Just about everyone has heard of Lilith who, according to Hebrew tradition, was Adam's first wife who refused to submit to him and was subsequently run off to cause all sorts of havoc. She is frequently the posterchild of feminists who likewise refuse to cowtow to their male counterparts, but her astrological meaning is much more complex than that of a rebellious, indomitable, bra-burning woman. Lilith tends to be a hot topic for various reasons, first and foremost probably because she relates to sex. Whether or not my assumption is true is anyone's guess, but I do know she receives a lot more attention than the other female mythological characters such as the asteroid goddesses Juno, Vesta, Ceres and Pallas Athene based on the number of hits Lilith gets on my site compared to the others. If you want to see some of the information contained in this ebook you can find it here. However, unlike Asteroid Archetypes: A Primer, which is contained entirely on this website, this book offers various bonus features in addition to what's included here alone, specifically house by house descriptions of the different Lilith entities as well as a close look at the charts of three women who were under strong, malevolent Lilith influences that placed them in the news, i.e., Lisa Nowak, Andrea Yates and Casey Anthony. Thus, if you're an astrologer who wants more detail as well as how these different influences play out you'll probably want to buy the book.
As noted on the Lilith page, some folks have been unhappy with the negative spin I give to Lilith. While I am the first to state that any astrological entity has a positive and negative manifestation, when afflicted Lilith can produce some rather nasty results. I would like to point out that Ivy Goldstein-Jacobson, a well-known astrologer from years past, is of the opinion: Lilith is always SINISTER and MALEVOLENT in her intent and ultimate effect so that the matters and people represented by the house she is in will not be granted full measure of the good that otherwise could develop in the native's life in that department. She is DENYING, FRUSTRATING and CATASTROPHIC, bringing CHAOS to the affairs ruled by that house.* Therefore, I'm in good company with my opinions. Nonetheless it is always the choice of the native how to act out the energy, though from what I've seen of afflicted Lilith transits it can be extremely difficult to overcome. I don't have any stories of those who have resisted and overcome; they don't make the news. Therefore I know only of those who have fallen under Lilith's spell and fit Goldstein-Jacobson's description to the proverbial "T."] * Ivy M. Goldstein-Jacobson, The Dark Moon Lilith in Astrology, (Alhambra, CA: Frank Severy Publishing, 1961). * * * Description on Amazon.com If you are looking for a fair and
balanced treatise on the astrological entity, Lilith, this is NOT
it. As the title implies, this is the dark side of Lilith and serves
as a warning of what her worst-case influence can be, i.e.
“stainless steel estrogen with a razor’s edge.” Liliths addressed
include Dark Moon Lilith (True and Mean); Jacobson Lilith (a.k.a.
Black Moon Lilith) and Asteroid Lilith (Asteroid 1181); stellar
Lilith, the fixed star, Algol is mentioned but not in the same
depth. This short but not-so-sweet book written in the author’s
characteristic style of dry wit and acerbic humor includes a brief
description of the Lilith myth and archetype, the astrological
implications of each by house placement, and examples of Lilith’s
power in action as shown through chart delineations of three women
in the news who succumbed to these influences, i.e. Lisa Nowak,
Andrea Yates and Casey Anthony. Amazon.com Reviews

This book was gifted to me for an honest review. And I'm glad it
was. I have always been confused by all the different Liliths
referred to in astrological discourses. Marcha Fox not only clearly
explains the differences between the Liliths, she does so in an
engaging, entertaining manner. Ms. Fox details the mythological
backgrounds, the astrological implications, as well as how the
different Liliths' placements would manifest in the chart. She
describes how Lilith can indicate where one might have issues of
subservience, birth trauma or crazed 'psycho bitches from hell'
co-workers or girlfriends. Finally, she gives in-depth chart
analysis of some notoriously disturbed women and how Lilith played
out in their charts. An engrossing, fascinating foray into the dark
energy of Lilith!

I started reading this right before bed to relax before going to
sleep. The next thing I knew I was half way into the book. Time is
valuable, so I keep a close eye on it. To me, a book that keeps your
interest without realizing how much time has past is a book worth
reading.
