Your neighborhood has been quite popular of late and more than likely you have been feeling the effects.  Jupiter and Venus have been converging since the last week or so of January and prior to that the Goddess of Love was out there making it with Pluto.  Quite the fickle little goddess lately, I would say.  While she was conversing and heaven knows what else with the god of the Underworld, it was probably a time when you did a lot of ruminating and possibly even obsessing on love interests, past or present, as well as possibly your finances.  As Jupiter joined their...well, never mind the analogy on that one... those ruminations would have escalated even more.  As Venus and Jupiter  leave Pluto behind and have their own conversation (or whatever) the forensic review portion of your thoughts should diminish and focus more on the present and future, hopefully having assimilated lessons from the past that will help you make sounder decisions from here on out.  If your birthday is on or within a few days of December 31, you are likely to have something quite good come along is this department, either with respect to your love life or finances.

It's always nice when Venus is visiting your 1st House of personality.  This will not only make others feel drawn to you in a positive way, but will soften and enhance your appearance.  People will like you and not even know why.  I know this is true because I just spent the day in a management class where I met some folks for the first time.  After a few hours they went on and on how nice I was.  I hadn't done anything special nor curbed my usual snide or sarcastic remarks, but for whatever reason (which of course we now know to be Venus in Capricorn) they liked me.  Little do they know, muuuhahahahaha. Anyway, exploit it for all it's worth.  If you're the typical, practical Cappy you know as well as I that it won't last and in this case it's only for the first week of the month.

Mercury is retrograde again, the little devil, but fortunately this will only last until February 19.  Until then, you probably know the drill if you're a regular reader, and that is to avoid buying anything electronic or mechanical and use the time to redo or rework anything you have going.  Communications tend to be rather honked up at this time, so don't be surprised if you have a hard time expressing yourself or others have that problem.  Computers, cell phones, iPods and the like all tend to misbehave as well.  With Mercury spending the month in your Natural 2nd House of possessions, pleasures, and finance you will more than likely encounter a stall or two in these areas.  It's somewhat ironic with Valentine's Day this month being right smack in the middle of that RX period, especially since it's the first week of the month that your sex appeal will be in high gear.  However, maybe you can meet and snag someone that first week and have them so head over heels-in-love with you by then they won't notice if things don't go exactly as planned for the big day.

During the first week Mercury is visiting Aquarius, your Natural 4th House that comprises your home environment.  At that time the communication king will be in a nice friendly handshake with Mars, who just came out of retrograde himself.  Mars is hanging out in your Natural 6th House of work, health and pets, making this an excellent time to put the finishing touches and/or polish on any projects you may have going at work or possibly home.  It's also a good time to rework your eating and exercise habits and start a diet to shed the results of all that celebrating you did over the holidays.  Action in either the 2nd or 6th House is very helpful for starting a diet and fitness program, as explained in the diet section, so this interaction between those two houses should be very motivating.

However, Neptune is going to be having a tête-à-tête with Mars during roughly this same time period.  Neptune tends to dissolve what he touches and you can always hope he helps dissolve some of that fat, but you also can't trust him.  Therefore if you decide you'll go on a see-food diet, meaning you can eat whatever you see, and lose 6 - 8 lbs each week, I would say that the king of the deep has been messing with your common sense.  On a more positive note, he may give you some nice inspiration regarding fixing up your home environment, i.e. redecorating, remodeling, or what-have-you.  You may also be able to draw from the same inspiration relative to those unfinished projects at work and really polish them up.  The New Moon in that same vicinity on February 8 will help this along as well, implying something new is in the making.  As an eclipse, this could be something that's in effect for approximately six months.  There's a lot of energy in this venue during the first week so take advantage of it as well.  Venus slips into Aquarius on the 18th, bringing all her charm and luck and possibly money to your second house.  This can continue to enhance your appearance, further reinforce that diet you should be on by now, and possibly bring some financial benefits your way as well.  This definitely sounds like some things to smile about.  ;-)

You may encounter a misunderstanding of some sort with a neighbor or possibly related to some thought or idea you have in-work between February 6 - 9.  This is likely to escalate when the Sun enters Pisces on the 20th.  You can blame this nuisance on Uranus, which is pretty typical of this planet of surprises and unexpected events, especially when he's in cahoots with retrograde Mercury.  Needless to say when these two get together something is bound to happen, so brace yourself.  With Mercury RX it's likely to simply reopen an issue that was never properly resolved.  The Full Moon in Virgo on the 20th will be in your Natural 9th House of higher education, legal matters, long-distance travel, politics and religion, which will be opposite all this action.  A Full Moon usually indicates a culmination of some sort, so this could also relate to this same issue.  This lunation is also an eclipse, implying closure to something that's been active since last fall sometime.  Around the time of the Full Moon, the Sun will oppose Saturn, your Sign Ruler, who's also over there in Virgo just a stone's throw from where the Full Moon will occur.

Saturn is what makes you what you are, for better or worse, and with the Sun in your planetary face, so to speak, you should be able to call forth your in-born Cappy strengths for assistance, especially since Saturn will also be in a nice, harmonious trine with Pluto, who as you may or may not recall, entered Capricorn toward the end of January.  This should give you some formidable determination and ambition to handle just about anything that comes your way.  Go get 'em, tiger!  The plot thickens as, starting on February 22 through the end of March, Mercury dances with Venus in your Natural 2nd House, which as previously mentioned comprises your possessions, finances, and pleasures.  This will put you in a favorable position for communicating your ideas and is likely to be quite favorable, though around the 29th another annoyance of a personal nature could surface.  By the time Mercury comes out of retrograde, then passes by that same place again the first week or so of March, you should hopefully have it all taken care of, once and for all.

Overall, this month should be generally good, especially for completing some unfinished business and possibly revamping your diet and exercise routines.  Venus will definitely be your friend this month as well, though an annoyance or nuisance of some sort may surface that could keep you occupied for a few weeks.  Utilize those Cappy resources that should be there in abundance courtesy of your Sign Ruler, Saturn, and the Sun, both of whom are in favorable aspect, particularly for those born the last week of December, and you should be out of the woods by the time spring flowers start to bloom in March.
