There's a lot of action for Leos this month in Gemini, your 11th House of friends, associates, groups, organizations, and hopes & wishes.  This gets kicked off on June 3rd with the New Moon.  I'm sure you've heard about wishing on a star, but you've probably never associated that with the New Moon.  Would the truth be known, there is no better time to initiate a wish or action of some variety than the New Moon, particularly when it relates to the House in which it falls.  A New Moon heralds a new phase and considering this one falls in the astrological House that contains your hopes and wishes anyway, this is a natural.

Something to bear in mind as it applies to all astrological aspects is that the energy is going to manifest in your life somewhere.  You can either use it by directing it in the direction of your choosing, or you can just sit there and let the Universe decide for you.  As a natural leader, I would think that you'd see the wisdom in deciding what you want to do with it, which certainly far outweighs letting it decide what to do with or to you.  Thus, if you want to make some new friends, ally yourself with a new organization, or simply pursue one of your hopes or wishes, now is the time to do so.  Note that the New Moon always occurs where the Sun is, since by definition it's a conjunction between these two heavenly bodies, so the Sun is throwing energy in that same venue.  This month Mercury and Venus are there as well, which certainly isn't unusual since those two planets are between Earth and the Sun so never appear very far away from a geocentric point of view.  So enough of the astronomy lesson; let's move on to what's going on this month.

During the entire month, the Sun and Venus will be forming a conjunction.  This will blend their energies, though it's obvious that the Sun is inclined to overpower lovely Venus.  Venus influences our relationships as well as our finances, so while she's in the vicinity of your hopes and wishes, there's no telling what she may be able to accomplish.  Be cautious, however, because the Sun, who also happens to be your Sign Ruler, has a real tendency to throw a lot of ego around, too.  You probably don't want to admit it, but Leos tend to reflect this trait just a tad.  The caution here is to make sure you don't go after something, much less throw some money at it that you don't have, if it's strictly to feed your ego.  You love to shop and with summer upon us the temptation will be strong.  Your best bet, if you must shop, would be to take one of your Earth or Air Sign friends along with the instruction to be a devil's advocate and keep you from buying anything you really don't need.  At the least, put at least 24 hours between finding something irresistible and pulling out the cash or, heaven forbid, plastic.

All month you should enjoy a nice energy boost while Mars transits your 1st House of personality.  The one thing to look out with this would be the tendency to be overly aggressive or come on too strong.  As noted earlier, direct that energy in a positive way.  When that Venus/Sun couple sextiles Mars between June 2 - 11, you're likely to enjoy an opportunity of some sort that allows you to show your stuff by directing that energy into your 11th House in a very favorable way.  If you want to make an outstanding impression on some new friends or associates, or perhaps take a running jump in the direction of that hope or wish, this would be the time to do it.

One caution is in order for June 8 - 11, however, when Mercury slips into the mix by sidling up to Venus.  Mercury is in one of his obnoxious retrograde (RX) phases until June 19th.  This tends to mess up communications of all varieties, whether they're via cell phone, email, the spoken word, mass media, or what-have-you.  If you'll take a moment to think about how your cell phone and computer have been working lately I'm sure you'll see what I mean.  Well, human communications won't be much better.  Moving forward on something new will be hindered by this reverse energy, especially since it's occurring in one of Mercury's home bases, i.e. Gemini, which he rules.  All is not lost, however, since this is a tremendous time for reviewing, reworking, replanning, or rethinking anything you've been trying to accomplish in the past several months.  If you blew through something a little too quickly and it's not going where you wanted, now is the time to go back to the drawing board and do it correctly.  Get all your ducks in a row and by June 19 you should be good to go.  Give it some thought and I'm sure you'll be able to identify something in your life to which this applies.

From June 10 - 15, that Sun/Venus pair will square Uranus who's chugging along in your 8th House of sex, death & regeneration, transformation, and other people's resources.  This will undoubtedly bring a conflict or crisis of some sort your way.  Uranus, who's the patron of upsets, surprises, and unexpected events, absolutely excels at honking things up.  Even when you know he's up to something, it inevitably plays out differently than you anticipated.  Thus, if things are going along a little too well with your friends, that new organization or in pursuing your hopes and wishes, rest assured that during this time period of speed bump of some description is going to try to trip you up.  Since you don't know what it is it's hard to prevent, so your best bet is to approach whatever it happens to be with the most positive attitude achievable and look for anything good that could come of it.  Remember that a square isn't particularly friendly, but by the middle of July the Sun and Uranus will be in a nice, harmonious trine, which should bring it to a successful conclusion, unless you honk it up somehow along the way.

