The New Moon this month on November 3 is also an annular solar eclipse which will be visible across the Mid to South Atlantic and a strip across the middle of Africa. An annular eclipse is one where the Moon is farther away from the Earth and thus does not appear large enough to block out the entire Sun, leaving a ring still visible. According to eclipse guru, Bernadette Brady, this one is a member of the 16 North family in the Saros Series and tends to bring a sense of inspiration or illumination of ideas which you would do well to follow. This eclipse occurs in Scorpio, your 12th house of spirituality, inspiration, enlightenment, confinement, seclusion, subconscious, institutions, hidden enemies and self-undoing which fits nicely with its expected effects. This could be a very inspirational time for accessing ideas or insights from your subconscious. Mercury retrograde in that same house provides the right energy for rethinking, reconsidering and revising spiritual matters including the means for addressing self-defeating behaviors or habits. Mercury is conjunct the North Lunar Node which implies something new coming into your life as a result or perhaps a significant step in your personal evolution. Saturn is there as well, conjunct the lunation, which can assist with restructuring.

The eclipse is quincunx Uranus in fellow Fire Sign, Aries, your 5th house of creativity, children, ego definition, romance, entertainment and speculation. The somewhat unpredictable and unstable aspect typically calls for a change of direction or adjustment. This can contribute nicely to anything exiting your subconscious that relates to a creative project or perhaps a child or romantic interest. Entertainment or speculation could be involved as well. Whatever it is you will probably be taken by surprise and find yourself going in a slightly different direction as a result. Pluto in Capricorn, your 2nd house of income, possessions, finances, values, needs and pleasures which can further assist with eliminating something you no longer need and setting yourself up to improve this part of your life. If your birthday is right around December 20 then Venus is conjunct your natal Sun which is a favorable placement that can help in a variety of way, including enhancing your personality, appearance and ability to present yourself in a favorable manner, making this a favorable time to ask for favors.

Pluto is being trined by Mars who is also in sextile to the eclipse, bringing nearly all of this energy together. Mars is in fellow Mutable Sign, Virgo, your 10th house of career, reputation, public image and status. Mars implies taking action, but a challenge is likely to be involved. If your birthday is between December 1 - 5 this eclipse is likely to affect you more strongly since your natal Sun is in a degree where it is being aspected by these planets. The sextile between Mars and the eclipse forms the base of a yod, a.k.a. Finger of God with Uranus at the eye. This aspect pattern often has a fated nature to it, suggesting that taking action on all this inspired creative energy represents an opportunity you would do well to consider carefully. Your sign ruler, Jupiter, is in Cancer, sign of his exaltation where he operates very effectively, and your 8th house of transformations, intense experiences, sex, death and regeneration and things you suppress. He is unaspected, making him a bit of a rogue, but this can work to your advantage if it allows you to overcome old issues or progress in a significant manner.

Inspiration is emphasized greatly for you at this time due to the house placement of the eclipse, the character of this eclipse family, and placement of the planets, many of which are all working together in a way that could have a major impact on your life. Be sure to find time for quiet contemplation, seek inspiration from you inner guidance system and take advantage of what comes your way at this time. Jupiter stations retrograde on November 7 which will internalize his energy and promote transformation at a philosophical level. If your birthday is right around December 12 this station will quincunx your Sun and further emphasize important changes. Mercury stations direct on November 10 in partile (same degree) trine with Neptune in your 4th house of new beginnings, home environment, memories and cultural roots. Your 12th house of inspiration is still occupied by the Sun, Saturn and Mercury with the Sun trining your sign ruler, Jupiter, in your 8th of transformation, so mark your calendar for this event because it would be an excellent time to ponder what the Universe wants you to learn at this time. The sextile between Mars and Saturn indicates an opportunity to take action on something related to your status by taking steps toward important life changes.

The Full Moon on November 17 is in Taurus, your 6th house of work, health, service, daily activities and pets. Like all Full Moons this suggests an ending, culmination or shift to a new phase of something in this part of your life. This implies sudden and unexpected changes related to your 5th house of creativity and so forth as defined earlier which will be of personal benefit, even if it takes a little bit of a push on your part to make it so.

Overall, this looks like an important and favorable month for you as you get ready for birthday season. As your solar return season rolls around the end of this month and into December you are starting a new cycle and this month looks as if it holds the template for making a few changes before that occurs.
