This month the most activity for Pisces is your 8th House of sex, death & regeneration, and transformations. Now before you get all freaked out, realize that this includes death in a figurative sense. Often before things can get better, something needs to "die," after which we can move on to better things. For example, if you were in an abusive relationship, it would have to "die" before you could move on to a healthier one. So this is not a bad thing. So, it looks like a lot of planets are going to be pushing you toward some transformational thoughts and experiences that will ultimately have a life-changing effect. Unless you're one of the rare individuals who is 100% happy with your life as it stands, this should be a good thing. And if you are, it still should be as you may gain a greater appreciation for what you have.

There are a couple of long-term aspects out there involving the outer planets that bear some attention. Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, your Sign Ruler, Neptune, and Pluto are all known as the social planets. They take a long time to make it around the Sun and thus stay in each astrological Sign, which corresponds to your astrological Houses, for many years, exerting their influence in that area of your life. Just their presence is significant, but when they make aspects to other planets, particularly other outer planets, these tend to generate major changes in how you see life. Starting this month and until mid-December, Jupiter is trining Saturn. A trine is a harmonious aspect, so the energy from these two giants will work together in a positive way. Saturn is currently in Virgo, your 7th House of relationships. These include not only your significant other, but your close friends and relatives as well as any business partners. Saturn is all about restrictions, boundaries, delays, discipline, responsibility, and obligations. Obviously this planet is not the party animal of the zodiac. Quite the opposite, actually, as you've probably been discovering the past several months. This will be particularly noticeable this month for those born between March 10 - 16, give or take a day or two. Those born before that have already been there and those born later have it coming at them in future months.

Actually, if you're one of those being affected now, the trine to Jupiter is going to be very helpful. Jupiter, unlike Saturn, is benefic. He expands and optimizes, though occasionally a bit of exaggeration can sneak in and honk things up. Nonetheless, for the most part he's our friend and he's currently in your 11th House of friends, coworkers, organizational activities, as well as hopes & wishes. This is where we get a lot of our socializing and such that enrich our lives. With Jupiter in this area of your life, you should be making new associations, interacting a lot with others in a group setting, and perhaps getting a new definition of your hopes and wishes.

Now all of this sounds like party-central, and it could have shades of that, but this is where Saturn comes into play. If you've been short of discipline in these areas in any manner, Saturn will help you rectify that. Maybe you've been a member of an organization for a long time and enjoyed its benefits, but never contributed to the hard work that makes it what it is. Maybe it's time to volunteer as an officer or other active participant rather than sitting by the sidelines. Maybe you have a tendency to let others do all the work while you sit there sunning yourself. If so, Saturn is going to slap you upside the head in some way to get you off your dead, uh, butt. The benefits of participation can be substantial. This is the best way to network, make connections, and move in whatever direction you'd like to go and both Saturn and Jupiter, two big-boy planets, are currently working in your favor to make it so. Don't let it go to waste. If there's one time this month when you need to really pay attention to this one, it's between September 4 - 8 when the Sun conjoins Saturn. This will bring an extra bit of "ooomph" to all this; if anything specific is going to happen in this area, it will probably do so during this time, give or take a few days. So listen up.

Another long-term aspect, which has been out there for quite a while and is due to fade away toward the end of September, is an itchy aspect known as a semi-sextile between Uranus and Neptune. Neptune is your Sign Ruler, as noted above, so he has more influence on your life than those from other signs. These two are also in a configuration known as Mutual Reception, in which each planet is in the house the other rules, i.e. Uranus is in Pisces, your 1st House of personality, and Neptune is in Aquarius, your 12th House of spirituality, inspiration, dreams, and, unfortunately, hidden enemies. Since Pisces is the Zodiacal 12th House, this is an important venue for you, further strengthening this influence. So what's the deal with this one, you ask? Well, with Neptune in your 12th House you have probably been even more of a Pisces than usual the last few months. Your need to transcend reality has been strong and you have probably sought for experiences of a spiritual nature to feed this very hungry side or you. Pisces get their ya-ya's in a variety of ways, depending on other influences in their charts, but the bottom line is that they thrive on glimpses of a better and more exciting world than the one we're in, a.k.a. reality. Neptune has been stirring up those needs, which has been going on for a long time, but is strongest this month for those born right around March 20 - 23. Same rule applies as said before, born before that, it's largely over, born after that, it's on the way.