Mars will oppose Neptune between June 14 - 28.  These two planets are definitely far from the best of friends.  Their energies are entirely different, so it's somewhat appropriate for them to be in opposition to one another.  Mars, the god of war, is in your 1st House of personality, as mentioned earlier, putting a lot of personal energy at your disposal.  Dreamy, idealistic Neptune is in Aquarius, your 7th House of relationships, where he's been hanging out for a long time now since he's one of those slow-moving outer planets.  Remember that the relationships covered by this house extend beyond your significant other to all your close friends and relatives, business associates, and so forth; anyone with whom you have a one-on-one relationship.  To get a grasp on these planetary energies, think of Mars as a devoted warrior who thoroughly loves his work and Neptune as a peace guru of some description who won't even squash a bug.  At this point it's up to you to plug in these energies to whatever is going on in your relationships.  Start at the figurative level.  If any relationships aren't going very well right now, take a good look at the tug-o-war to see if you're being a little too forceful or aggressive while the other person is leaning toward being a bit too idealistic.  The first step is for you to identify the energies and how they're being applied, then decide upon a reasonable compromise.

The Sun/Venus couple will oppose Pluto from June 15 until around June 24, give or take a few days.  During the course of this aspect, the Sun and Venus will change signs, changing the flavor.  On June 15, Pluto backs up into Sagittarius due to retrograde motion, putting him back in your 5th House of creativity, ego, romance, entertainment and speculation.  If your ears perked up at mention of those things, it's because Leo is the natural ruler of the Zodiacal 5th House, so these things are near and dear to you and inherent in your personality.  Pluto spent a lot of time in that neighborhood over the past decade and it probably felt rather good when he left last January.  However, now he's back until November 28, the day after Thanksgiving.  Thus, if you have any unfinished business in this area that involves getting rid of some excess baggage, you have about six months to harness Pluto's assistance in getting it cleaned up.

While the Sun and Venus are opposing him, expect a tug-o-war between those activities going on with your new friends or other 11th House issues and what I suspect will be something to do with your ego.  Pluto has been tutoring you in this area for quite a while, and this could be a simple reminder of what you were supposed to learn during that time.  If you slipped back into old pattern when he left in January, he's giving you a final reminder.  It could also involve your lovelife, children or creativity, though of course your ego is involved in them as well.  Around the 22nd when the Sun enters Cancer, with Venus having made the switch on the 19th, this influence will change from your 11th House friends and such to your 12th House, which comprises inspiration, dreams, spirituality and hidden enemies.  So look at it this way, that the Sun and Venus are now highlighting that spiritual part of your life while Pluto continues to grind away on your ego and such, trying to bring something to your attention that relates to both areas.

During the better part of the month, i.e. until the 25th, Saturn will trine Pluto, also.  The good news is that a trine is harmonious and usually friendly, even those both of these planets are usually considered bad actors.  Saturn is in Virgo, your 2nd House of possessions, finances and pleasures where he has been teaching you discipline, respect for your obligations, and an increased sense of responsibility with a strong flavor of organization and detail, thanks to his location in Virgo.  During the first half of the month while Pluto remains briefly in Capricorn, your 6th House of work, health and pets, he and Saturn's discipline will be directed at helping you improve your work situation and possibly your health.  When he slides back into Sagittarius on the 15th, then Saturn's discipline will be lending a helping hand toward that ego work noted earlier.  Thus this aspect along with Pluto's interaction with the Sun and Venus will all be helping you make some progress in this area.  Saturn/Pluto transits usually aren't exactly fun, but they help us grow, mature, and discipline ourselves such that we can be more successful.  This, of course, is provided you accept their tutoring, internalize it, and work with the energy rather than against it.  Believe me, the planets are a helluva lot bigger than you are, so resistance is definitely futile.

Thus, this will be a busy month, socially, personally, and probably emotionally.  New opportunities are on the horizon, but you have some unfinished business to take care of before you can move forward without toting along some old baggage.  This is where you decide whether you're going to hop on for the ride or try to stop the train.  Naturally I assume you're smart enough to figure that one out for yourself.
