The Sun is moving in your direction and will enter your sign on August 23 with Mercury and Venus coming your way as well.  Meanwhile, most of the action this month will be in your 12th House of dreams, spirituality, inspiration, and hidden enemies.  The New Moon on August 1 will kick things off and include some extra punch since this New Moon is also a solar eclipse, which by definition is a conjunction between the Sun and Moon.  The difference, however, is that for an eclipse they're also at the same declination as well as zodiacal degree, meaning they're the same height above the horizon.  A New Moon eclipse will usher in something new in the area of your life represented by its House placement, which in this case for Virgos is the 12th.

Mercury, your Sign Ruler, is cozied right in there as well, which will bring a bit more mental activity with it as well.  Also worth noting is the asteroid, Vesta, who's in square to the New Moon.  Vesta has a lot of qualities that are similar to Virgo besides the fact she's the one  most often represented as the Virgo icon, perhaps because she was not only a virgin but also associated with service, rituals, and dedication.  For this New Moon, she just happens to be hanging out in your 9th House of beliefs (including religious and political), higher education, long distance travel, and legal matters.  Thus, it appears that she'll be imparting some of her qualities to something in that area of your life, which will come in handy if you're trying to accomplish something.  However, since she's in square to the Moon, there will be a conflict of some sort between them, so bear that in mind as whatever develops progresses over the next several months.  That Sun/Mercury conjunction will linger until August 5th, providing some extra illumination in this somewhat ethereal part of your life.  As a practical Earth Sign, things of a spiritual or inspirational nature may not be something with which you're overly familiar, but that will probably change a bit this month as a variety of planets parade through that part of your Natal Chart

Also in force the first few days of the month will be an opposition between Venus and Neptune.  These two are normally somewhat compatible, at least when Venus is tied into the relationship portion of her duties, but less so when she's guarding your financial interests and possessions.   Venus in your 12th House (or any house, for that matter) is generally a pleasant experience and she's probably bringing nice, comfortable experiences your way.  Neptune, planet of dreams and inspiration, seems like a worthy companion, except he's actually over there in your 6th House of work, health/fitness, and pets.  This could be causing a few daydreams or downright delusions related to your work or health by impairing your usual, practical, down-to-earth view of the world.  This is not necessarily a bad thing and may be quite enjoyable, but just make sure you don't take it too seriously or lose touch with reality.  Loosely tied in with this opposition is another player, in this case, Pluto, who's parked in your 4th House of home environment and trining Venus.  This aspect will give you something to think about regarding the spiritual climate of your home.  If there's anything there you need to exhume and renovate, the god of the Underworld will be more than happy to point you in that direction.

Another influence out there, in this case from August 1 - 12, is an opposition between Mars and Uranus.  These two tend toward the bad actor side of things and in this configuration could cause some disruptions or disturbances in your relationships.  Mars is cruising through your 1st House of personality, which will make you more driven and aggressive than usual.  Virgos by nature aren't exactly patient, and this will put that into overdrive.  This is going to affect those born between September 8 - 21 the most, so brace yourself.  Uranus is chugging along in your 7th House of relationships, which has probably been causing enough crap the last several years, since March 2003, to be exact.  Okay, Virgo, March 11, knowing how you like detail.  Anyway, changes, surprises, upsets, and all sorts of stuff has been so common by now you see it as normal.  However, during the first two weeks of August you'll probably get into it with someone who gets on your last nerve a little bit too forcibly to be ignored.  Remember that your 7th House includes all one-on-one relationships, not only your significant other.  That means close friends and relatives as well as business partners or associates are also in there, opening up the field of possibilities a bit for who might stir things up.

The good news is that from August 13 - 31, Mercury and Venus will be in a bear hug in Virgo, which should allow you to communicate in a peaceful manner that may help you resolve the previous situation in a peaceful, constructive manner.  This influence will peak on August 20, so if you have anything important you want to say to someone, e.g. your boss, put that date on your calendar to do so as you should be well-received at that time.

On August 16 the Full Moon will show his face in Aquarius, your 6th House of work, health/fitness and pets.  Virgo rules the zodiacal 6th House, so this is an area that means a lot to you.  There are few with a stronger, more meticulous work ethic than Virgo.  The Full Moon, which is also an eclipse, but in this case one that will close something that started about six months ago, is sidled right up next to Neptune, however, drawing in that dreamy quality again, but several other planets are configured in a nice, solid Grand Earth Trine.  Mars, Mercury, Venus, and Saturn are all in Virgo with the latter three part of one leg of the Grand Trine.  These will bring you a lot of energy, stability, and good vibes in general.  Also involved is Jupiter, who's in Capricorn, your 5th House of creativity, children, romance, ego, and entertainment, implying an expansion and good luck in this part of your life and directly tied into all those positive personal vibes.  The third party in the Grand Trine is your buddy, Vesta, who has gotten into the act with both of the major lunations this month.  She's still in Taurus, your 9th House of beliefs, academia, and so forth, which implies that rituals, service, and dedication are part of the picture as well.  Remember that this Full Moon is the culmination of something, which looks as if it has a happy ending.

There are a few things going on between about August 10 - 24 that could be annoying, however.  Mars will square Pluto, which certainly isn't a very auspicious grouping.  Mars starts out in Virgo, then moves into Libra on the 20th, dragging this influence across your 1st and 2nd House.  Your 2nd House covers your finances, possessions, and pleasures.  Pluto is in your 4th House of home environment where he's been digging up all sorts of crap for quite a while, ranging from plumbing problems to other household annoyances like cockroach infestations.  If you have any dirty little secrets, they're likely to come out, and you'd better leave some room in your budget this month for a household repair or two, unless you have a home warranty.  During roughly this same time, the Sun will oppose Neptune, throwing some light on those fantasies at work that may cast them in the harsh light of reality.

From August 17 - 26, the Sun will trine Pluto, which will at least solve a few mysteries and perhaps give you some advance warning on impending problems that might break loose during that Mars square.  It could also flush out some dirty little secrets related to your household, such as more problems with appliances you didn't know were there.  Jupiter will trine Saturn from August 20 - 31, which will deliver some discipline and structure to a big creative effort or perhaps announce additional responsibility regarding your children or lovelife, but in a pleasant way.  The last week of the month the Mercury/Venus conjunction will square off with Pluto, and also make the trek from your 1st to 2nd House.  This will at least assure some positive communications while dealing with what might otherwise be a less than enchanting situation, being as Pluto is involved again.  Maybe you'll be able to sweet-talk a relative to help dig up that sewer line at 2:00 a.m.

The last few days from August 29 - 31, the Sun will join with Saturn for a stroll through your 1st House, affecting those born between August 27 - September 7 with a fresh look at their obligations and responsibilities.  Since Virgos usually take these things seriously, this shouldn't be particularly painful.  The second New Moon this month on the 30th is in that same area, implying something new is developing that will further shape your personality, so keep your eyes open and make the most of it.

There's a lot going on this month in a variety of venues, from the spiritual to the physical.  Don't get too lost in the details and lose sight of the forest for the trees, which Virgos are wont to do.  Your Solar Return is coming up soon, either the end of this month or in September, depending on when your birthday falls, so you're moving into a new cycle.  Thus, it's a favorable time to close out some of those old issues and move into new territory.
