Saturn December 31, 2008 - May 16, 2009

This month there will be a lot of action going on in your 6th House of work, health and pets and 7th House of close relationships.  This won’t just be busy-work, however, but will also contain some long-term, transformational effects on how you see the world.

On December 1 we have a very pleasant conjunction between two benefic planets, Venus and Jupiter, in your 7th House of relationships.  This bodes quite nicely for expanded socializing, getting to know new friends, understanding them better, and in general building a warm and comfortable relationship.  Remember that these refer to not only your significant other but any people with whom you relate on a one-on-one basis.  As a Water Sign ruled by the Moon, you thrive on positive emotions and there should be plenty to be had on this day, so take advantage of it any way that you can.

From December 5 – 6, give or take a day or so, news or information related to your work will come up against your work ethic and core beliefs.  This could also involve a legal matter, a decision on whether to relocate, going back to school, or something else along these lines.  The possibilities are extensive, but you’ll be able to find a conflict of some description in these areas if you look and listen.  Gather all the information you relative to your current work (or possibly health) and you should be able to figure it out.  There’s a lot of energy in your 6th House of work that peaks around this same time to help you formulate a solution.  A blast of inspiration will come your way on the 7th to help it along even further.

On or around the 8th, a relationship will bring about a transformational change of some sort, where you never see things quite the same again.  This will involve someone that you care deeply about, but may not have known as well as you thought you did.  Just a heads-up that Pluto has once again moved into your 7th House of relationships so during the next several years your relationships are going to be viewed on a different level than in the past.  Your perceptions will be deeper and more soulful, which will bring you closer to some and distant from others.  Superficial relationships won’t interest you and you’ll discern things about others you may have missed for years.  You may find some simply aren’t worth it and it’s time to discard them so you can spend your time with those who have greater meaning in your life.  This is the Universe’s way of helping you cull out the chaff, those people that take up your time and energy without giving anything back.  As a Water Sign you’re particularly vulnerable emotionally and this ongoing transit will help you identify the keepers in your life.

On the 9th expect some annoyances at work from those of the opposite sex or perhaps a conflict regarding work with a significant other.  This shouldn’t be major, just one of those days, if you know what I mean.  On the 10th a clash with your belief system, again related to work, will arise, that will make you question a few things, such as what are you doing there?  If the answer is not obvious, you need to think about it, hard.  Talking about it with those close to you is likely to bring more frustrations, so this is one you probably ought to solve on your own.

December 12 brings a Full Moon and this one has quite a bit of punch behind it.  A Full Moon brings a culmination to something, but this one brings a lot of conflict along for the ride as it’s part of a Mutable Grand Cross.  These, by definition, contain at least four square aspects and two oppositions, none of which are comfortable, but usually drive us to take care of business.  For you Crabs these vibes are going to relate to a broad spectrum that has a lot of mental and spiritual considerations.  Whether you’re getting the spiritual food you need; enough challenge mentally; whether you’re working too hard on the job; and whether your old belief system is still working for you, a move is in order, or going back to school should be on your agenda.  These will all come into play, in one way or another.  If there’s anything in one of these areas that is out of whack, it looks like it’s time to come to terms with it, once and for all.  If you don’t do so voluntarily, then the Universe may force the issue in your behalf.

The good news is that that Mercury will be in conjunction with Pluto at that same time, further enhancing your ability to delve deeply into these issues, see them in a slightly different way than before, decide what needs to go, and be willing to transform your thoughts, as required, to make it happen.

Continuing along these themes, on the 13th more inspiration will come your way with some opportunities for other options to help you in your quest.  A few days later on the 15th your ideas could meet some opposition at work, perhaps by getting in the way of someone else’s drive.  Another possibility that you need to watch out for at this time is that something that has been bothering you could actually cause an illness to take place or even an accident, if it’s pervasive enough to distract you.  Try not to worry or fret about anything too much during this time and be kind to yourself.

If you’ve had some inspiration lately that you’d like to act upon, you’re likely to have the opportunity to do so on or around the 16th, but some annoying data will stand in your way.  More conflicts with relationships at work are likely then as well.  Around the 21st, a transformation will occur in one or more relationships that could make a big difference in how you see that person or situation in the future.  This will be further assisted by the conjunction between the Sun and Pluto on the 22nd and again relates to deeper insights into those close to you and any superficial ties you could do without.  Things at work will continue to be annoying on the 23rd, or if it’s a health issue you’ve been trying to ignore, it will get your attention at this time.

Your belief system is under review, whether you’re aware of it or not, and Christmas Eve it will especially be at work.  These are more than your thoughts, and include where you believe you should be at this time.  Again, the higher education or relocation issue could arise, if these are relevant at this time, with legal matters, which including buying or selling a house, in there as well.  These are not unilateral issues but will involve someone you’re close to, though opportunities and good things should come out of the discussion.

Communicating your thoughts and ideas to those close to you will go well on the 26th, so if you have something slightly controversial to propose, this is a good time to approach it as your communications should go well.  Make sure you stick to facts, however, or you could back yourself into a corner.  The New Moon on the 27th will herald something new coming in the relationship area, which shouldn’t be a surprise, considering all the other activity going on in this area at this time.

December 27 may see a Catch-22 situation between your thoughts or ideas and where you think you should be heading at this time.  Tripping over old ways of doing things shouldn’t keep you from moving forward and progressing.  Just like getting on a fitness program, the process isn’t painless, but worth it in the long-run.  Right around this same time, some favorable inspiration will come your way, seemingly just in the knick of time to help solve the dilemma, though a day or so later you may find that it’s not feasible.

If any of your relationships involve a power struggle of any sort, it’s likely to come to a head on the 28th.  Mars and Pluto will be in conjunction at that time and these two are usually not very friendly when they get together.  This only happens every few years, which is probably a good thing.  If it’s time for you to take control of a relationship, this energy will be of benefit, but if someone is out to do the same to you, look out.  This is a lot of power and aggression, so consider yourself warned.

On New Years Eve that Mercury – Jupiter conjunction, also in your 7th House of relationships, should bring a burst of ideas or activity.  This will be a day when your phone may not stop ringing and you may find yourself talking all day long to one person or another.  This should make for a busy and entertaining evening, if you’re out on the town.

Obviously this month is all about relationships and major changes to your beliefs or other significant factors in your life.  Some of these happenings may be uncomfortable, but rest assured they’ll make you stronger and wiser in dealing with others.  This is not a bad thing.
