This month will bring a lot of personal attention your way as you start into a new cycle with your Solar Return. The Sun is in your Sign until July 22, highlighting what makes you tick. There is no better time to think about where you've been this past year and decide where you want to be a year from now by setting some goals. As a Cardinal Sign, you know how to take charge and get things done and there's no time like the present to start moving in the direction you want to go, especially with that New Moon in your Sign on July 2. If that happens to be within a few days of your birthday, or better yet right on it, you can expect to have a significant new year before you.

All month long Uranus and Neptune are in a semi-sextile aspect that can be a bit itchy, in other words probably stirring something up. It's stronger than usual because these two planets are in mutual reception, which means that each one is in the Sign the other one rules. This amplifies the energy into a significant exchange between the two, which involves your 8th House of transformation and other people's resources and 9th House of legal matters, higher education, beliefs and long distance travel. This will manifest for Crabs as the desire to improve your life above and beyond where it's been by changing a few things, such as your beliefs, education, or perhaps through some sort of legal action or even a trip abroad. This will affect the Solar Return of everyone born under the Sign of Cancer as well as July Leos. Combine that energy with that New Moon and see where it takes you.

Uranus is the planet of change, upsets, and surprise events and he's messing with all sorts of things this month. The first week or so he squares Mercury, who starts July in your 12th House of inspiration, dreams, and spirituality, though hidden enemies are also included. This could bring along a conflict or crisis of some description that also involves your 9th House. Religion and politics reside in that house with your other beliefs as well as interactions with other cultures. This could manifest as a surprising revelation on your part or news that involves one of these areas of your life. About that same time, Venus will trine Uranus, which should bring a pleasant surprise your way, possibly the silver lining in that other stuff. Venus is in Cancer and thus your 1st House of personality until July 12, which will bring out your natural warmth and appeal. Others will feel drawn to you and see you in a very favorable light, making it a good time to ask for something or call in favors.

During part of that same time, i.e. from July 3 - 18, Mars will be in conjunction with Saturn in your 3rd House of thoughts, ideas, neighbors, and short journeys. Mars is all about energy and Saturn ambition, providing an excellent environment to put some ideas into action. Their placement in Virgo enhances it even more by emphasizing details and hard work, which will make you even more likely to succeed. Until July 10th these two will trine Pluto, who has slipped back into your 6th House of work, health/fitness and pets through retrograde motion. You may have thought you'd gotten rid of him from this part of your life, but the tricky little devil's back until the end of November, doing a final clean up in this area of your life. Pluto is great for exhuming hidden elements so they can be taken care of and resolved. This is another nice combination of energy, that drive and ambition from Mars and Saturn in cahoots with Pluto's power and forensic abilities. If there's anything about your job or health that needs some detective work, the Universe is definitely throwing some help your way, so put it to good use.

From July 9 - 19, the Sun will trine Uranus. If your birthday falls during that time, you're likely to see a lot of person changes coming your way for the entire year, again probably relating to your 9th House of beliefs, academia, and so forth. Remember you can harness this energy and put it to work as opposed to just sitting there and letting the Universe decide how it will play out. About the time this aspect fades out, Mercury will trine Uranus from July 20 - 26, which should bring some surprising but good news your way. During about that same time Mercury will be opposite Jupiter, who's hanging out in your 7th House of relationships. Relationships include not only your significant other but close family members and friends as well as business associates. The Full Moon is over there, too, indicating a culmination of some description in this part of your life. Jupiter expands and inflates what he touches, so one way this could play out could be spending more time than usual with someone, maybe even more than you'd prefer. Maybe it's time to take care of business with someone; you decide. Overlapping this time just barely, from July 21 - 31, Mars will trine Jupiter, throwing a lot of thought energy that way. Another possibility is with all this is that a new close relationship will develop and it may even turn out to be useful with executing some of those plans and ideas you've been pondering.

The very end of the month from July 25th and into August, Venus will oppose Neptune. At this time Venus will be in your 2nd House of possessions, finance, and pleasures, which is a rather comfortable place for the goddess of love to be. The one thing to look out for with this placement is the tendency to indulge too much in food or drink or perhaps overspending. Neptune is over there in your 8th House of transformation, as noted earlier, and this could cause some delusions that could warp reality. You can be sentimental, but are usually reasonably practical, so don't get too carried away daydreaming and overextending yourself financially as a result. It's great to have fantasies and hopes, but don't get tangled up in anything that will ultimately wind up to be a pain in the butt, like another monthly payment you don't need.

As your solar return month, expect to feel a change in various areas of your life. Our lives aren't any more static than the planets themselves. Ideas, insights, relationships, and changes to your belief system, education or religion are possibilities awaiting your action.
