Saturn December 31, 2008 - May 16, 2009

December is your month, Sagittarius, other than the last ten days when you hand off that baton to the Cappies, so expect a lot of personal emphasis as you start into a new cycle.  There's a bunch of planets out there in parade formation that are conversing, shaking hands, playing leapfrog, and any number of other antics that will stir up quite a bit of action, including a lot of influence toward the end of the month in your 2nd House of finances and possessions.  December 1st will bring a burst of good luck in the financial area as Jupiter and Venus get together in a nice, friendly bear-hug in that 2nd House, so put that to good use.  It's a good time to make a purchase or you may have someone give you something quite nice, like a bonus.  Between December 5 - 6, give or take a day or so, Mercury, Uranus and Saturn will form a T-Square.  This usually means a conflict of some description and will involve you, your homelife and career in some way.  Changes versus responsibilities coupled with your opinion of it all will be arm-wrestling for attention, so be prepared to make some decisions.

During this same time, the Sun and Mars will form a conjunction, the second one of seven this month.  This is quite unusual, and the result of that planetary parade.  This will be in your 1st House of personality and will infuse you with a lot of energy and attention that you should put to good use, particularly as it pertains to solving that T-Square dilemma noted earlier.  However, make sure you don't factor too much "me" into the equation or it might bite you later.  Some good ideas should be coming your way on the 7th, but make sure they're feasible before being too vocal about them.  There's a fine line between inspiration and illusion, particularly when Neptune is involved.

Pluto has moved into Capricorn, your 2nd House, which should be cause for celebration to some degree.  This bad actor has been in your first house for a long time and I'm sure you'll be glad to see him leave.  If you look back over the past fourteen years I'm sure you'll have to admit that they haven't been the easiest.  You've gone through some hard times and personal transformations that would make a grown man cry, and probably did.  As he moves into your 2nd House of finance and possessions, however, an overhaul is coming in this part of your life.  As with all transits, if you have everything under perfect control you'll be relatively unaffected by it all.  However, if you need to do some work you can bet that the Universe will be tutoring you accordingly.  On December 8 and 21 Venus and Pluto will be interacting, with Venus in your house of thoughts, ideas, and short journeys and Pluto in the House of material things.  Venus is usually good and affects our finances and relationships, but the aspects she's throwing Pluto on those dates are of the itchy-scratchy variety.  If you have any preconceived financial plans, expect to have some different thoughts in that regard by the time the month ends.  Also on December 8, Mercury and your Sign Ruler, Jupiter, will also be in a somewhat itchy aspect, bringing more thoughts or data your way that will probably be less than enchanting.

December 9 will be one of those days when members of the opposite sex truly believe that the other came from another planet.  This will be particularly true if you attempt to have a deep and meaningful conversation with your significant other about the checkbook or that major purchase you had planned.  You might want to chill out and wait a day or two before even bringing it up so as not to have to undo bad feelings later.  Starting on or around the 10th, surprises and unexpected events will start in, mainly around your home.  These will have financial implications, personal implications that will fire up your temper, and more than likely stir a few things up career-wise as well.  These will culminate on the 12th with a Full Moon that hits what are known as the "angles" of your chart, i.e. your 1st, 4th, 7th and 10th Houses and thus touch you, your home environment, relationships, and career.  Relationships are likely to feel it the most.  These are all biggies and there is going to be a variety of conflicts amongst them since this Full Moon trails a Mutable Grand Cross along for the ride.  The good news is that a conjunction between Pluto and Mercury is involved, which should generate some seriously deep thoughts and introspection into what is going on, particularly in that financial area.  More information will trickle in on the 13th, but again, make sure it's accurate before getting too excited that you've found the Mother Lode.

When Mars squares Saturn on the 15th you can expect some challenges at work.  It could be complications with your job itself, or it could be butting heads with your boss.  You may simply have a sense of rebellion and really not feel like doing what you're supposed to be doing, for whatever reason.  Conversely, you may have a lot of energy and drive to get something done but the powers-that-be are throwing themselves in your path.  On the 16th your thoughts and ideas will be a muddle, with inspiration bowing to data and possibly dropping like flies.  Over-confidence will be particularly risky on the 17th, so tone it down or you'll feel mighty foolish later when you have a bunch of credibility to rebuild.  On the 22nd the Sun and Pluto will form the 4th conjunction of the month, which should be worth its weight in gold for you to take a long, hard look at your finances.  If they require a complete rejuvenation, there's no time like the present to figure that out.  You'll probably encounter a lot of frustration during this time when you see that what you really wanted to accomplish simply isn't doable in the financial sense.

Christmas Eve will bring a few surprises along these same lines as your thoughts and ideas about something you wanted to do come a bit unraveled due to some situation at home.  The good news about your finances, however, is that Pluto and Jupiter are currently roommates in your 2nd House.  Pluto may go through there like the auditor from Hell, but Jupiter is all about expansion.  Thus, if you mind your p's and q's, you should wind up in much better shape if you pay attention to the tutoring they're giving you at this time, since Jupiter will move into your 3rd House next month, which also isn't a bad thing since he'll expand upon your thoughts and ideas in a positive way as long as you temper it with at least a modicum of conservatism so as to avoid overconfidence or exaggerated hopes.

The planets are spending Christmas by themselves, but will resume their communications on the 26th when you just might get some good financial news career-wise, either in the form of a promotion, raise, overtime, bonus, or some other little pleasantry.  Just make sure that after all you've thought about and learned so far this month about your finances, that you don't go off and do something stupid with it.  A few wild ideas are going to go through your head, but encourage them to keep going.  The New Moon on the 27th is guess where?  Right, in that 2nd House, giving further witness to the new things coming in that area.  Again, you may have some appealing ideas that simply tank when held up to the bright light of reality.

On the 28th the sixth conjunction of the month occurs, this time between Mars and Pluto.  Talk about two bad actors!  Mars is all about energy and aggression and Pluto about power and control.  These two are caucusing in your--you guessed it--2nd House, and there's no telling what this burst of energy will do.  Remember that your body is included in your list of possessions, meaning this could be reflected physically as well as materially.  If you have a surge of energy use it constructively, not aggressively, and by all means, drive like a civilized person and not an asshole.  (Sorry, but that's the only word that fully describes what I'm talking about and I'm sure you know what I mean.)  New Years Eve brings our seventh conjunction, this time between Mercury and Jupiter, which should be good for some grandiose ideas, again about your finances and possessions.  Write them all down, regardless, because even the crazier ones might make sense later.  This should give you some idea of how you can expand and increase your financial interest, so don't let this one pass without careful scrutiny, especially since Jupiter is your Sign Ruler, which means he has more to say to you than others who don't understand his energy as intuitively as you do.

Obviously the main theme this month is going to be thoughts about money.  There are going to be some significant events, particularly with the Full Moon, that will stir some things up in the four main corners of your life, i.e. yourself, relationships, homelife and career.  Those seven conjunctions will bring a burst of planetary energy each time that will be like cosmic firecrackers going off in their respective areas.  Pay attention to what they say to you as their message should be significant.  As you start into a new solar cycle, maintain your optimism, kiss Pluto good-bye from your 1st House, and get ready to do great things in the year to come.
