The New Moon on November 3 is also an annular solar eclipse which will be visible across a band that crosses the Atlantic Ocean and the middle part of Africa. Annular eclipses occur when the Moon is too far away to occlude the entire Sun, leaving a ring visible around the edges that precludes totality. This one is a member of the 16 North family of the Saros Series and according to astrologer and eclipse guru, Bernadette Brady, carries a rather friendly inspirational energy. That is certainly good news compared to the gloom and doom some of these events carry. It occurs in Scorpio, your 11th house of friends, groups, organizations, goals, hopes, wishes and networking where Saturn, your sign ruler, is also placed which can help with additional organization, structure and discipline. The North Lunar Node is there as well, implying that something new could come into your life and also Mercury, who happens to be retrograde, encouraging rethinking, reconsidering, re-planning or re-something in this part of your life.

Most of us don't get everything right the first time and thus these regular Mercury RX spells can help us learn, regroup, and ultimately progress in a more efficient manner. Bear in mind that starting a new endeavor when Mercury is doing the backstroke usually doesn't bode well for its ultimate success. However, going back to the drawing board and making sure you have all your ducks in the proverbial row is favored. Mercury stations direction on November 10 so waiting until at least then is advisable and if possible after November 28 when he is out of the shadow period as well, which is when true progress can be made. If your birthday is right around January 1 this eclipse will have a stronger influence since the eclipse and several planets are in degrees similar to your natal Sun, providing a strong influx of energy.

The Sun and Moon which comprise the eclipse are in partile (same degree) sextile with Mars in fellow Earth Sign, Virgo, your 9th house of beliefs, expectations, philosophy of life, legal matters, religion, politics, other cultures, higher education, long-distance travel and relocation. This suggests an opportunity to modify your belief system in some way as the result of new friends or goals or vice versa. Mars is the traditional ruler of Scorpio and thus your 11th house, strengthening that connection. This sextile forms the base of a yod, a.k.a. "finger of God," with Uranus in fellow Cardinal Sign, Aries, at the eye. Aries is your 4th house of home environment, memories, cultural roots, endings and new beginnings while Uranus rules such things as breakthroughs, innovation, originality, freedom and surprises. Thus, setting forth on a new path is favored, or at least preparing for such an endeavor considering Mercury, as noted earlier.

Pluto is still in your 1st house and on your natal Sun if your birthday is right around December 31. If that's you then you have probably already noticed this could be a difficult transit which will transform you in some way. It has been said that while it's extremely rare to die during a Pluto transit there are times that you may want to. Nonetheless, when you get on the other side of it you are typically better off. Kicking and screaming in resistance will only make it worse. The square between Pluto and Uranus could indicate you need to let something go in order to pursue that new goal. Self-defeating behaviors lurk in your subconscious which is included in the 12th house, ruled by Jupiter, so let's see what he's up to that might help. He goes retrograde on November 7 in Cancer, your 7th house of close relationships including your significant other, business partners, business professionals, competitors and open enemies. Jupiter RX internalizes his energy and often expresses as ethics or philosophical issues. He opposes your natal Sun if your birthday is right around January 11, giving you an extra boost in this area. This suggests that perhaps someone close to you may be able to help you identify how you sabotage yourself from achieving what you want.

Neptune stations direct on November 13 in your 3rd house of thoughts, ideas, siblings, neighbors and local travel which can bring inspiration fueled by an infusion of information from Mercury stationing direct on November 10 in the same degree forming a partile trine between them. This further supports the inspirational theme of the eclipse. Those of you born right around December 24 will be most susceptible to this aspect so tune in during those days for any incoming ideas or information, better yet, actively seek it if you know what you're looking for.

The Full Moon on November 17 is in fellow Earth Sign, Taurus, your 5th house of creativity, children, romance, ego definition, entertainment and speculation. Watch for an ending, culmination or shift to a new phase of something in this part of your life. If your birthday is right around January 16 the influence will be the strongest. By this time Venus has moved into your 1st house and is conjunct your natal Sun if your birthday is right around January 2. This is an excellent influence for presenting yourself as you are likely to be received in a very favorable manner. Taking action on your beliefs is favored and may involve a partnership or someone close to you in a personal or professional sense.

The cluster comprising the Sun, Saturn, North Node and Mercury are still in your 11th house of goals and groups so use this energy to scrutinize them carefully. Your solar return is coming up soon so getting yourself geared up for a new cycle is excellent preparation for the year to come. Group and organizational activity should be examined as well. If you put too much energy and devotion into group projects to the exclusion of your personal goals give that some thought as well, or possibly spend too much time and energy with friends. Organizing and planning is definitely favored with both Saturn and Mercury in that house so make sure you're using this part of your life in the most effective manner. Some networking is required to achieve your goals and being an isolationist won't be effective but as always balance is required along with setting the proper priorities to climb the ladder of success which Cappies tend to pursue to derive the most satisfaction from their life.
