There are two basic themes in effect this month as a result of four of the slower-moving planets being in some significant aspects that will be in effect all month. The planets involved are Pluto, Saturn, Jupiter and Uranus. Pluto and Jupiter are both in Capricorn, your Natural 8th House of transformations; other domains of this house include intimate relationships, shared resources, and death and regeneration. Pluto rules this kind of stuff, so his influence will be particularly strong for Twins, and you've probably already seen some of the effects since he entered Capricorn in late January. Transformation for these purposes refers to deep, personal change, in which you'll figuratively become a different person in a variety of ways, frequently as a result of various experiences that will come your way during this transit. Pluto affects our sense of personal power. In addition, I have knicknamed him the Zodiacal Roto-rooter, based on his ability to dig up old, unresolved issues, clean out the mess, and then allow things to operate in a healthy manner again. This can also be compared to lancing a boil or having a diseased organ removed, after which proper healing can take place. Jupiter, which is a benefic planet who expands what he touches, will make these processes all the more noticeable. This month Saturn is in Virgo trining Pluto. A trine is a harmonious aspect where the energies between the planets flow in an easy manner. Saturn is currently retrograde in your 4th House of home environment. Saturn is all about boundaries, restrictions, responsibilities, obligations, and authority, to name a few. When he's retrograde, he tends to gather up issues that need to be resolved and delivers them to your subconscious for processing. Thus, you may not even be aware that there's anything going on until after he returns to direct motion. At that time, which will be May 3rd, you'll probably figure out what it is, and by the time Saturn returns to the position he was in when he went retrograde, which will be right around the very cool date of 8/08/08, it should be resolved. With this action going on in your 4th House, it will probably have something to do with your home, which includes your physical abode as well as the people in it. Since he's in picky, hardworking Virgo, this could have to do with maintaining your home and family relationships. If you've been inspired lately to clean out some closets, the attic, or garage, or just generally clean things up and put them in order (which is usually quite a chore for Gemini's, since their multiplicity of interests inclines them toward accumulating all sorts of things), this is where that nagging is coming from. While Saturn is trining Pluto, this will add a further dimension to all this, to really get to the root of things. For example, if your house needs painting, you'll probably also wind up replacing various fascia boards that have been rotting away from the inside out that you never noticed until you got up close enough to really examine them. You'll have a strong commitment to doing things correctly, after which you'll have a much better situation than you started out with. Take this analogy to some of your family relationships as well. If there's something that's been swept under the rug for too long, those lumps of dirt are going to start causing people to trip until you clean them out properly, if you get what I mean. So the combination of Pluto and Saturn can be a very positive thing, which will motivate you to take care of business in a thorough and complete manner. Approximately between April 6 - 10, Venus will get into the act by squaring Pluto and creating a quincunx to Saturn. This could generate some discomfort relative to that family-related stuff, either via a crisis related to one of your group associations or perhaps a conflict related to your hopes and wishes. The good news is that the last two days of April she'll move into a trine position with these two planets, which will actually create a nice Grand Trine. This will generate a nice flow of energy between these venues that should deliver a happy ending of some sort. The other month-long aspect will be quite complementary to the Saturn-Pluto effects. This one involves Jupiter and Uranus, which will be in sextile. A sextile usually brings along an opportunity of some sort, and with these two planets it's likely to be a big opportunity for change, which of course ties in quite nicely with the clean-up activities already in progress. This implies some energy to change the way you do things in a significant way, learn an important lesson or two, and integrate it into the way you operate. Mars gets into the action, particularly during the last half of the month, when he connects with both Jupiter and Uranus. Mars in hanging out in Cancer, your 2nd House of possessions, finances, and pleasures. While he's opposing Jupiter, which will be in effect from April 15 - May 4, he could cause a problem or two that has a financial impact. Something may break down, or a need may arise of a significant nature that could even require financing. Between April 15 - 30, he'll be trining Uranus, which will throw some extra energy toward all those changes going on, though in his case they usually come about unexpectedly, bring a surprise or two, or even cause a disruption. Uranus is currently in your 10th House of career and reputation, so you can expect something to come up in that venue during the latter half of the month. This will probably be entirely unrelated to all that home environment stuff, but not necessarily. If you've been thinking about changing careers, this would be a good time to do so, or it would also be a favorable time to ask for a raise. There's a lot of assertion in the money department going on, which will make you quite direct in your actions, but make sure you don't come on as too aggressive. The Full Moon, which occurs on April 20, could bring closure to something related to your 6th House of work, and could easily relate to this activity as well. There will also be some new action going on in your 11th House of groups, organizations, friends, hopes & wishes this month as Mercury, Venus and the Sun make their way through Aries, especially with the New Moon occurring there on April 5th. Aries, which is ruled by Mars, is also energetic, direct, assertive, and sometimes aggressive. Mercury influences our thoughts and communications, so you may have to watch how you communicate with others this month as you will probably be perceived as being aggressive, even if you're just trying to gather the facts in your straight-forward, data-loving, Gemini way. This will be especially true between April 8 - 13 when Mars squares Mercury. Arguments will be especially likely at that time, so be sure and take a chill pill and make an effort consciously to choose your words carefully and put your body language in harmony with a friendly information exchange so as not to be taken the wrong way. Mercury moves quite quickly in his orbit and will make a variety of aspects during April which will stimulate your thoughts and ideas as well as your verbal expression (as if you need any help with that) in several areas. Mercury is also your Sign Ruler, so you'll be especially susceptible to these effects. If you see anyone's eyes glazing over or they are physically stepping away from you, then you'll know that your gift of gab has been turbo-charged and it might be best to shut up long enough for the other person to get a word in edge-wise. The good news, which may help temper some of that Mars energy, is the fact that Venus will also spend much of the month in your 11th House, i.e. from April 7 - 30. Venus will help soften those communications, especially between April 7 - 9, so if you have something you need to discuss that's a big touchy or controversial, that would be a good time to do so as you're more likely to be perceived in a favorable way. However, note that between April 20 - 30 Venus will square Mars, which won't bode particularly well for male-female relationships, generally. This could also create a conflict of some sort between your hopes & wishes versus your finances, or perhaps between your group interactions and possessions or finances. I'm sure you'll recognize it when it comes along. This month you should see a lot of action around your home, either physically, materially, emotionally, or all of the above. Something could come along regarding your career, and if you've been thinking of making a change, there should be some opportunities in that area. Involvement with any groups is likely to be quite lively this month with the possibility of something new coming along, and you may also find yourself reassessing your hopes and wishes more than once. Keep an eye on your communication skills to avoid being perceived as too aggressive. Your logical, straight-forward approach doesn't sit that well with everyone, particularly the more emotional Water Signs (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces), so be sure to give some conscious thought to your words and body language to avoid any misunderstandings that could get in the way of everything else you have going on.
