Lunations and Other Cosmic Events

The Full Moon on 5 March is in nextdoor neighboring sign, Virgo, your 12th house of visions, dreams, spirituality, your subconscious mind, institutions, confinement, seclusion, hidden enemies and self-undoing or what I tend to refer to as the house of the rising sun.  No, just kidding.  That just kind of came out.  Of course the "house of the rising sun" (besides being a cool song popular back in the 60s) is your first house defined by your ascendant.  What I really mean is I sometimes refer to the 12th house as the one that comprises both angels and demons.  Typically a Full Moon brings an ending, culmination, or shift to a new phase so look for something that meets that description.  This lunation packs a pretty big wallop since it reinforces an aspect pattern which has been out there for a while and will persist just past the middle of the month, and then come back for an encore around the May - June timeframe.  I call this particular pattern an adjustment loop because as far as I know it doesn't have any other official name.  It comprises Jupiter, Uranus and Pluto, slow-moving outer planets, which is why it is hanging around for a while.

Jupiter is in Leo, your 11th house of friends, organizations, groups, goals, hopes, wishes and networking where he is probably having an expansive effect.  He is currently retrograde, however, which gives the energy more of a philosophical influence where you may find yourself questioning the value of certain things that reside there.  Uranus is in fellow Cardinal Sign, Aries, your polar sign and 7th house of close relationships.  This is likely to be bringing a variety of disruptions, disturbances, surprises and probably unusual people into your life.  The trine between Uranus and Jupiter will make this influence pretty hard to miss.  The third component is Pluto, also in a Cardinal Sign, in this case Capricorn, your 4th house of home environment, cultural roots, memories, endings and new beginnings.  If your birthday is right around October 8 - 11 your natal Sun is being zapped by Uranus and Pluto which probably isn't much fun.  Luckily, your sign ruler, Venus, is conjunct Uranus which could soften these effects somewhat.  Your friends are likely to be a valuable resource at this time and help you over some of the rough spots.

This lunation also contains an aspect pattern known as a yod, a.k.a. "finger of God," which tends to have a fated flavor.  It contains two of the same planets of that adjustment loop, i.e. Jupiter and Pluto, with the third one the Sun, ruler of your 11th house of friends and so forth as noted earlier.  This suggests that a friend from work may bring information which you will find useful and perhaps help shape a new goal or aspiration in the process which will ultimately have an important impact on your life.

On 14 March Saturn, who is the exalted ruler of your sign and thus generally your friend, goes retrograde in Sagittarius, your 3rd house of thoughts, ideas, siblings, neighbors and local travel.  This tends to slow things down a bit and can throw boundaries and obstacles in your path but the general message of Saturn RX is to rebuild or restructure something.  He usually operates at the subconscious level until he goes direct at which time it becomes apparent what you need to do.  He does make it back into Scorpio for a time, your 2nd house of income and possessions, so that part of you life is likely to be involved as well.  It's possible that information or thoughts about your job will be part of this process as well.

The New Moon on 20 March is also a total solar eclipse though it will only be visible in a narrow path across the North Atlantic and Polar Regions.  If you want to see where you can see a map here.  Eclipses are a lot stronger than the usual garden variety lunation and also last longer, sometimes months, before the effects manifest.  This one occurs in Pisces, your 6th house of work so watch for something new in that part of your life as well as more information that brings new people into your life or perhaps new goals.  Cleaning up matters related to home is also possible.
