This month the first astrological event of note is Mercury stationing direct on October 9.  This occurs in Libra, your 6th house of work, health, service and pets.  Since the entire retrograde gig occurred in Libra, this suggests the need to rethink, revise, reconsider or rework something in this part of your life whether it's your current project at work or perhaps your health and fitness plan.  The sextile from Mercury to Saturn in Sagittarius, your 8th house of transformations, suggests an opportunity to restructure whatever it is as well, thus bringing tangibility into the picture. 

There's a cluster of planets including your sign ruler, Venus, Mars, the Moon and Jupiter in fellow Earth sign, Virgo, your 5th house of creativity, self-expression, ego definition, children, romance, entertainment and speculation which is bound to be up to something.  All four of them are opposing Neptune in Pisces, your 11th house of goals, friends, networking, groups, organizations, hopes and wishes.  Neptune can be a bit off-the-wall and off into Fantasyland but as a practical person, you can probably manage this energy well.  If anything, Neptune can provide you with the vision you need to set lofty goals.  The oppositions hailing from Virgo can work in your favor and bring your practical, realistic nature to bear with creativity that is precise, critical, and detail-oriented to balance out anything unrealistic.  Furthermore, Mars, the Moon and Jupiter are trining Pluto in fellow Earth sign, Capricorn, your 9th house of beliefs, expectations, higher learning, philosophy of life, other cultures, long-distance travel and relocation.  Pluto brings transformations and helps you get rid of things you no longer need, which in this case could be limiting beliefs, perhaps because you tend to be too practical and security minded.  This could be a time to throw caution to the winds and pursue something you've never done before.

The New Moon on October 12 is also in Libra, suggesting something new coming your way with regard to your work or health.  The lunation is opposing Uranus in Aries, your 12th house of dreams, visions, enlightenment, spirituality, your subconscious mind, seclusion, confinement, institutions, hidden enemies and self-undoing.  Uranus is innovative, rebellious and unconventional, which could be working on your tendencies as a Fixed sign to open yourself up to new possibilities.  The other energies are mostly the same as Mercury's station, though they are diminishing a bit. 

The Full Moon on October 27 is in your sign and on your natal Sun if your birthday is within a day or so of April 24.  The typical effect of this type of lunation is to bring an ending, culmination or shift to a new phase.  The quincunx from the Moon to Saturn suggests a change of direction with a transformational effect, i.e. something that could be life-changing.  The oppositions from Virgo to Neptune have diminished with the Sun trining Neptune from your 7th house which suggests someone close to you may shed some light on the subject of an influential nature.  The remaining planets in Virgo, including your sign ruler, Venus, are quincunx Uranus, suggesting a change of course.  This indicates that Uranus has made some progress at the subconscious level, perhaps bringing some inspiration or enlightenment you can accept, to move in a slightly different direction with something related to your 5th as defined above.
