This month is relatively quiet other than misbehaving planets though for the last week of this calendar year we have a somewhat rare period when all the planets are moving forward, i.e. none retrograde.  The New Moon this month is in Sagittarius, your 11th house of goals, friends, organizations, groups, hopes and wishes so this is a favorable time to put together your list of goals for next year.  Of course there's always a lot of talk about New Years' resolutions but you as well as those born in December and January have a bit of an advantage for doing so this time of year.  This lunation is particularly useful for mitigating that opposition between Mars and Uranus, which could be holding you back.  Sudden or unexpected changes related to incoming information or upsets in your neighborhood or local travel arrangements could be holding you back from moving forward or adjusting your belief system as appropriate.  Determining what you really want can help clear some of that fog.  That opposition is also part of a T-square with Pluto which is also in effect.  Pluto in your 12th house of Capricorn suggests old, unresolved issues lurking in your subconscious mind could be a factor as well.

Jupiter, ruler of your house of friends and goals, is in Virgo where he's been less than at his best.  This is your 8th house of intense experiences, transformations, death and rebirth, sex, debt, shared resources and things you suppress.  The New Moon is squaring him which throws another obstacle between you and achieving your goals.  You may find yourself taking two steps forward and one step back as you try and progress.  Use that Fixed Sign determination to continue moving undaunted.

Neptune precipitates such things as fog, confusion, deception and so forth on the negative side but on the positive side promotes, dreams, inspiration, idealism and visions. He's hanging out in your 2nd house of possessions, finances, income, needs, comforts and pleasures which could bring some lack of clarity in that area.  Seeing things as they really are may be difficult during this transit which is going to last for a long time.  On the positive side, however, financial astrologer Christeen Skinner believes that Neptune is the planet that delivers big gains.  If you believe in the principle of "The Secret" and in visualizing what you want persistently to attract it into your life, then this could be a good thing.  On the other hand, it could make you a bit delusional.  For this lunation Neptune is squaring your traditional sign ruler, Saturn, in your house of goals and such which suggests that you may not be seeing whatever it may take to bring them into reality clearly.  Neptune can make things disappear and you certainly don't want that to happen to you bank account.

Neptune is also trining Venus in Scorpio, your 10th house of career, reputation, status, and public image.  This could be quite beneficial for bringing something positive your way in this department, especially if you put the Law of Attraction to work.  Visualize what you want in the way of a job, promotion, or public attention and this could provide some cosmic help in that direction.  If nothing else, with Venus in your 10th house you'll be viewed favorably by the public.

The Full Moon occurs on Christmas Day in Cancer, your 6th house of work, service, health and pets.  If your birthday is right around January 24 this forms a quincunx with your natal Sun suggesting a change of direction in this part of your life.  This should bring the hoped-for change to your finances but due to those lingering effects from Neptune that are not necessarily all positive, make sure you have all the facts before making any big decisions.

Taking action on your beliefs may still be ham-strung by something in your subconscious but there are some helpful aspects as well.  Mercury, Venus and Jupiter are set in a nice sextile pattern which shows improvements to your status of some sort can help you deal with any obstacles, perhaps through something that restores your confidence.  Change is not easy for Fixed Signs and that square between Uranus and Pluto isn't helping any but the good news is that Shortly after this lunation Uranus stations direct which may help if for no other reason that he'll start moving forward and thus out of range of this troublesome aspect.
