Aquarius Horoscope

This month the New Moon is also a solar eclipse which will be visible in a path that extends across the Mid to South Atlantic and across the middle of Africa. It's an annular eclipse, i.e. one in which the Moon is too far away to entirely cover the Sun, thus leaving a ring of it visible. This one is a member of the 16 North family of the Saros Series and according to astrologer and eclipse guru, Bernadette Brady, its influence is largely that of inspiration. It occurs in fellow Fixed Sign, Scorpio, your 10th house of career, reputation, public image and status. Note that "status" covers a whole bunch of territory and includes just about anything you might post to Facebook, appear in the newspaper or be part of the public record. Other planets in Scorpio contributing to its energy include Saturn, who can assist with restructuring or the discipline required to do so, the North Lunar Node which suggests something new coming into this part of your life, and Mercury, who happens to be retrograde and thus implies rethinking, reconsidering or redoing something related to this part of your life. Remember that eclipses are stronger than the usual garden variety lunation and their influence tends to hang around much longer, sometimes for months, and in some cases their influence actually appears before the eclipse occurs. If your birthday is right around January 30 - 31 the eclipse squares your natal Sun which will give it a stronger influence and probably bring a bit of a challenge with it. There are also several planets in similar degree that will also aspect your Sun so there will be a rather large influx of energy.

The eclipse which constitutes both the Sun and Moon is sextile Mars in Virgo, your 8th house of transformation, death and rebirth, sex, debt, shared resources, things you suppress and intense experiences that tend to change you in some way. Mars is accidentally dignified in this house but also comes with a few caution flags. Mars transiting this house can predispose you to accidents or other problems so be careful around fire and knives and don't take unnecessary chances. This sextile forms the base of a yod, a.k.a. "finger of God," with your modern sign ruler, Uranus, at the eye, over in Aries, your 3rd house of thoughts, ideas, siblings, neighbors and local travel. This configuration has a variety of possibilities which can be derived by doing the "mix and match" routine on everything included in each of the houses involved, i.e. 3rd, 8th and 10th, as well as the energy of the planets involved. (Yes, astrologers refer to the Sun and Moon as planets for simplicity but we definitely know that in a scientific sense they are not.) One possibility is having a thought or idea that is a major breakthrough which transforms your career. This could also involve a sibling or neighbor and involve your "status" as opposed to career. Take a few moments to think about what your "status" is and what those possibilities might entail. Just make sure you keep an eye on the 8th house Mars and use the energy appropriately. Another possibility could be eliminating debt in some way, perhaps through a brainstorm or even a debt consolidation loan.

Mercury retrograde is sextile Pluto in your 12th house of dreams, visions, inspiration, enlightenment, spirituality, your subconscious mind, collection consciousness, confinement, seclusion, institutions, hidden enemies and self-undoing which provides an opportunity to reconsider matters in that part of your life. Pluto provides power and control as well as helping to eliminate things you no longer need, such as self-defeating behaviors. The square between Pluto and Uranus implies, however, that you may have to overcome something of that nature before moving forward on that transformational idea noted earlier. Thus if you have an awesome idea but hesitate to pursue it you should take a very close look at why. Mercury stations direction on November 10 and does so in partile (same degree) trine with Neptune which introduces a lot of inspirational energy to the event. Pay close attention if your birthday is right around January 23.

Neptune stations direct November 13 in your 2nd house of income, possessions, finances, needs, comforts, pleasures and what you value, including your physical body. This could be a time when inspiration opens up for this part of your life so be open to it, especially given that inspiration is a major theme of this eclipse. Jupiter stations retrograde on November 7 in Cancer, your 6th house of work, health, service and pets. Jupiter RX typically brings out issues related to ethics or other philosophical considerations. He rules your 11th house of friends, groups, organizations, networking, hopes, wishes and goals so they will probably be involved as well. If your birthday is right around February 9 this is likely to have a stronger effect.

The Full Moon on November 17 is in fellow Fixed Sign, Taurus, your 4th house of home environment, memories, cultural roots, endings and new beginnings. Watch for an ending, culmination or shift to a new phase around that time. If your birthday is right around February 14 you will have the strongest influence from this lunation and may have to deal with balancing some home and career or status issues. Assuming more responsibility is a possibility which could also involve your job. Taking action on an opportunity is encouraged so don't be shy about stepping up to a challenge that presents itself. Your ideas could bring financial benefits at this time as well as elevate your value in a career sense or with regard to your status in general. Venus is in your 12th house which can have a favorable effect on developing a vision for where you want to go. Again any hang-ups or baggage lurking in your subconscious could be a hindrance, so be sure to take a close look at the real reason you may back away from any ideas or opportunities that come along. Mars in the 8th can be very helpful for taking action to transform some part of yourself that has kept you from progressing. While this month may bring some challenges, their outcome can be very beneficial so pay close attention to what is going on and what action would be best for taking you where you want to go.
