The New Moon on November 3 is also an annular solar eclipse which will be visible across a narrow band that crosses the Atlantic Ocean and the middle of Africa. An annular eclipse occurs when the Moon is too far distant to be of sufficient size to cover the entire solar disk, leaving a ring visible around the edges which precludes totality. This one is a member of the 16 North family of the Saros Series, which according to astrologer and eclipse guru, Bernadette Brady, has a friendly and inspirational influence, something I'm sure you'll welcome. It occurs in Scorpio, your 6th house of work, health, service and pets and will have the strongest influence on those of you born right around June 2. Bear in mind that the influence of eclipses tends to last longer than the usual lunation. Its effects can sometimes be seen before it actually occurs or even months after so you may not see anything immediately.

The Sun/Moon eclipse system is quincunx your natal Sun which suggests a change of course or direction. The eclipse is sextile Mars in fellow Mutable Sign, Virgo, your 4th house of home environment, cultural roots, memories, endings and new beginnings which suggests something new coming with regard to your work or perhaps directing your activity toward your home itself. Health issues are also a possibility. This sextile forms the base of a yod which has Uranus at the eye in Aries, your 11th house of friends, goals, organizations, groups, hopes, wishes and networking. Uranus in that locale can bring numerous upsets and disturbances to that part of your life and also hints at unusual or unconventional people and goals in your life. The yod is also known as a "finger of God" and carries a fated flavor which suggests an important shift is on the way with regard to your work which will set you on a new course.

Also present in Scorpio and lending some additional influence to the eclipse are Saturn, which implies the influence of a mentor or authority figure as well have having the necessary discipline to take on something new. The North Lunar Node is there as well which suggests something new coming into your life and Mercury retrograde is there as well, indicating this situation may come as the result of rethinking or reconsidering something. More on that a bit later. Jupiter is in your 2nd house of income, possessions, finances, needs, comforts, pleasures and what you value. Your physical body is also included as your most fundamental and important possession. Jupiter is in Cancer, sign of his exaltation, where he operates at top efficiency. This is a very favorable placement for increasing prosperity and material benefit. Jupiter rules your 7th house of relationships which includes your significant other, business partners, business professionals, cliental, employees, competitors and open enemies so they may be involved as well. Jupiter is also the traditional ruler of Pisces which represents your 10th house of career, reputation, public image and status. Tying this all together implies that improvements and expansion is possible with your work and career which may also involve a partnership or support from those close to you.

One caveat could involve the ongoing square between Uranus and Pluto which is going to last on and off until early 2015. Pluto is in Capricorn, your 8th house of transformations, death and regeneration, debt, shared resources, sex, intense experiences and things you suppress. Remembering that Uranus in the 11th could be a unique or unconventional goal, this square to Pluto could indicate you need to let go of something in order to pursue it. Pluto is about power and control as well as eliminating things you no longer need. It can also indicate that pursuing this new direction will bring about a transformation which will represent a challenge or there may be something you need to overcome that can hold you back. Venus, ruler of your 12th house of spirituality, enlightenment, subconscious, dreams, visions, the collective consciousness, seclusion, confinement, institutions, hidden enemies and self-undoing, enters your 8th house a few days after the eclipse. This could help you deal with this issue and overcome it. Pay particular attention to any such issues around November 16 when Venus and Pluto are conjunct since this could be a favorable time to identify and address it.

Mercury, your sign ruler, went retrograde in October and stations direct on November 10. He does so in partile (same degree) trine with Neptune who is plodding along in your 10th house of career and status. This is an excellent aspect to receive considerable inspiration regarding anything you've been pondering and reconsidering during the retrograde period. This may not be immediately apparent but should begin to surface within a few days when Neptune stations direct, also, which occurs on November 13. Jupiter stations retrograde on November 7 and is partile trine the Sun when Mercury stations which is also favorable for work matters. While retrograde Jupiter's energy is internalized and it often focuses on ethical or philosophical issues. This may be a time when you are deciding whether the extra work or effort required will be worth any additional income. Or perhaps, money is a different issue, such as an opportunity that comes along that will mean no additional compensation or perhaps even less with delays in receiving payment another possibility, such as a project where you are paid upon its completion. However, life is not all about money and it's likely that the effort will be well-worth it regardless. Taking action on the opportunity is favored and you will have the discipline and ambition required to succeed.

The Full Moon on November 17 is in Taurus, your 12th house of angels and demons as defined earlier. A Full Moon typically denotes an ending, culmination or shift to a new phase which suggests you can overcome anything holding you back. Inspiration is still flowing so be sure to take the time to access it through meditation and quiet contemplation. Opportunities to deal with any income or money issues are there as you move forward and pursue your goal. Working out an arrangement with your boss or management is possible with regard to the money situation. The 2nd house also includes your needs so having to work long hours or with no days off is another possibility but this could also be negotiated. If you need to delay, defer or delete other obligations in order to focus on this new assignment you should be able to accomplish that as well. This looks like an exciting time when you can pursue something that provides the mental stimulation you thrive upon. Obstacles may appear but overcoming them is favored so use this energy to go after something you've wanted for quite some time.