With Neptune in this scratchy aspect with Uranus, planet of change, surprises, rebellion, and the unexpected, you can probably imagine the general effect. You may act much differently than usual seeking out what you need on a spiritual level, or the Universe may simply be delivering them to your door, uninvited. Things have not been dull lately, I'm sure, but some of the insights and changes coming your way should be delivering you closer to where you'd like to be, or at least providing a pathway to get there, if you're paying attention. Note that the Full Moon occurs on September 15 and is in very close proximity to Uranus. This should indicate a culmination of sorts and new things to come in this area. A major lunation like this will definitely imbue this fading aspect with a final one-two punch that you should definitely pay attention to. It's particularly interesting to note that Sarah Palin's Natal Sun is currently conjoining Neptune, drawing some obviously heavy energy from this aspect in her direction, especially with the Full Moon further energizing the aspect with respect to her Natal Sun on the 15th.

The question you need to ask yourself is, "What do I need to change about myself or how I live my life so that I'll have the spiritual food I need to remain happy?" The Universe is trying to deliver some answers, so make sure you're listening. It's also worth noting that for those of you born between March 18 - 22, your Natal Sun is having a close encounter with Uranus this month. This can turn your life upside down. At the least it will make it very hectic and filled with one disruption or hassle after another. This will be at its worst between September 10 - 16 when the Sun opposes Uranus. Be ready to be flexible, especially during that time. Even though it will fade away somewhat in the next month, unfortunately it will not entirely go away and will be coming back, since Uranus is currently retrograde. Sorry.

OK, all that said, let's look at what's going on in Libra, your 8th House of transformations and such. Actually, there's quite a party going on over there right now that includes most of the personal planets, i.e. Venus, Mars, Mercury, the New Moon on the 29th, which usually heralds a new beginning of some sort, and even the Sun, who'll join the crowd on the 22nd, though most of the activity will take place between September 3 - 18. For a substantial duration of time, Mars and Venus will be conjoined. This on the grand scale should make things rather interesting for male-female relationships, and with all this going on in your 8th House, which includes sex, there's no telling what could come from that. Another component of the 8th House, however, is other people's resources, and Venus can have a positive effect on your finances, so a windfall of some sort is another possibility. Mars gives us drive and energy, so pursuing some of these things as goals is likewise favored.

In addition, the happy couple will be throwing a square to Jupiter. Squares usually bring a crisis or conflict of some variety, but since Jupiter is generally friendly, this isn't as serious as it would be if it were a bad actor like Pluto. Nonetheless, it looks like some of those pursuits in your social quarter with your friends, organizational activities and such, may get in the way. Jupiter can also predispose us to exaggeration or over-confidence, so make sure you don't get duped into thinking something is better than it is. Since you're searching for something better in your life, you may see a ray of hope and think it's the end-all, be-all panacea for all your woes; don't go there or you'll be disappointed. Mercury, as you recall, is in there, too, and also will square Jupiter. Mercury rules communications and data exchanges, so this in particular can further influence exaggerated claims, so take off the rose-colored glasses to examine anything that could bite you later.

Toward the end of the month both Mercury and Mars will throw a nice, friendly trine to Neptune. This should give you some renewed spiritual energy and some more inspiration. Just be aware between September 24 - October 15 that Mercury will be retrograde. This is a favorable time to rework, replan, edit, and revise, but not too good for making progress. Also, be advised to not buy anything of an electronic or mechanical nature during that time as it will probably not function properly for the entire duration of ownership. Trust me on that one.

The Sun will square Pluto between September 18 - 25. This could bring some issues out that need to be resolved regarding your career or reputation and will also involve one or more of your relationships in some way. As the Sun moves into your 8th House of transformation during that time, the ultimate result will probably have a significant impact on your life in some way, such as effecting a career change, a problem with one of those relationships, or something like that. On the positive side, Venus and Mars will sextile Pluto at the end of the month as well. This will further enhance some of those transformation changes that need to be made. Change is often not easy and can even be painful, but when all is said and done you'll decide it was worth it.

Thus, this month is going to be intense for Pisces. There are a lot of forces in effect that go right to the heart of what makes you tick. If there are parts of your life that are out of whack, you will be forced to confront them and your part in them. You should begin to recognize how you've let others use or manipulate you, your part in all that, and what you need to do to take control of your own life. This isn't necessarily going to be a cakewalk, but if you handle it properly the benefits at the end will be well worth it. Bon chance, mon amies.
