This month there is considerable activity in your 9th House of long distance travel, higher education, legal matters, and beliefs as well as continued actions in your 8th House of transformations. The New Moon on September 29th is also in your 9th House, implying something new is afoot in this area as well. Action in these Houses indicate long-term changes and decisions, which are given further impetus by aspects involving the slow moving outer planets, e.g. Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto. Aspects from these planets last a lot longer, both with each other and as they interact with your Natal Chart, and have a subtle but major influence on our lives while the inner planets, such as Mercury, Venus, and Mars, have more of an effect on our daily lives. [NOTE:--With respect to Earth, Mars is technically an outer planet, but his orbital period isn't nearly as long as the others, so he's more typically classified with the others.] This is not to say that the daily occurrences can't have a major impact, only that they happen more abruptly as opposed to the ongoing background energy created by the slower ones. One outer planet aspect that's in effect from the first part of September through mid-December is a nice, friendly trine between Jupiter and Saturn. Their respective Sign locations for Aquarians place Saturn in your 8th House and Jupiter in your 12th. This is going to stimulate some major expansion of your spiritual insights and beliefs to the point that they'll have a significant affect on your sense of responsibility. Saturn can be a stern taskmaster, so this won't necessarily be an easy transformation, but it will still be easier to swallow than if it were a square or opposition. Besides transformation, the 8th House comprises such things as sex, death, and other people's resources. Of course these can be areas that motivate the transformation as well. In other words, something is likely to occur that makes you think long and hard about a few things to the point that you make a few changes in your life. Recognize the energy for what it is and keep looking until you find the answer you seek. Another outer-planet aspect that has been in force for quite a while, but will fade out the end of this month, is a semi-sextile between Neptune in your 1st House of personality and Uranus in your 2nd House of possessions, finances, and pleasures. This is a scratchy interaction that usually stirs up annoyances or nuisances of some description. It's good to note that on September 15 the Full Moon will occur in your 2nd House as well, further testifying that whatever work was being accomplished here should be nearly if not entirely concluded. What work, you ask? The first thing that comes to mind based on the house placements is how you handle your money, take care of your "stuff," and pursue enjoyment. Neptune in your 1st House, which has been going on for a long time, i.e. it began clear back in the end of January 1998, has a tendency to make somewhat a bit dreamy and unrealistic, even the antithesis of responsible. You won't be rid of this entirely until February 2012, but there's a good chance this little interlude with Uranus, planet of upsets, disruptions and surprises, will issue a few wake-up calls that will help you learn to manage things a bit better than previously. It's particularly interesting to note that Sarah Palin's Natal Sun, which is in Aquarius, is currently conjoining Neptune, drawing some obviously heavy energy from this aspect in her direction. Furthermore, that Full Moon on the 15th will further activate this aspect with respect to her Natal Sun. A new phase of her life is undoubtedly unfolding and you can even see it astrologically. Throw some of Neptune's idealism and Uranus' propensity for change in there and you can see it had quite an influence. If your finances are stable and your "stuff" in perfect order, perhaps because you've been blessed with some strong Virgo in your Natal Chart, this may have only been noticeable in the fact that it has simply taken more effort than usual to keep things straight. On the other hand, Aquarians tend to be quite magnanimous and not overly attached to material goods, anyway, and thus less inclined to hoard or obsess on their assets; they let their Taurus and Scorpio friends maintain the honor for things like that. Nonetheless, things may have gotten just far enough out of hand that at this point even non-materialistic Aquarians are becoming irritated by the seemingly endless stream of mishaps and events that mess with their checkbook or material goods. Right in the middle of the month, between September 10 - 16, the Sun will oppose Uranus, which is likely to bring things to your attention in no uncertain terms, right in synch with the Full Moon a few degrees away on the 15th, which should mark the beginning of the end or at the least a new phase of this particular challenge. As a logical Air Sign, it doesn't seem to make sense as Neptune is throwing his usual fog over the entire situation, keeping you from seeing your part in the resulting mess. At any rate, if this has been a problem area, you've probably had just about enough, so give it some thought, make some decisions coupled with commitments to make some changes, and then use your Fixed Sign determination to make it so. You can easily see how that Jupiter-Saturn trine is in cahoots with that Uranus-Neptune semi-sextile. The Sun will jump in and conjoin Saturn between September 4 - 8, giving it even more emphasis, a Zodiacal call to "Git 'r' dun!" Other planetary antics this month involve Mercury, Venus and Mars, who'll be teasing Jupiter as well, who's as noted earlier, strolling along in your 12th House of spirituality, inspiration, dreams and, unfortunately, hidden enemies. This will mainly be taking place between September 3 - 18, give or take a few days. This trio will be traveling through your 9th House of long distance travel, beliefs, legal matters, and higher education. Generically, that Venus - Mars conjunction that's sandwiched in all this, will make for some interesting male-female interactions, especially since it's occurring in relationship-oriented Libra. In your 9th, Mercury will draw your thoughts toward various considerations with a 9th House spin, Venus will make them favorable, and Mars will give you the drive to take action. During the two week period, give or take a day or two, these inner planets will square Jupiter. Since Jupiter rules the Zodiacal 9th House, this interaction will be received a little more strongly for Aquarians, and provide an additional power boost. The latter half of the month both Mercury and Mars will be trining Neptune, which should bring some inspiration your way regarding all this. In addition, the New Moon on September 29, also in your 9th House, should definitely kick something off, so make it good. As a benefic planet, Jupiter usually brings luck and good fortune as does Venus, so even with a hard aspect like a square this shouldn't be too hard to bear. A square tends to stir up a conflict or crisis or some sort, so being as the 12th contains those few people on the planet who are NOT your friend, someone out there may be stirring up some crap that makes you realize you need to take the aforementioned 9th House action that will be specific to you. You probably already suspect that the planets are trying to push you somewhere and they're just waiting for you to get with the program and set your feet in the right direction. There is one caveat with Mercury, however, and that is that he goes retrograde on September 24 until October 15. This is not necessarily a bad thing, in spite of this phenomenon's sordid reputation for disrupting things. In reality, this will be the ideal time to rethink and replan anything you have in mind to make sure you have all your ducks in a row. The grand finale this month, other than the New Moon on the 29th, is some action involving Pluto. The Sun will square the god of the Underworld between September 18 - 25. This is likely to be a coup de gras as far as all this other action is concerned. Pluto is in your 11th House of friends, groups, organizations, and hopes & wishes, a special place for Aquarians since their Sign rules the Zodiacal 11th House. Pluto, the astrological roto-rooter, tends to drop things on your porch to step on, kind of a like a cat will leave your presents like dead rats in that location. Something is going to come up in that part of your life that you didn't know and definitely don't care for, but it can further drive your other decisions. From September 21 - 25, Mars and Venus will sextile Pluto, which should bring an opportunity your way and could contain a career spin of some sort. Clearly this is going to be a significant month for you that will find you in a different place at month's end than you are at the onset. That is provided you do your part by clearing away that Neptunian fog, doing a lot of thinking, and figuring out the right steps to take to deliver you where you need to go. Bon chance!
