Lunations and Other Cosmic Events

This month is relatively quiet, at least as far as cosmic events are concerned, but not necessarily peaceful since there are some potentially nasty aspect patterns out there.  At least the lunations are garden-variety and Uranus stations direct, which means for the last few days of December and into January all planets will be direct.  Whether this is good, bad or indifferent remains to be seen, but this doesn't happen that often so it's worth paying attention to see if anything of note occurs.

The New Moon on December 11 is in fellow Fire Sign, Sagittarius, your 5th house of creativity, children, romance, ego definition, entertainment and speculation and sometimes dubbed the "Fun House".  This suggests something new coming your way in this part of your life.  If your birthday is right around August 13 this will have a slightly stronger effect.  Whatever this lunation brings could also mitigate any negative effects from that Cardinal T-square between three malefics, i.e. Uranus, Mars and Pluto.  Uranus is in your 9th house of beliefs and expectations where he has probably been stirring up a few things that could include legal matters, academia, politics, religion or your philosophy of life.  Mars is in Libra, your 3rd house of thoughts, ideas, siblings and neighbors, which implies taking action on something in this area which is being held back by your attitude or some other 9th house matter.  Pluto is in Capricorn, your 6th house of work, health, service and pets where you may be encountering power and control issues or discovering a few things that have been swept under the rug or something that you'd be better off without.  So, that said, look to the New Moon, even if it's no more than your own strong sense of creativity, to work it through.

A long-term square between Saturn and Neptune may be messing with you as well.  This has been around for a while and will unfortunately not end anytime soon due to the fact both are slow-movers.  Saturn in the 5th suggests building or organizing something in this area as defined above, for example a creative project.  Neptune in Pisces, your 8th house of transformations, debt, shared resources, death and regeneration, sex, intense experiences and things you suppress, may be eroding this desire, however.  Neptune is lazy and dreamy and thus not very motivational, especially when it comes to overcoming obstacles.  While he can be inspirational, he can also be delusional and unrealistic.  Thus there will be a continued clash between these energies for a while yet.  Pursuing that project could also be encountering financial issues.  However, getting started, even if only with baby steps at first, is favored, provided you do so in a practical and realistic manner.

The Full Moon on December 25 is in nextdoor neighboring sign, Cancer, your 12th house of spirituality, enlightenment, inspiration, seclusion, confinement, institutions, hidden enemies and self-undoing, suggesting an ending, culmination or shift to a new phase of something in this part of your life.  While Saturn and Neptune are still duking it out, you may nonetheless be inspired to work around it in some manner if you tune into some inspiration or perhaps anything in your subconscious mind that could be holding you back.  Taking action on an idea is likely to encounter some resistance at work or perhaps news at work will squelch it.  There could be some problems commuting as well so drive carefully.

On the positive side, Venus, Jupiter and Mercury are in a nice, friendly sextile pattern that may help you out.  Venus is in your 4th house which should be a favorable influence for your home and starting something new.  Jupiter is in your 2nd house of income, finances, comforts, needs and pleasures which should bring some favorable expansion in that area.  Mercury in Capricorn, your 6th house of work and health, brings news or ideas from this venue that will tie in somehow, perhaps something as simple as a money-making idea from a co-worker.  Conflict is still out there but there are enough positive aspects to indicate a way around them.
