There are a few long-term trends out there that set the stage for April that will be worth going over so you have a general idea what to expect over the next several months and years. Your Sign Ruler, Pluto, moved into Capricorn, your Natural 3rd House of thoughts, ideas, immediate neighborhood and short journeys in January. He is going to be visiting there until March 2023, so some of the effects you may be seeing already will be there in one form or another for about 15 years. Just ask Libra, who's probably been doing a happy dance since he left their 3rd House. Actually, since Pluto is your Sign Ruler, his presence in your thoughts is likely to be quite comfortable. You love secrets, covert activities, mysteries, and all the other hidden elements that go along with Pluto. He's a powerful dude and he's someone you can relate to, n'est-ce pas? Transformation is the name of the game and if there's anyone who's not intimidated by such a proposition, it's you (who probably isn't intimidated by any proposition, for that matter).

For the entire month, Saturn will trine Pluto, who's currently retrograde (RX) in Virgo, your 11th House of friends, organizations, groups, hopes & wishes. Saturn is a stern task-master who is all about discipline, restrictions, boundaries, delays and so forth. If any of these qualities are lacking in this area of your life, Saturn is there to tutor you accordingly. While RX, all of this is ruminating in your unconscious, but should break the surface around the first week of May. A trine is a harmonious aspect, meaning the planetary energies flow easily between the two planets, so Pluto is helping this process along, perhaps by unearthing past events or circumstances that relate to the housecleaning that needs to occur in your 11th House. Since you're not scared of Pluto like some people, you're probably not worried, nor should you be, as this type of purging is a good thing. At least Pluto is in your 3rd House, which will work primarily with your thoughts, which are already imbued with your Scorpionic nature, though some effects are likely to appear from time to time regarding events in your neighborhood or when making short trips. In other words, expect to discover various covert activities all around you without making any effort on your part. However, I can't help but believe that for a Scorpio this is largely business as usual. During about that same time Venus will also aspect Saturn in such a way that an adjustment might be required relative to this same venue of friends and so forth.

Venus will throw a square to Pluto from your 6th House of work, health and pets between April 5 - 10. Venus in this house is probably about money, unless you have a romantic relationship with someone there, in which case it could tie into that. In either case, more than likely something is going to surface that might cause a conflict of some sort. The good news is that by the end of the month, this aspect will be a nice, friendly trine, indicating that all's well that end's well, especially since for the last two days of the month Venus, Saturn and Pluto will be in a group hug known as a Grand Trine, allowing the energies to flow between them in a harmonious way that should get the problem solved in a peaceful and practical manner, especially since all three planets will be in Earth Signs.

Also during the month of April, Jupiter will sextile Uranus. Jupiter is also in your house of thoughts and as a benefic planet who expands and inflates what he touches, you have probably already experienced numerous grandiose ideas since March 2003 when he entered Capricorn. He'll only be there until January 2009, however, so if you haven't come up with that grand idea yet that will make you rich, you have less than a year before lucky Jupiter departs, though no doubt Pluto could do a good job of this as well. However, Jupiter's enthusiasm could be quite helpful, so keep an eye on whatever comes along as a potential jackpot. Uranus is in your 5th House of creativity, children, love affairs, ego, speculation, entertainment and all that sort of thing. With Jupiter in your house of thoughts and Uranus in your house of creativity, it seems as if it should be relatively easy to come up with a mighty grand idea, or more likely, scheme, when you put the Scorpio spin on things (no offense, but you know it's true). It may relate to one of those other areas as well. For example, maybe you'll give birth to quintuplets, have suitors or beautiful women beating down your door, or maybe it's just time to get that money the easy way through a lotto ticket. Who knows? While I don't recommend spending huge sums of money on lotto tickets, but this is probably a good month to do so. If you're supposed to win it only takes one ticket, and with the odds the way they are, even having 10 or 20 doesn't improve it that much, so stick to one and see what happens. The bottom line is that this is a favorable aspect for such things, even though it doesn't come with any guarantees, just like the universe in general. The most favorable time in the month is between April 12 - 16, so if you're on a very limited budget, that would be the time to pick up that lotto ticket.

Speaking of kids and lovers and such that reside in the 5th, Mercury could deliver an annoying bit of news relative to work that affects your 5th house in some way. This shouldn't be serious, but more like having to work late or go out of town when you have a hot date, your child has an important activity, or something like that. It shouldn't be anything worth worrying about. Mercury moves quickly, being the inner-most planet, and actually covers three signs this month. He starts in Pisces, slips into Aries on April 3rd and into Taurus on the 18th. These signs represent your 5th house of creativity, 6th house of work, and 7th of relationships, respectively, and since Mercury influences communications of all kinds, more than likely you're going to be seeing activity in these areas. In general, this stimulation should be useful, but be a bit cautious between April 13 - 16 when Mercury squares Neptune. Neptune is in your 4th House of home environment, which could indicate a problem in that area relative to deception or delusion of some sort. For example, if you need some repairs done, make sure the bid or actual bill doesn't have unnecessary padding.

There should be quite a bit of action in your 6th House of work, health and pets for most of the month due to all the planetary action in Aries. The Sun is there until the 20th, which usually serves to bring light and emphasis to that area. Mercury is also spending a couple weeks in that area as well as Venus. In addition, the New Moon is there on April 5, implying a new beginning or some description in that part of your life. Everything is not coming up roses, however, as the Sun squares Mars the first two weeks of the month with another square to Jupiter between April 5 - 17, creating a T-square. Mars is the ancient ruler of Scorpio, so still has a little more punch for you than most. Or let's just say you know how to put that Mars energy to use better than most of the other signs, Aries excepted, of course. Anyway, Mars is in your 9th House of higher education, legal matters, long distance travel, beliefs (including religion and politics) and that sort of thing. So do the math, Scorpio, and decide which of these venues has been affecting your life. With the Sun in your house of work, health and pets, and Mars in the 9th, what kind of conflict could arise between those two venues? Look for something the first half of the month, with arguments likely between the 8th and the 13th. Actually, you probably won't have to look too hard. Look for some opposition relative to your neighborhood that might have a legal spin the second half of the month. Another possibility is a simple clash between your expanding thoughts and established beliefs, possibly of a political or religious nature.

Note, however, that the second half of the month that the Sun will throw a harmonious trine to your buddy, Pluto. This is likely to be quite a nice aspect for you. From April 16 - 20, the Sun will be in your 6th House of work and after the 20th, when he moves into Taurus, he'll be in your 7th House of relationships, which includes all one-on-ones, whether it's your significant other, close friend or relative, or business partner. This should generate some useful thoughts and ideas relative to work and your relationships, respectively, that are likely to contain some useful information that you'd previously missed. Mars, in turn, will trine Uranus, throwing some extra energy into all that 5th House creativity between April 15 - May 4, that is likely to tie back to that 9th House higher ed, legal, beliefs, etc. stuff noted earlier; remember that a trine is harmonious so this should be a good thing. Thus, whatever crap that may arise in the first part of the month is likely to be put to rest the second half with some creative problem solving. The Full Moon on April 20th in Scorpio may come in handy as well as it's likely to culminate something for you of a personal nature.

It's a busy month all around as those inner planets do their dos-à-dos with the slower moving ones. Intrigue is likely to be on the rise now that Pluto is in your 3rd House of intellect, neighbors, and short journeys, which is likely to make the coming months and years quite entertaining, since you thrive on this sort of thing. In fact, with all the emphasis on work anyway, if you're not already in a job where you can use your Scorpio talents for uncovering secrets, the next few years would be an ideal time to start heading for a career in that direction.
