February 2008 Astrocast

Key Events:

New Moon:  02/07/2008 (Annular Eclipse)

Full Moon: 02/21/2008 (Lunar Eclipse)

Mercury Direct: 02/20/2008

RX Planets:  Saturn until 05/03

This should be a significant month for you as Aquarius, your Natural 6th House of work, health and pets, looks like an astrological Grand Central Station.  This has particular meaning for you since Virgo represents the Universal 6th House, making these things very important to you.  I know that most of you are very practical minded individuals and don't necessarily believe in luck, but if there is such a thing, there is definitely a fair share of it out there for the taking.  The month starts out with an interesting duo hanging out in the aforementioned 6th House.  Mercury, your Sign Ruler, is hunkered down with Neptune, which is a very interesting combination to say the least, especially since Mercury is retrograde.  Mercury RX is an excellent time to rework, redo, rethink or replan.  You pride yourself in doing things correctly the first time and are more than likely very frustrated by these speedbumps.  However, as a practical Earth Sign, you often miss out on the more imaginative side of things, which is where Neptune comes in.  While you're being somewhat forced to rethink something which more than likely has to do with your house of work and health, it will be to your benefit to have an extra shot of inspiration to go along with it.  While Neptune cannot always be trusted, mainly because he is also known for creating delusions and illusions, armed with your practical nature and ability to find the hidden flaw, you should be able to skim the cream off the top of anything he has to offer and put it to good use.

Coupled with this mental stimulation is another favorable aspect, i.e. a nice, harmonious trine between conferencing Mercury and Neptune and Mars, who recently came out of retrograde himself over there in Gemini, your Natural 10th House of career and reputation.  Of course Mars requires watching as well to assure that all that energy and drive isn't translated into aggression; that, naturally, is up to you.  However, being a trine, you are likely to be able to harness this in a very positive manner.  Thus, if you're putting together some well-thought-out ideas relative to your work and this is coupled with some positive energy in your career venue, it seems as if seeing something good in this is far from rocket science.  This will be in effect for the first week of the month, give or take a day or two.

Be advised, however, that between February 6 - 9 a blip of some description may come along that could originate with one of your relationships.  This will come courtesy of what is probably your least favorite planet of them all, Uranus, whose name alone is rather annoying.  As the harbinger of disruptions, unexpected events and surprises, I doubt you consider him your friend.  There's a possibility that he'll prod someone close to you to give you some crap about all this.  Bear in mind that relationships include not only your significant other, but close friends and relatives and business associates, so this could come from just about anywhere.  As a Virgo, you're not the most optimistic member of the zodiacal set and may be especially prone to naysayers, since you're so often one yourself.  Whatever you do, don't let this stop you from pursuing what you've put together up to that time.  If there's some constructive criticism there that will make it better, all well and good, but absolutely don't give up on your idea.  During this same timeframe, i.e. February 7, the New Moon will occur in the same neighborhood as all those good thoughts.  This is not your usual garden-variety New Moon, which would ordinarily set in motion events for the coming month.  As an eclipse, this one will set in motion events for several months to come, or until roughly the end of August.  More than likely these will revolve around everything else going on in this area, so you don't want to cut it short with pessimism as it's likely to have an important impact on your life.

During roughly this same time period, i.e. the first week of the month, there is something pleasant going on in Capricorn as well.  This is your Natural 5th House of creativity, children, love life, entertainment and ego.  While all that mental stimulation is going on regarding work, your creativity is likely to be stimulated as well by a gorgeous conjunction between two very benefic planets, Venus and Jupiter.  With Neptune to inspire your thoughts and Venus and Jupiter gracing your creativity, it appears astrologically that you definitely have some good things going for you at this time.

On February 19, Mercury comes out of retrograde, so keep this date in mind for definitely moving forward.  The day before, on the 18th, Venus will join the crowd in Aquarius and bring some of her luck into your 6th House.  From the 22nd of February through the end of March, she'll be hooked up with Mercury, who, as you recall, will be moving forward.  This should be very favorable for conveying your ideas and thoughts during that time and appears to be the kick-start for something greatly to your advantage.  Be careful around February 29th that you don't get too carried away with something that's a bit of an exaggeration, but continue to move forward with what by now you should know to be a good thing of some sort.

The Full Moon on the 20th occurs in your sign.  Like this month's New Moon, this is also an eclipse, but this one implies the opposite, in other words the culmination of something you've been working on since last fall, even as the New Moon implies a new beginning for something until this coming fall.  You are entering a new phase of your life with many new endeavors on the horizon.  Be sure to let go of the past as appropriate and look forward in a positive way.  Virgos have good memories, which can sometimes be a detriment as they remember things they would do well to forget.  Don't play dumb with me, you know exactly what I mean.

The Sun moves into Pisces on the 20th as well.  This is your 7th House of relationships, meaning the Sun in that location will bring emphasis to this area.  Recall with that superior memory of yours that this includes all one-on-ones, not just your significant other.  This implies emphasis in this area is likely.  From February 22 - 27, the Sun will oppose Saturn, whose been in Virgo for a few months now.  Saturn is all about discipline, boundaries, delays, and obligations.  You're usually what most would consider responsible, and these reminders may come from yourself, but may also come from someone else.  Take it for what it is and don't get defensive.  Also bear in mind that this once the Sun moves into Pisces, your polar sign, that Virgos come into their solar opposition period.  This can be really, really good, but can also be a time for caution.  Be especially careful around the time of your six-month birthday, as you may be more prone to accidents at that time.  Those of you with birthday between September 7 - 11 should be especially cautious this month, since that planet with the funny name that you don't like is opposite your Natal Sun, making the chances of something unexpected even more likely.  With all the very good stuff going on this month, don't let Uranus cause you any crap.

That said, look forward to the happenings of this month with enthusiasm and optimism because something really good is bound to happen.  The planets are smarter than you think.
