The ongoing themes this month will center largely around your beliefs and can best be summed up by the statement, "So, how's that working for you?" Those outer planets move quite slowly and right now Cappies have two of them in their Sign, i.e. Jupiter and Pluto. These two are, in turn, connecting with Uranus and Saturn, respectively, which are more slow-movers. These are going to have a long-term influence at a very personal level that is going to open your eyes to a variety of new concepts. As frequently noted over the years, Pluto is the Zodiacal Roto-rooter. He does a fabulous job finding hidden issues that need to be addressed. While he may not exactly bring these things to your attention in a particularly charming way, somewhat like that large, soggy space on the lawn with the nasty odor emanating from it tells you about a broken sewer line, he nonetheless gives the opportunity to identify problems in no uncertain terms, providing the opportunity to clean things up and fix it. When this is properly done, everything can settle back in better than ever, with the mess and expense soon forgotten.

While Pluto is trining Saturn this month the energy flow will be easy and harmonious between them. Saturn is currently hanging out in Virgo, your Natural 9th House of beliefs, higher education, long-distance travel, legal matters, politics, and religion. Saturn is all about defining boundaries and while he's been retrograde (RX) the past several months, issues related to these topics have been ruminating around in your unconscious. When he goes direct on May 3, you'll begin to get a glimpse of what these might be.

Bear in mind that Saturn is extra-important to Cappies as your Sign Ruler. His stern sense of responsibility, discipline and obligation is quite familiar and you may have hardly noticed his latest work as it fit in so comfortably with your normal thought patterns. What has been going on is a deep introspection into anything about your core beliefs or any of these other 9th House areas that isn't quite right. We pick up and refine our personal ideologies as we mature, but seldom really sit down and evaluate those that we may have outgrown or may have been off-target from the start, but at the time we didn't have enough knowledge or experience to recognize it. Religion and politics are obviously target-rich environments, though going back to school is another activity that is highly favored right now. With Pluto's ability to explore something in depth, Saturn's ability to instill discipline and structure further enhanced by Virgo's critical and meticulous nature, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to determine how helpful this could be.

During the first few days of the month Venus will be in Taurus, your 5th House, enhancing your creativity, which will combine with these other two to create a Grand Earth Trine. As an Earth Sign, all this stability and practicality will be as comfortable as an old pair of shoes. The New Moon on the 5th, also in Taurus, should further influence this triad of positive thoughts with an infusion of something new. This could be related to your creativity or self-expression in some way, though it could also relate to your children or lovelife. At any rate, lessons from your past should tie into your beliefs in a positive way that also influences your sense of self.

Also during this month, Jupiter will sextile Uranus. Sextiles usually bring an opportunity and with these two planets involved it appears to be a big opportunity for change or innovation. This will center largely in your thoughts or ideas, though its effects should also be noticeable in your neighborhood in some way or if you take a short trip of some description. Expect to expand your personal view on something or experience a surprise event or unexpected news of some sort that brings personal benefit your way. This is especially likely to strike during the first few days of May and bring some activity to one or more of your personal relationships. Note this occurs about the same time as that Grand Trine, giving you all the more reason to anticipate something exciting will happen the first week of May.

The Sun will be in your Natural 5th House as well until the 21st, bringing light and emphasis to your creativity, children, lovelife, ego, entertainment and so forth. Between May 7 - 16 the Sun will sextile Uranus, creating more opportunities which are likely to manifest as innovative ideas of a creative nature. Recognition or expansion will follow, though you need to be careful not to get too carried away by it all or fall prey to the delusions of wishful thinking. This will manifest at work as well and also has the potential to enhance your health.

Note that from May 26 to June 19 that Mercury will once again be in one of his obnoxious RX cycles. The good news is that this is a good time to rework, rethink and redo anything you've been working on. Moving forward will be at a snail's pace, anyway, so don't worry about it. The bad news is that computers, cell phones, and anything mechanical will be more inclined than usual to be on the fritz with communications in the workplace difficult at best. Cloistering yourself and making sure your work is correct will not only assure a good job but will also help avoid the frustration of being stuck in the mud. There's been enough of that with Saturn RX, though Mercury RX has an entirely different flavor and will be more noticeable, somewhat like spinning your wheels in the mud while with Saturn you were simply stuck up to the axels and sitting there, waiting to be towed out.

Thus, most the action this month is of the mental variety, affecting you at a personal level. This will affect such things as your personality, thoughts and ideas, creativity, relationships, and even your performance on the job. There are some rather positive things going on out there this month so be sure to pay attention. Remember that the planets move at their own pace and some things simply take time. Nonetheless, there are some very positive things going on out there right now that you really wouldn't want to go away until you've exploited them for what they're worth. Put on your thinking cap and have at it.
