess of war rather than the goddess of love and thus goes after what she wants, sometimes with a vengeance, rather than trying to attract it in a peaceful manner.  More information on Venus retrograde can be found here.  You might also think back to December 2005/January 2006 and what was going on at that time in your life.  If it has not yet been resolved then it is likely to reappear at this time and allow you to take care of business.  Otherwise it is likely to be of a similar theme.  Take some time to ponder what is going on around you and what the message may be which is likely to relate to your 9th house one way or another.
