Lunations and Other Cosmic Events

The Full Moon on 5 March occurs in fellow Mutable Sign, Virgo, your 10th house of career, reputation, public image and status.  This suggests an ending, culmination or shift to a new phase of something in this part of your life.  This lunation emphasizes an aspect pattern I call an adjustment loop which has been out there for a while now and will remain in force for a while longer, fade out for a couple months and then resume in the May 'til early June timeframe.  This is because the Sun, Moon, Jupiter, Uranus, Pluto and even Venus are all in 14 - 15 degrees of their respective signs for this lunation which will throw a lot of energy toward those of you born between December 6 -10 as they aspect your Natal Sun.

The adjustment loop comprises Jupiter, Uranus and Pluto which is being nudged by the Sun and Moon.  Jupiter is in fellow Fire Sign, Leo, your 9th house of beliefs, expectations, higher learning, legal matters, other cultures, long-distance travel, relocation and philosophy of life.  Jupiter is your sign ruler and he's accidentally dignified in the 9th house which he rules zodiacally, i.e. Sagittarius.  Thus, he is presiding over those parts of life with which he has a strong affinity.  An expansion in this area is thus to be expected and now that he's retrograde you may be quite philosophical, even more so than usual.

Uranus in Fellow Fire Sign, Aries, can thus form a Grand Fire Trine with your Natal Sun if your birthday is within the range noted above.  Aries is your 5th house of creativity, ego definition, romance, children, entertainment and speculation.  Uranus brings surprises, disruptions, disturbances, rebellion and originality.  This is likely to bring out parts of you that even you didn't know existed as you expand your view of the world and allow yourself the freedom of authenticity.  So far so good, but now Pluto comes into the act in nextdoor neighboring sign, Capricorn, your 2nd house of finances, income, possessions, needs, comforts and pleasures.  Pluto is the planet of transformation, power, control, and exposing corruption.  One way this could manifest would be if your finances are out of control or perhaps strained while Uranus over there in the 5th is egging you on to spend money you don't have.  This would force some adjustments which this lunation may actually facilitate.

On 14 March Saturn stations retrograde in your sign and if your birthday is right around November 27 this will occur conjunct your Natal Sun.  If that's you then I recommend you read my blog "Surviving Saturn Transits" which you can find here.  Unless you have your life under perfectly disciplined control this is likely to be a somewhat nasty transit.  Saturn is all about responsibility, meeting your obligations and being ambitious in an organized and methodical manner so if this is not already you then Saturn is going to try and whip you into shape.  Saturn is also the Lord of Karma so any bad decisions you may have made are likely to come back to bite you at this time as well.  Just sayin'.  For the rest of you Archers, Saturn in your first house will bring this influence in a softer, subtler way.  Those of you born later be warned that he will eventually find his way to your door so you may want to start putting things in order to perhaps mitigate the effects.  That, of course, is not particularly normal Fire Sign behavior, but as your astrologer I feel it is my duty to point that out.

The New Moon on 20 March is in Pisces, your 4th house of home environment, memories, cultural roots, endings and new beginnings.  News or information may come your way that further influences those attitude changes currently in-work.  Note, also, that this is a total solar eclipse which gives it additional energy and longevity so the effects may take a while to show up.  The eclipse path of visibility lies across the North Atlantic and into the Polar Regions so not too many will get to witness it.  Go here if you want to see a basic map of where it can be seen.  The good news is that Venus has gone into Taurus, your 6th house of work, health, service and pets, where she is dignified and likely to do you some good in this part of your life.  If your finances are strained, this could even help in that regard.  Your in-born optimism is one of your greatest assets and can get your through just about anything life can throw your way, as you have probably already discovered.
