This month the emphasis will be on your 12th House of dreams, inspiration, spirituality and hidden enemies. This is kicked off by the New Moon in Gemini on June 3rd. This lunation will be even more noticeable if your birthday is between July 2 - 8. Remember that the Moon is your Sign Ruler, so you are very susceptible to her actions. That is where all those moods come from, in case you didn't already know. A New Moon usually heralds something new that relates to the House in which it occurs. The good part, of which many people are unaware, is that you have more control than you may realize in choosing where this energy manifests in your life. This is why astrology can be so useful in timing key events. It never hurts to have planetary allies in what you'd like to accomplish. Furthermore, that energy is going to show up somewhere in your life, anyway, so you may as well direct it yourself as opposed to letting the Universe decide for you.

That said, if there is something you'd like to set in motion relative to your 12th House, this is the time to do so. If there's a dream you'd like to pursue, you need some inspiration on how to solve a problem, or you want to work on your spirituality, this is a great time to do so. I'm sure that "hidden enemies" jumped out at you as well as a component of the 12th House. Bear in mind that these are not always overt; someone can undermine you or your interests quite unintentionally. Of course this makes them even harder to identify, but it's important to not get all paranoid about people that are assumably "out to get you."

For most of the month, i.e. from June 1 - 25, Saturn, which presides over boundaries, restrictions, discipline, responsibilities and obligations, will trine Pluto. These two planets, who are generally considered malefic and therefore bad actors, may actually serve a positive purpose while in a nice, harmonious trine. Saturn is currently in your 3rd House of thoughts, ideas, neighbors and short journeys. Needless to say a little discipline in approaching an idea you may be pursuing never hurts. Pluto, who helps us purge toxins and heal our lives, is currently in your 7th House of relationships. Thus, if you're trying to tweak the dynamics of one of your relationships, this could be extremely useful to introduce some discipline, boundaries or whatever into a relationship. Just a reminder, also, that 7th House relationships comprise more than just your significant other. It also includes close friends and relatives and business partners; anyone with whom you have a one-on-one relationship.

There's one caveat regarding Pluto's placement in the 7th, however, and that lies in the fact that Pluto is currently retrograde (RX), and on June 15 he'll be back in Sagittarius for a spell. Sag is your 6th House of work, health and pets and until January of this year Pluto had been there for a long, long time. Nonetheless, if there was anything that didn't quite get resolved in that area before January, now you have a second chance to use his energy to clear things up. This will be in effect until November 28, or the day after Thanksgiving, to be exact. Note that this trine with Saturn and his helping hand with discipline won't be in effect beyond June 25th, but Pluto's presence in your 6th House will still be available in a variety of ways, such as if there's anything going on at work that requires some detective work or you have some vague health problem that you'd like to diagnose. The Full Moon on the 18th may further help this along to conclusion.

Another thing to note for June is that the Sun, Venus and Mercury are traveling together through Gemini in a rather close configuration, particularly between June 8 - 11. This will combine their energies, though the Sun can tend to overpower them. This could cause your ego to get in the way, particularly where relationships or finances are concerned. Also note that Mercury is RX as well until June 19. This is a less than enchanting phenomena that happens about three times a year and tends to honk up communications and mechanical devices of all descriptions. Cell phones, computers, traffic lights, appliances and even automobiles are likely to be on bad behavior. If they completely crater, it's not a good idea to purchase a replacement during that time because that tends to put a veritable curse on the item for the duration of ownership. This is especially significant for something pricey like a car, so I always advise renting one, if necessary, until that RX period has passed.

From June 10 - 15 that Sun/Venus combo will square Uranus, planet of upsets, surprises, as well as unexpected events and outcomes. Uranus is hanging out in Pisces, your 9th House of legal matters, higher education, long distance travel, and beliefs. A square is usually a fairly unfriendly aspect and often initiates a conflict or crisis of some sort. Of course the planets don't do anything directly, just throw their vibes our way for us to use as we see fit. Nonetheless, expect to have something come along during that time from one of those 9th House venues that disrupts or disturbs whatever you have going in your 12th House of dreams and spirituality. Now is also a likely time for that hidden enemy to surface, so be on your guard. As one example, a fairly logical combination from these two houses would be spirituality versus beliefs, so you may have to confront a belief that's no longer working as far as your spiritual life is concerned.

During the time from June 14 - 28, Mars, who's in your 2nd House of possessions, finance, and pleasures, will oppose Neptune. Mars, the god of war, and dreamy, idealistic Neptune aren't exactly what you would call bosom buddies so an opposing stance is pretty characteristic. Neptune, who dissolves boundaries and can either inspire or deceive, is in Aquarius, your 8th House of transformation, sex, death and regeneration, as well as shared resources. This is nothing new; he's been there for quite a while. I'm sure that you'll agree that this 2nd/8th house axis includes many things that are important in your life. As a Water Sign for whom emotions run thick and deep.

That said, during the two week period that this aspect is in effect contains the potential to be quite unsettling. Mars in the 2nd House of possessions while Mercury is RX isn't particularly auspicious, either. If I were a betting person, I'd speculate that something is going to break down that is going to either necessitate getting a loan to fix or will provide a profound experience of some sort, maybe even both. This won't necessarily be earth shattering, but it will represent a learning experience that you'll remember. At the least, it holds the potential for making a decision that involves your dreams versus reality. Watch for it and be somewhat prepared, then make sure you internalize the lesson from it, whatever it might be, for future reference, which is what transformational experiences are all about.

In addition, during most of that same time, Venus and the Sun will oppose Pluto. On the 19th Venus moves into Cancer, your 1st House of personality, with the Sun following on the 22nd. Remember that Pluto will be back in your 6th House of work, health and pets at that time, so this smells like a conflict of some description either at work or related to your health. Bear in mind that Pluto ultimately has a healing effect so when all is said and done you'll be better off.

This appears to be a fairly active month as far as your spirituality and dreams are concerned. Action at work and in your relationships is also likely along with the potential for pulling out the checkbook or plastic to deal with something. Happily, before the end of the month the Sun will be in your Sign and thus bring personal emphasis your way as well as a your annual Solar Return and the beginning of a new cycle. Remember for best results that you need to direct that energy into areas that need attention rather than trust the Universe to do it for you. As a Cardinal Sign, this should come quite naturally.
