This month the New Moon on November 3 is also an annular solar eclipse which will be visible in a narrow band that crosses the Atlantic Ocean as well as Central Africa. An annular eclipse occurs when the Moon is too far distant to be of sufficient size to entirely occlude the Sun, leaving a ring of it visible around the edges and precluding totality. This one is a member of the 16 North family of the Saros Series and according to astrologer and eclipse guru, Bernadette Brady, this one has a generally friendly and inspiration energy which is certainly good news. Remember that eclipses carry a much bigger wallop compared to the usual garden variety lunation with its effects possible to manifest anytime before it happens until several months afterward. Since your sign ruler is the Moon you are probably influenced even more than others when these occur. This one occurs in fellow Water Sign, Scorpio, your 5th house of creativity, children, romance, ego definition, self-expression, entertainment and speculation. This house is sometimes called the "fun house" since it generally contains pleasant parts of your life which bodes nicely for this eclipse, especially considering that Saturn, the North Lunar Node and Mercury are also in Scorpio, contributing to its character and influence.

Saturn rules your 7th house of relationships and is the traditional ruler of your 8th house of transformations, so there may be influences from these parts of your life as well. This suggests that you will have the support of those close to you in whatever this may bring. Mercury is also retrograde, a time to rethink, reconsider, rework, re-plan and so forth suggesting going back to the drawing board on something in this part of your life whether it's a romance or creative project. The Sun/Moon eclipse system is sextile Mars in Virgo, your 3rd house of thoughts, ideas, siblings, neighbors and local travel, indicating a possible opportunity hailing from there, perhaps resulting in a creative idea. This sextile form the base of a yod, a.k.a. "finger of God," with Uranus at the eye in fellow Cardinal Sign, Aries, your 10th house of career, reputation, public image and status. The simplest interpretation of this configuration could be taking action on a creative idea bring about a sudden change with a fated flavor with regard to your status or career.

Jupiter, ruler of your 6th house of work and health and traditional ruler of fellow Water Sign, Pisces, your 9th house of beliefs, expectations, legal matters, higher learning, religion, politics, other cultures, long-distance travel and relocation, is in your sign which could be stirring things up in these areas as well. If your birthday is right around July 13 then Jupiter stations retrograde on your natal Sun, which is likely to have an important impact as well. Cancer is the sign of Jupiter's exaltation, meaning he functions very well in your sign. When he goes retrograde, which occurs on November 7, his energy usually points to philosophical or ethical issues but in your 1st house could also simply relate to matters concerning personal expansion. Jupiter is usually a benefic planet that brings a fair share of luck and good fortune, so his placement in your sign should be a good thing.

Mercury stations direct on November 10 and does so in partile (same degree) trine with Neptune in fellow water sign Pisces. If your birthday is right around June 24 this will form a Grand Water Trine with your natal Sun which will bring you even more inspiration than others. Nonetheless, this is excellent for taking the information gathered from rethinking or reconsidering something and combining it with inspiration. A few days later on November 13 Neptune also stations direct in that degree, which is likely to be when that inspiration starts to surface in your conscious mind. At that same time Jupiter trines the Sun, another good aspect for recognizing something important related to your 5th house of creativity and so forth.

By this time Venus is in your house of relationships which is a favorable influence for that part of your life. Changes related to your career or status, however, may not be accepted easily by someone close to you. You may find that you have to take a stand and assert your will, depending on the situation. Those of you born July 1 already have Pluto opposing your natal Sun which is likely to bring a variety of power struggle with those close to you which could ultimately find you having to leave them behind. This transit often relates to asserting yourself and no longer allowing others or possibly one person in particularly from exerting too much control over your life. On the other hand, be aware that you may be trying to control others yourself, which will ultimately bring an interesting lesson your way as well.

The Full Moon on November 17 is in Taurus, your 11th house of friends, groups, organizations, hopes, wishes, goals and networking. If your birthday is right around July 18 watch for an opportunity to come your way through a friend or associate or perhaps one that simply relates to one of your goals. Mars in your 3rd house of thoughts, ideas, siblings, neighbors and local travel is sextile Jupiter which has the potential to bring some expansive ideas your way or perhaps an increase in activity with a sibling or neighbor. Remember that the effects of the eclipse may still be in the process of manifesting and all of this is going to tie together somehow sooner or later. Saturn will be in your 5th house for another year which brings responsibility and structure to this part of your life whether it relates to taking personal responsibility generally, to your children or romantic interests or perhaps bringing form and organization to your creative endeavors. This influence will be ongoing and is likely to receive more emphasis next month when the trine with Jupiter is again exact. Meanwhile be open to inspiration and the emphasis on your 5th house so you receive whatever message the Universe has for you at this time.
