This month's emphasis for Sagittarians will be in your 7th House of relationships. Remember that in an astrological context, these relationships include your significant other in a committed relationship, close friends and relatives, business partners, and anyone else with whom you have a one-on-one relationships. These happenings and influences could be focused largely on one of these individuals, a few, or possibly even all of them, in one way or another. With the New Moon in this House on June 3rd you'll start a new relationship and/or enter a new phase in an existing one. Note that a New Moon is an excellent time to harness astrological energy for your own purposes. That energy is there, influencing your life, and you can direct it as you please. This, of course, not a guarantee it will go there, but there's a good chance that it will. Ignoring it simply leaves it in the hands of the Universe where it will turn up, which is somewhat of a crap-shoot. Thus, if you've been wanting to meet someone new or revitalize a relationship, put some thought and action behind it and see what happens. This is true every month, but in a different House, as the Sun moves through the Zodiac. In other words, you get a New Moon to start something new, plus the Sun (and frequently Mercury and Venus as well) in that same neighborhood, throwing their energy that way as well. Use it or lose it.

All month long your Sign Ruler, Jupiter, will sextile Uranus. This should bring a surprise opportunity your way that somehow relates to your possessions and home environment. If you've been wanting to get something for the house, chances are good that you'll find exactly what you want, and probably on sale. One caution is in order here, however, before you dish out a big chunk of change. Mercury is retrograde (RX) until June 19th. If you're already familiar with this particular phenomenon, please be patient while I explain it to those who aren't. This tends to disrupt the function of anything related to communications or mechanical devices. Since Mercury is currently doing the backstroke in one of his home territories, i.e. Gemini, this will probably be even more noticeable.

To wit, think about how your cell phone and computer have been working lately. It doesn't bode particularly well for human communications face-to-face, either. If you purchase something affected by this, i.e. a communications device, a major appliance, or heaven forbid, an automobile, keep in mind that it will bear the Mercury RX mark for the duration of ownership. Purchasing something, whether it's a watch, a blender, a home, a business, or whatever, creates the equivalent of a natal chart for that item, that will be in force until it either dies or you pass it along to someone else. If you're unfamiliar with astrology and how well it works, this probably sounds crazy, but indeed it does work and quite effectively. It's all about timing things so they coincide with planetary energy as opposed to conflicting with it. So, bottom line, if you find that dream item on sale, put off buying it until the 19th or forever hold your peace. If it's not electronic or mechanical, you're probably okay, but I still think I'd wait, if at all possible. Even if it's something like paint, it could be the wrong color when you get it home, or something like that.

Sometime while the Sun and his entourage are transiting Gemini you'll have your solar opposition, which is right around your 6-month birthday. This will bring attention to you in some way, good, bad or indifferent. Be somewhat careful during that time, give or take a few days, as some people tend to be a little more accident prone at that time, perhaps due to over-confidence. During the entire month the Sun and Venus will be in conjunction, with Mercury in there as well for part of it. Venus presides over our relationships and finances as well as whichever Houses fall in Taurus and Libra on our personal charts. The Sun can tend to overpower lovely Venus, however, which generally reflects on our ego. Thus, keep an eye on your relationship interactions and purchases and monitor them for ego-motivated actions that could bite you later. With this pair in your House of relationships, this is especially likely to play out. Sagittarians are often perceived as arrogant as it is, largely because of their philosophical views that soar above normal person's heads, so be aware and keep that ego in line with civility.

Saturn will trine Pluto from June 1 - 25th. Saturn is in your 10th House of career and reputation and Pluto starts out in Capricorn, then backs into Sag again on the 15th due to retrograde motion. With Pluto in Capricorn, your 2nd House of possessions, finances, and pleasures, he'll be exposing any flaws associated with those issues until June 15. A trine is a positive aspect, however, and institutes harmony between the planets so engaged. Saturn in your 10th bodes well for applying the discipline and responsibility necessary for furthering your career ambitions. This combined with Pluto in the 2nd could easily force a comprehensive look at how these two fit together. For example, maybe your dream job will mean a large cut in pay where you have to put your money where your mouth is to attain emotional satisfaction. On the other hand, maybe you're living too far below your means and could benefit from upgrading your life style so you can entertain the higher-ups as another way for climbing the career ladder. After June 15, when he's back in Sagittarius, he'll be finishing up any unresolved personal issues. Until the 25th, he'll pair with Saturn to infuse a bit more responsibility and such into your personality. After Saturn moves on, he'll be working on your personality some more until November 28, when he'll go back into Capricorn to stay, never to return to Sagittarius for the rest of your lifetime, unless substantial medical miracles come to pass.

During part of that same Saturn - Pluto transit, from June 15 - 24, give or take a day or so, the Sun/Venus couple noted previously will oppose Pluto, who at that time will be back in Sagittarius. This will highlight your relationship with others at a personal level, perhaps in context with any new people or relationship phases that come along as expected. If there's anything you persistently do in your interactions with others that gets you in trouble or causes you discomfort, Pluto will help point that out and give you one last chance at using his assistance to make a few changes. I'm sure you'll recognize this one when it comes along without any further explanation.

Mars will oppose Neptune between June 14 - 28. Mars, the god of war, and dreamy, idealistic Neptune, clearly are not the best of friends. With Mars in your 9th House of beliefs, long distance travel, higher education, and legal matters, if you have anything you need to accomplish in one of these areas, get to it the first two weeks of June before this takes place. Remember what I said earlier about using the energy. If you don't, someone else may latch onto it and come after you in some manner relative to these areas. Neptune is in your 3rd House of thoughts, ideas, neighbors, and short journeys where he has been continually dissolving old ideas and introducing new ones that come and go in long cycles that simply blend in with the rest of life. An internal dialog of opposing views will result where you may encounter numerous ideas that are inspirational or idealistic, yet clash with reality and your core beliefs. Knowing how much you enjoy mental sparring, this could be quite entertaining, so listen for it in your quieter moments.

This month is going to involve more of Pluto's transformational forensics relative to who and what you are. This, in turn, will affect existing and any new relationships in a significant way. Be open to new information and willing to put forth some effort to change as you discover areas for improvement. The planets are offering a step-up in areas that will help you move forward more easily and accomplish you many goals, so take advantage of it while it lasts. If you can't beat 'em, which is pretty tough to do when you're talking about a planet, even a small one, then join 'em.
