This month the New Moon on November 3 is also an annular eclipse which will be visible in a narrow band that crosses the Atlantic Ocean as well as Central Africa. An annular eclipse occurs when the Moon is too far distant to be of sufficient size to entirely occlude the Sun, leaving a ring of it visible around the edges and precluding totality. This one is a member of the 16 North family of the Saros Series and according to astrologer and eclipse guru, Bernadette Brady, this one has a generally friendly and inspiration energy which is certainly good news. Remember that eclipses carry a much bigger wallop compared to the usual garden variety lunation with its effects possible to manifest before it happens until several months afterward. This one occurs in fellow Fixed Sign, Scorpio, your 7th house of close relationships including your significant other, business partners, business professionals, cliental, close friends and relatives, competitors and open enemies. If your birthday is right around May 2 it will oppose your natal Sun which should be noticeable in some way.

The eclipse is accompanied by Saturn, the Lunar North Node and Mercury retrograde who are also in Scorpio. Saturn suggests discipline, responsibility or an authority figure, the North Node implies the possibility of someone new coming into your life and Mercury retrograde implies the need to rethink or reconsider one or more relationships in your life at this time. Furthermore, the Sun/Moon eclipse system is sextile Mars in fellow Earth Sign, Virgo, your 5th house of ego definition, creativity, self-expression, children, romance, entertainment and speculation. A sextile usually indicates an opportunity which could involve a new romantic interest or perhaps if you have a creative project, someone to help with that. The sextile has another function, however, because it serves as the base for a yod, a.k.a. "finger of God," with Uranus at the eye in your nextdoor neighboring sign, Aries, which also happens to be your 12th house of dreams, visions, enlightenment, spirituality, inspiration, your subconscious, the collective consciousness, seclusion, confinement, institutions, hidden enemies and self-undoing. Uranus lurking in this house behind the scenes will probably stir up a variety of interesting things over the coming years but the immediate focus is on how this might show up.

A yod tends to have a fated flavor to it and often pushes you in an entirely unexpected direction. Uranus is also full of surprises so this combination starts to get even more interesting. Bear in mind that Uranus is the modern ruler of your 10th house of career, reputation, status and public image so this can have an influence as well. When the ruler of a house is hanging out in your 12th it suggests a lot of subconscious activity relative to that part of your life. Uranus rules such things as surprises, freedom, breakthroughs, innovation, rebellion, and anything unconventional. Considering the other planets involved in this aspect pattern, one possibility is a brilliant flash of inspiration that derives from a creative endeavor that involves someone close to you. Another could be sudden insights into a romantic relationship that is destined to expand to the next level. Ponder the houses involved and what they comprise then fit that with your circumstances for a better idea what to expect, all the while bearing in mind that you are likely to be surprised by it regardless.

Mercury stations direct on November 10 and does so in partile (same degree) trine with Neptune in Pisces, your 11th house of friends, groups, organizations, goals, networking, hopes and wishes. This suggests an inspirational thought that could come through either a friend or someone close to you. A few days later Neptune stations direct which may be when you actually recognize it for what it is. At that time Jupiter, which stationed retrograde on November 7, is trined by the Sun, which also has implications for recognizing something important regarding a relationship. Jupiter is in Cancer, sign of his exaltation and your 3rd house of thoughts, ideas, siblings, neighbors and local travel. While retrograde he tends to emphasize issues that relate to ethical or philosophical situations which in turn will relate to someone you know well at this time. However, it could also simply relate to thoughts about expanding an existing relationship which could also tie in with Mercury retrograde's function.

Your sign ruler, Venus, goes into fellow Earth Sign, Capricorn, on November 6. This is your 9th house of beliefs, expectations, religion, politics, higher education, legal matters, other cultures, long-distance travel and relocation. Pluto is also plodding along in this house where his propensity for power and control may be showing up from time to time as well as his ability to eliminate things you no longer need. This is an excellent time for examining your beliefs to see if they still fit what life has taught you. Jupiter is working on your thought process and your beliefs comprise thoughts that stuck. As a Fixed Sign, once you make up your mind it may take a nuclear blast to get it unstuck, but sometimes in order to progress that can become necessary. Venus is your sign ruler and also rules your 6th house of work, health, service and pets. All this suggests that your beliefs or expectations relative to work may need attention.

The Full Moon on November 17 is in your sign and on your natal Sun if your birthday is right around May 16. A Full Moon typically indicates an ending, culmination or shift to a new phase which will be at the personal level with this occurring in your 1st house. Pay attention to your beliefs and whether you're feeling a little uncomfortable or doubtful regarding any of them. This may be the time when you let something go or do some serious revising. Thoughts regarding something in your 5th house whether it's a romance, child, creative project or ego issue could involve another person, perhaps someone older or even a counselor or someone you trust if you're struggling with something in this part of your life. This would actually be a favorable time for such a pursuit if warranted. There's a lot of action this month on the mental and relationship level. Inspiration is out there but may take some concerted effort to run to ground. This is certainly possible but the most difficult part may be heeding the message and incorporating it into your view of the world, something that is usually more easily said than done, especially for a Fixed Sign that tends to cling to the status quo.
