Saturn until 05/03

Over the next several years while Pluto is in Capricorn, there will be an ongoing theme that you're likely to notice regarding your Natural 5th House of creativity, children, lovers, speculations, entertainment, and ego.  Pluto is the farthest out and slowest moving of all the planets, as you probably already know.  But what you probably don't know is that he'll be cleaning out your 5th House until March 2023.  That's a long time and I don't imagine even the most meticulous of Virgos out there is going to write that event into their schedule.  You'll be happy to know that there are worse Pluto transits than this, but nonetheless you'll experience a major overhaul in this part of your life.  Needless to say the 5th House comprises a broad spectrum so Pluto has a target-rich environment.  The Rule of Zodiacal Immunity is also in force, which means you're safe if something is in order and doesn't require the universe's intervention to get you to fix it.  If the sewer lines aren't clogged, there's no reason to bring in the backhoe and ravage the backyard, kapeche?  So bear that in mind for the next 15 years.

I suppose you're wondering what exactly Pluto is going to do.  As previously alluded to, he's the Zodiacal Roto-rooter.  If there is anything amiss in your 5th House, he's going to dig until he finds the cause, no matter what kind of mess it requires, and then help you put things back in order.  It can also be compared to lancing a boil, that is painful at the time, yet allows the poison to drain and the wound to eventually heal, albeit with a scar.  Pluto is about transformation and the final product may bear little resemblance to the original.  Obviously, this doesn't happen overnight, but equally obvious, 15 years is probably long enough.

During April, Saturn is going to be trining Pluto, which will be part of this ongoing process.  Saturn is in Virgo, your 1st House of personality and how you present yourself to the world.  Saturn is also retrograde (RX) until May 3rd.  While retrograde, Saturn is cleaning house in his own way, gathering up information pertaining to such things as responsibility, obligations, restrictions, boundaries, and so forth, as they relate to you personally, and storing them in your unconscious mind.  Most Virgos are pretty responsible as well as self-critical, so this may not even make it above the noise level, based on the Rule of Zodiacal Immunity noted above.  Nonetheless, since you're a perfectionist, there's probably something you can work on, which will become apparent after he regains direct motion and this floats to the surface of your conscious mind.  The trine to Pluto is going to help Saturn dig even deeper, specifically as it pertains to your 5th House.  There's a wide variety of things covered and he's sure to find something.  Remember that a trine is a harmonious aspect, meaning the energy will flow easily between these two planets, which will facilitate whatever is on the agenda this month.

Also during this month Jupiter will sextile Uranus.  Skipping past the bad jokes, first of all note that Jupiter is also in your 5th House and what this gas giant of a planet does is what you'd expect, i.e. expand and inflate whatever he touches.  When you consider this is your house of creativity, this should be a good thing and probably is as Jupiter is generally known as a benefic planet.  If he's in a less friendly aspect to Mars or Pluto, that may not be true, but for the most part he's lucky and helps us out.  Uranus, on the other hand, is totally unpredictable.  You wouldn't expect anything less from the planet of surprises, unexpected events, disruptions and upsets.  He is currently hanging out in your 7th House of relationships.  Remember that for these purposes this includes all one-on-ones, whether it's your best friend, a close relative, significant other, or business partner.  If you'll think back over the past few years, back to March 2003 to be exact, which I know you Virgos like to be, you'll probably be able to recall lots of erratic events related to your relationships.  So, the Readers Digest version is that Jupiter could very well expand the erratic nature of your relationships, but since the aspect involved is a sextile, which usually indicates an opportunity, we can hope that whatever surprise comes along is a good one.  No guarantees, but the odds are in your favor that it will lean in that direction.

Your Sign Ruler, Mercury, will trine Jupiter from Aries, your 8th house of transformations, between April 12 - 16, which could bring some favorable news your way that could have significant effects on your life.  During about that same time Mercury will throw an itchy aspect at Uranus as well, but this will probably just mean that someone in your life is going to be a pain in the butt and throw some annoyance your way, though this may not even be noticed as anything other than business as usual.  Mercury will spend most of the month in Aries and will be throwing data and communications in general toward just about every planet out there since he moves so quickly.  In some cases he'll even make two major aspects to the same planet.  For example, between April 8 - 13 he'll square Mars.  A square usually means a conflict or crisis of some sort and with Mars in your 11th House of groups, organizations, friends, as well as hopes & wishes, this isn't too hard to imagine.  Face it, you aren't the easiest person on the planet to get along with, though you can't help it that you know how to do anything better than anyone else and are only trying to help by correcting their many faults.  All that aside, expect an argument or something similar those days.  However, by April 27 and into the first few days of May, Mercury will be in Taurus, which is a lot more patient than Aries, and sextile Mars in that same House of groups, indicating an opportunity is likely.  Certainly you've noticed that things are never static and that it's pretty common for things to cycle.  Duh.  In case you haven't noticed, that's why astrology is all about as the planets move along their prescribed course.

It's worth noting that the Sun will be in Aries until the 20th when he moves into Taurus.  As noted, Aries is your 8th House of sex, transformations, and other people's resources.  Wherever the Sun resides will have some emphasis, so expect to have some memorable experiences that could have a deep impact on you in some way.  The New Moon on the 5th will probably start this process.  There might be some opposition between your group activities and your creative efforts between April 5 - 15, but the solution should lie within yourself, even if it means doing something differently than you have in the past, demonstrating that transformation concept noted earlier.

Friendly Venus will be in your 8th House as well from April 7 - 30.  She's also benefic and seldom does any harm.  She'll square Pluto between April 5 - 10, which could be no more than encountering something else from your past that you need to take care of, per that Plutonian agenda.  She'll also be in cahoots with Saturn to cause an adjustment of some sort to your personal outlook between April 7 -11.  The good news is that by the 30th she'll be in Taurus throwing a nice harmonious Grand Trine to both Pluto and Saturn, which should resolve whatever it was in a favorable manner, particularly since all the planets are in stable Earth Signs.

The Full Moon on the 20th should mark the culmination of a thought, idea, or possibly even something related to your neighborhood or a short trip somewhere that may not tie in with all this other stuff, though it's possible that it might.

This month there's a lot of emphasis on transformation with Pluto and Jupiter working on your creativity in one form or another for the long-haul.  More than likely you've reached a point in your life where things are shifting gears and now you need to take a long, hard look in the mirror to make sure you're ready to go in that direction.  As always, the Universe is there to help, usually in a more sincere manner than our friends at the IRS who make the same claim.  Not that it matters to you Virgos who've had your taxes done perfectly months ago with the refund safely tucked away.
