Before I get into the specifics for this month, take note of the fact that your Sign Ruler, Pluto, recently meandered into Capricorn. Between June and November this year he'll make a final return to Sagittarius, but after that he'll be out of there for a long time to come, at least longer than any of us need to worry about. More than likely for the past several years (like since January 1995), you've encountered numerous problems within your 2nd House, which comprises your possessions, finances and pleasures, which were above and beyond what your non-Scorpio friends seemed to experience. This was not all bad, by any means, as you have probably achieved greater power over these issues during that time and should be better off now than you were before. However, during that time you could have very well lost everything, and had to rebuild from the ground up. Nonetheless, since we're talking about your Sign Ruler, you can deal with such things better than those from other signs. This is not to say that it was easy, only that you rose to the occasion and took care of business. If you didn't, expect a rerun between June and November. You have undoubtedly heard me refer to Pluto before as the zodiacal Roto-rooter. In a nutshell, he figuratively digs up the landscape and makes a humongous mess with dirt and mud all over, but when he's finished and puts everything back where it belongs, the grass grows back and you're no longer afraid to flush the toilet. On January 28, Pluto entered Capricorn, your Natural 3rd House, which comprises your thoughts, ideas, neighbors and neighborhood, and short journeys. So consider yourself warned that the backhoe has now moved into that territory. This month there's a lot of action in your Natural 4th House, which comprises your home environment. The first week or so of the month, Mercury and Neptune will be hunkered down together in that neighborhood. Mercury is currently retrograde, which will last until the 19th. This is an excellent time to redo, rework, rethink and replan any projects you currently have on the books relative to your home or the people who live there with you. This could be anything from remodeling to keeping up with your children's extra-curricular activities. With Neptune in the mix, you can expect to receive some extra inspiration, insights or even an increase in your imagination relative to these things. While Neptune can also cause deception and illusion, which you need to watch out for, generally this should be helpful. For example, if you're trying to remodel part of your house and haven't been able to quite lay a finger on what you want, this is likely to fire up your imagination and allow you to get it figured out. In addition, Mercury and Neptune are also moving through a nice, harmonious trine with Mars during most of this time. Mars, which ruled Scorpio before the discovery of Pluto, is another influential planet for you. He has recently come out of retrograde, which will undoubtedly provide some drive and energy to complete your projects. He is currently hanging out in Gemini, your Natural 8th house of sex, transformation, and other people's resources. If these subjects tend to make you salivate, it's because this is Scorpio's domain at the zodiacal level and thus near and dear to you. Thus, not only will the Mars energy come into play with any 4th house projects (i.e., remodeling or whatever) but there may be some 8th house influences as well. While this doesn't necessarily imply having sex on the kitchen table (though just about anything is possible with you Scorpios), it could have interesting implications for achieving a major transformation of some description or perhaps a bit of help financially that you hadn't expected. At any rate, it looks favorable, so keep your eyes open and radar deployed, which I know you always do anyway. A disruption or annoyance of some sort courtesy of Uranus may come along between February 6 - 9, perhaps from the kids, a lover, or simply realizing that your creativity doesn't quite match reality, but other than that the planets favor moving forward in whatever you have going in these venues. Note that on the 7th, which falls right in the middle of that period, the New Moon occurs in this same neighborhood, i.e. Aquarius, your 4th House. Since New Moons are invisible, we're usually not that aware of them, though this one will make itself know somewhere because it is also an eclipse. As such, it has a lot more punch than the usual New Moon which only influences the coming month; an eclipse sets in motion something that will be in force for the next several months, or to be exact, until the next lunar eclipse (but not the one on the 20th, which will close out something from the past six months or so.) Thus, using the remodeling project as an example, it's likely that you'll get so inspired by Neptune that you'll wind up doing much more than you originally planned and be working on it for several more months. During this same general period, i.e. the first week of the month, there's some rather favorable activity going on in your Natural 3rd House of thoughts, ideas, neighbors, and short journeys. The two most benefic planets out there, Venus and Jupiter, will getting it on over there in Capricorn. Venus watches over our love life and finances, two things I know you dearly love, and Jupiter expands anything he touches, so expect some favorable activity in this area as well. The only caution is to make sure any ideas you come up with are not over-inflated; on the other hand, maybe this is why those projects you initiate now will last for several months. ;-) On the 18th, Venus moves into Aquarius, which you can tell is like Grand Central Station this month, but this will bring further good things to whatever you have going in your home. From February 22 through the end of March she'll be cavorting with Mercury, which should also favor your ideas and brainstorming in this part of your life. On the 29th, you may tend to over-extended yourself a bit in your aspirations, but as long as you aren't too quick to whip out the plastic to pay for something outrageous that you really don't need, like indulging in that $5,300 chandelier for your breakfast area, you should be okay (unless you're a River Oaks resident and can afford one, of course). The Full Moon on the 20th occurs in Virgo, your Natural 11th House of groups, organizations, friends, hopes & wishes. A Full Moon implies a culmination of something and since, as previously mentioned, this is also an eclipse, this will probably be something that has been going on since last fall. Perhaps you've been involved in a project with your coworkers or friends or been working on something with an organization, or maybe you'll achieve one of your hopes and wishes that you've been pursuing. At any rate, it's time to move on to something different. The Sun slipped into Pisces on this same day, and from February 22 - 27 he'll be opposite Saturn, who's also in your 11th House. Most of us don't view Saturn as a friend as he tends to be a stern taskmaster who reminds us of our responsibilities and obligations. He also is known for instituting various delays, boundaries and restrictions. He'll be hanging out in that neighborhood for a couple of years and imposing what could be some new standards on the company you keep or perhaps on your aspirations, if they're out of synch with reality. On the other hand, he sill also help you find the discipline and ambition required to get there. So while you may feel bogged down from time to time in this area, it's also very likely that you'll benefit from taking a very serious look at this area of you life, if it's holding you back in any way, and then help you to set and attain some significant goals in this area. This month generally looks like a rather pleasant one around your home. Whatever it is you're working on will receive some serious astrological assistance. Take advantage of it while it lasts, because you undoubtedly know that things cycle. This happens to be a very good one, so exploit it for all it's worth.
