This month there are some month-long aspects that will have a strong influence on your thoughts and creative ideas as they relate to any groups or organizations with which you're associated, or possibly your hopes and wishes. Your Sign Ruler, Pluto, moved into Capricorn a few months ago, which comprises your Natural 3rd House of thoughts, ideas, neighborhood interactions, and short journeys. As a Scorpio you're already exceptionally intuitive and have a propensity for discovering secrets of all kinds. Now that Pluto is in your House of thoughts and ideas, this will be greatly enhanced. If anyone is trying to hide anything from you they may as well forget it because they may as well broadcast it on CNN. Needless to say, if there is any way in which you could exploit this expanding talent, now is the time to go for it. Pluto will be hanging out there for a long, long time, until November 2024 to be exact. So if you've ever dreamed of a career change such as being a detective, forensics technician, private eye, mystery writer, or any other profession that requires a flair for the not-so-obvious, now is the time to go for it. This will be even stronger for those of you who are October Scorpios.

During May, Saturn will trine your buddy, Pluto. Saturn is hanging out in Virgo, your 11th House of groups, organizations, friends, hopes and wishes. Saturn's structure, discipline and sense of responsibility blends quite well with Virgo's eye for detail, mechanical abilities and organization skills. Of course Saturn also tends to be stern and serious while Virgo tends to worry and criticize, so these are negative manifestations that could result as well. This is something to keep an eye on since Scorpios already have a propensity for obsessing on things. If you find yourself worrying obsessively about something, this is probably your culprit. On the positive side, this will give you the where-with-all to flush out any false friends, useless associations, or to put together an air-tight plan to achieve whatever those hopes and wishes happen to be. It will also help direct you toward friends and organizations who can assist your endeavors.

During the first week of the month you get an extra bonus in that Venus will be in Taurus, your 7th House of relationships, and create a Grand Earth Trine with Pluto and Saturn. Earth Signs are naturally quite compatible with Water Signs, which comprise Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces. Water Signs tend to be a bit emotional and intuitive whereas Earth Signs (Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn) are all about stability and practicality. Of course having Venus in your House of relationships is a pretty cool transit, anyway. This will only be in effect until May 25th, so make the most of it while it lasts. While it's hooked into that Grand Trine there's no telling what may fall out. This could well turn out to be a romantic interest surfacing from one of those groups, or perhaps some other type of positive relationship. Remember that that 7th House isn't only significant others, but any one-on-one relationship, including close friends and relatives as well as business associates. A New Moon on May 5 in Taurus adds even more interest and possibility for someone coming along that is new who will have a significant impact on your life. So keep your eyes open, get out there with your radar deployed and socialize, on your best behavior, of course.

Another interesting month-long aspect will be a sextile between Jupiter, also in your 3rd House of thoughts, and Uranus, who's been hanging out in Pisces, your 5th House of creativity, children, lovers, entertainment, and self-expression. Hmmmm, let's see if we can do that math on that one in combination with that business going on in your 7th House of relationships. Jupiter tends to expand whatever he touches, though in your 3rd House of thoughts and ideas, he could give you a propensity for exaggeration, too. Sextiles usually herald an opportunity of some sort, and Uranus has quite the reputation for being involved with unexpected events, surprises, and radical change. Take a look at those 3rd and 5th House elements and pick one from each that seems most apropos for your circumstances (remember your intuition is in overdrive) and then wait for the action.

During the first few days of the month, Jupiter will be in a tug-o-war with Mars in your 9th House of legal matters, higher education, beliefs (including politics and religion), and long-distance travel. This opposition across the axis of learning and knowledge implies a possible decision between the impulse to pursue a higher education versus an idea you're trying to put together, which are mutually exclusive. In other words, if you pursue one, you won't have the time and/or money for the other. Chances are whatever comes along in that 5th House, whether it's a lover or new brainchild of creativity, will be the deciding factor. Hang in there until the end of the month and you answer is likely to fall into your lap, most likely between May 16 - 23 when Venus jumps in with Jupiter and Uranus to form a nice sextile pattern, again tying in that 7th House of relationships. Whether it will be a new business partner or a lover who will rescue you from your mundane existence is anyone's guess. Between May 17 - 28 the Sun will square Saturn, which could create a crisis of some sort in a relationship. Don't let this distract you from all the good things that are working in the background.

Mercury will spend most of the month in your 8th House of sex, death, other people's money and transformation. If these sound like some of your favorite things, that is because Scorpio in the natural resident of this particular house. Mercury is all about communications could throw some influence you way regarding some of those thoughts and ideas you're ruminating upon. Note, however, that between May 26 - June 19 he'll be in one of his obnoxious retrograde (RX) periods. This will honk things up a bit if you try and go forward. However, you can put this to good use if you recognize that this is a favorable time to re-work, re-think and re-plan something that is already in progress. You won't make much progress until June 19 anyway so you may as well make sure that you have all your ducks in a row.

That pretty-well sums it up for Scorpios this month. The tone seems to be centered around relationships of various descriptions as well as pursing your hopes and wishes, which may possibly involve going back to school. Someone new is likely to come into your life and some decisions regarding long-term plans are also something to think about. Use that Scorpio discernment, which should be in turbo, anyway, to sniff out opportunities, new ideas, and those who can benefit you the most. All in all, it looks like a very interesting and beneficial month.
