The New Moon this month on November 3 is also an annular solar eclipse that will be visible in a narrow band that crosses the Atlantic Ocean as well as Central Africa. An annular eclipse occurs when the Moon is too far distant to be of sufficient size to entirely occlude the Sun, leaving a ring of it visible around the edges and precluding totality. This one is a member of the 16 North family of the Saros Series and according to astrologer and eclipse guru, Bernadette Brady, this one has a generally friendly and inspiration energy which is certainly good news. Remember that eclipses carry a much bigger wallop compared to the usual garden variety lunation with its effects possible to manifest before it happens until several months afterward. Since this one is also in your sign and natural 1st house its influence will be personal and especially strong for those of you whose birthday is within a day or so of the eclipse.

The eclipse is accompanied by Saturn, the Lunar North Node and Mercury retrograde who are also in Scorpio. If any of those planets are conjunct your natal Sun that will also increase its influence and includes those of your born around October 31 and November 6 as well. Those of you with the October 31 birthdays have the North Lunar Node and Mercury retrograde sitting on your natal Sun. This suggests that something new is coming into your life that is probably part of something you've been rethinking or reconsidering. The answer to this will probably start to appear about the time Mercury goes direct, but more on that later. The Sun/Moon eclipse system is partile (same degree) sextile your traditional sign ruler, Mars, in Virgo, your 11th house of goals, friends, groups, organizations, hopes, wishes and networking. This suggests an opportunity to take action on something you want to accomplish. This sextile forms the base of a yod, a.k.a. "finger of God," which is completed by Uranus in Aries at the eye which is your 6th house of work, health, service and pets. This suggests that an upset or surprise at work is likely to hold an opportunity for you to pursue something you want. Remember that this may not appear immediately or could have already happened; you never know with eclipses.

Jupiter stations retrograde on November 7 in fellow Water Sign, Cancer, sign of his exaltation where he functions at top efficiency. While retrograde his energy is internalized and it often focuses on ethical or philosophical issues. This is your 9th house which includes higher learning, beliefs and expectations, philosophy of life, religion, politics, other cultures, long-distance travel and relocation. This is the house that Jupiter rules zodiacally and thus he is accidentally dignified there where he is operating in a familiar domain. This station will trine your natal Sun if your birthday is right around November 13 and may have special or increased meaning for you.

Mercury stations direct on November 10 which will have the most impact on those with birthdays right around October 26. This shift in direction occurs with him in partile (same degree) trine with Neptune in fellow Water Sign, Pisces, your 5th house of creativity, children, romance, ego definition, entertainment and speculation and could bring a nice infusion of inspiration from this part of your life. If you've been rethinking something already that relates to this part of your life, you can expect to get an inspired answer soon, possibly a few days later on November 13 when Neptune also stations direct in that same degree. At that time the Sun will form a partile trine with Jupiter in your house of beliefs and such which can clarify something in that part of your life as well, perhaps all tying together in a very harmonious manner. Your traditional ruler, Mars, is sextile Saturn which denotes the potential for an opportunity to pursue one of your goals.

The Full Moon on November 17 is in your polar sign, Taurus, which is your 7th house of close relationships including your significant other, close friends and relatives, business partners, business professionals with whom you interact on a one-on-one basis, competitors and open enemies. A Full Moon usually brings an ending, culmination or shift to a new phase so watch for something along those lines as it relates to someone in your life. Inspiration is still out there but gradually diminishing as the trine between Mercury and Neptune separates. Mars is still encouraging you to move forward with something relates to goals or friends which could relate to your beliefs or if you've been considering a trip perhaps that could also come about, though it may only be the plans at this stage since Jupiter is retrograde and thus implies a bit of a delay. Nonetheless, it could be a favorable time to get the arrangements in place. Going back to school is another possible goal that would be worth pursuing at this time along with anything else that could relate to your 9th house as defined earlier. If this requires discipline or assuming responsibility, that should be available as well once you get a clear view of exactly what you want.

A quick review on the long-term square between Uranus and your modern sign ruler, Pluto, just to remind you that work issues may continue to be unstable for a while to come. Pluto in your 3rd house of thoughts, ideas, siblings, neighbors and local travel expands your ability to hone in on hidden or secret information and should be extremely comfortable for the most part. However, that square with Uranus implies that what you unearth or discover may cause problems in the work place. There is also a possibility for health issues, particularly those related to stress. Jupiter rules your 2nd house which includes your needs, comforts, pleasures and also your physical body and as you recall he's in the sign of his exaltation in your house of beliefs, higher learning and long-distance travel. This provides a hint toward ways you may be able to alleviate stress and take care of yourself if you find your work environment stressful to the point of affecting your health and well-being. Neptune in your 5th might encourage recreational consumption of alcohol or substance abuse which is discouraged because it could predispose you to dependence on escaping in that manner which would ultimately be to your detriment.
