Lunations and Other Cosmic Events

The first astrological event of note this month is Mercury stationing direct on October 9 in fellow Cardinal Sign, Libra, your 4th house of home environment, cultural roots, memories, endings and new beginnings.  The entire retrograde took place in this sign, implying the need to rethink, revise, repair, reconsider or revisit something in this part of your life.  If your birthday is right around June 22 the station squares your Natal Sun, giving it more significance.  Watch for an opportunity related to work or your health that comes about as a result.  The Sun is in Libra as well, bringing emphasis to this part of your life which may also relate to something regarding a relationship.  Pluto is transiting your 7th house that includes your significant other, close friends and relatives, business partners, business professionals, cliental, employees, competitors and open enemies.  You may also be encountering power struggles or simply need to take control of a situation regarding one or more of these individuals, though something or someone may be standing in your way.  Uranus in your 10th house of career implies changes and disruptions which could relate to home.

Your 3rd house of thoughts, ideas, siblings, neighbors, and local travel, i.e. Virgo, is loaded with planetary energy.  This include Venus, Mars, the Moon and Jupiter, all of whom are opposing Neptune in fellow Water Sign, Pisces, your 9th house of philosophy of life, beliefs, expectations, attitude, higher learning, legal matters, other cultures, long-distance travel and relocation.  Neptune will be in that location for a long time and while he will hopefully inspire you and provide a vision for good, he can also be too idealistic and delusional.  The opposition with all those planets in practical Virgo implies overwhelming influences regarding the practical nature of things, information that needs to be incorporated into your belief system.  Mars, the Moon and Jupiter are trining Pluto, however, which implies these practical thoughts can have a positive bearing on a relationship, particularly any that need to be eliminated or transformed.

The New Moon on October 12 is also in Libra, suggesting something new coming to your 4th house of home environment.  The opposition to Uranus in your 10th of career and status suggests it will have a disruptive effect.  Saturn in Sagittarius, your 6th house of work, health and pets, implies hard work and possible resistance to your ideas or goals.  Being practical as noted earlier will be helpful, however, in surmounting any relationship issues.  Practicality dealing with any 3rd house matter is definitely likely.  Jupiter in Virgo can go overboard with detail or criticism with the trine to Pluto even pushing toward obsession.  Thus, whoever or whatever Pluto in your 7th of relationships stands for, be aware that obsessing on it is likely as well as wanting to take action, though this may not be your best course of action.

The Full Moon on October 27 is in Taurus, your 11th house of goals, groups, organizations, friends, hopes, wishes and networking.  This suggests an ending, culmination or shift to a new phase.  All that practicality has shifted its direction to Uranus in your house of career in status and indicates a change of direction is likely.  If your birthday is right around June 25 this lunation forms an aspect pattern known as a Triangle of Potential with your natal Sun.  This suggests you can leverage these forces to your advantage.  If there is something you really want to accomplish, applying your heart-felt creativity to it is likely to pay off.
